      Don't play them in a viewport. Just pick let's say 2 million and go to cache and bake. When it's done you can render the whole animation. You always preview lower numbers than crank it up just before baking and rendering.

    btw, if anyone doesn't have the best computer(like me), instead of cubes you can create a cone. And then decrease the vertices to 3 this will remove 1/4 of the vertices and make it a bit more faster

    If I scale down the size into 0.05 or 0.003 as you suggest, all of them are just too small and simply not visible. If I leave at the default value, the cubes and their borders are still visible. I thing it's not working for me.

    • @codylawes6901
      @codylawes6901 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! That may be because your emission strength is not big enough, also while viewing the animation in real time, not all of the bloom is visible. Once you render the animation, it should still look really good!

      Under the "physics" tab, there's "boids" and "keyed" in addition to others. "keyed" is a weird way of making the particles flow from one configuration to another. You'd have to look up the tutorials or man pages yourself, but "keyed animation blender" would probably find instructions.

    • @pennygadget7328
      @pennygadget7328 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You totally can, you only need to use another object as a container for the particles. Enable "collision" for the particles (in the particles tab) then take your container object and enable the separate "collision" option (in the physics tab). Uncheck the visibility boxes for the container so you only see the particles inside and et voila.
      There are options for permeability (whether particles can exit the container and how often), friction (how much the particles slow when they touch the container, if at all), particle annihilation (deleting when they touch the container), on and on to get the exact behavior you're looking for. The object can be stationary, animated, you can even use a rigged character, walking about with a full particle system running inside them. :)

    is there a way to make the particles move in a pseudo random way by playing with the force field parameters? Coz right now on every animation loop they have a specific path. There may be a way to use drivers on some of the force field parameters to make the particles move randomly or at least look random.

    Can't you like render the particles with hair or something? In c4d rendering something like this would take less than a sec for a frame

    Great, Ducky! please tell me, after rendering the particles flicker. what is this happening for?

    1st. If you guys not seeing particles in render - it's because time remapping messes up playhead position. You render different frame.
    2st. I tested out some ways to slow down animation: particles feature is somewhat broken, there are unfixable issues starting from Blender 2.5.

    Thanks to Ducky for cool tutor tho. It still looks cool.
