I am just finding these videos but I just want to say thank you for making these. I don't think I can express how comforting to know that there are other people who go through similar things. It takes courage to share anything related to mental health, so I completely appreciate your videos. Thank you.
Alters need rules to be able to have the body or host to function properly. Like an older alter who drives and switches to a little may need to "hang around" to help the little drive. It's a way for the collective to work together in some cases.
Do you (Tomi) go to this "other world, house thing" as well, and if so, can you pretty much make anything you want appear (as mentioned about the food earlier)?
All evidence across the psychological and psychiatric communities have all said it is a result of repeated severe systematic trauma starting in early childhood. I have never read of a case where it happened "naturally" or someone was just born with it. But that is a great question, thank you.
Jonathan was my twin brother who died when he was five. That was Beth's creation. That was why she was born, to take that memory from me and that experience.

As in I am thinking about writing about how specific people cope with traumatics with multiple personalities. So yeah, I just typed a long paragraph to say, me too.
Am I getting too deep in the questions?...'cause I have a lot.. just out of this video. I wonder if by doing this, it may cause some... disturbing .. either to the alters or Tami herself? Please let me know. Thanks
The alters were created to take abuse, some take specific types of abuse, like beatings, or mutilation. Each one has a specific set of memories they took from me during my life time and as I became stronger they released those memories to me. MP is an acronym for Multiple Personality, it's just an abbreviated form. The "having dealt with something like this" is about rape. Kortni, Sara, Niki, and Mimi were all created when I was very young and couldn't understand why that was happening.
@sidian3 that's true.. we're watching sybil, and i find it rather fascinating. I didnt know trauma could cause that. Does everybody with MPD might be triggered by other people's changed? and why cant some people control it? Im really sorry i ask a lot. hope i'll get to talk to Hari one day :)
Beth mentions Johnathan [being shot] then describes a scene where "she" witnessed a "thing" [a kid] lying on the floor... Who is Johnathan ? And how, or why, this "scene" comes into play when Beth was asked for the day she was created? Thanks
Im confused, when the core person is like totally 'concious' if you can put it that way? :S and the other personalities aren't out, are they like 'live' like they know what is going on in the present day, or is it all just surpressed memories from childhood and stuff?
@lilmisswisebrown They know every moment of everyday since they were created. When one is co-conscious with me, they are out but with me. When they are inside, they are aware of everything that is going on.
@naszJ I wish they had better information in psychology classes. They only look at it from a clinical point of view and not so much from the perspective of the person who has it. Maybe with more introduction to the disorder, better information can be spread and learned from. Yeah, I have to agree, Hari is pretty darn cute. :)

I really do appreciate that. Sometimes I think the hurt people like that cause themselves is more retribution than any prison can give them.

@thissgirl82 Willown is another alter. He is very Zen like, very calming. He has not started going through his memories yet. That is why he is calm.
@chattychick244 I have 20 alters and they range from 2 to 54. The ones that come out the most often are Hari, Beth and Richi and sometimes Mimi.
