After uploading fostering video, I learned there was some confusion. Here is my attempt to clarify situations.
MPD/DID/Fostering And Anxiety

A cautionary tale regarding mental illness and being a foster parent. After a lot of consideration, I finally had to admit I am not mom material.

In my front yard, the place I don't really want to be. But, each plant we have in the ground requires tending. So, After a half xanax, two cups of coffee, and a LOT of talking down off the ledge, I go and check my plants. I discovered our cucumbers needed pruning because it's coming to the end of the season, but there are a lot of flowers still. I put blood meal at the base of each plant and th...

Although it's small in comparison to some other gardens, it fits our needs. We are even able to share with our neighbor. We've gardened for three years now, learning each time what we can do better the next growing season. Our bounty will not be great this year because for some reason Spring here in Memphis stayed chilly and we think it affected the roots of all of our plants. Not to be deterre...
MPD/DID/Worm Tea Harvest
มุมมอง 394 ปีที่แล้ว
This is our method if harvesting "worm tea," more commonly known as worm urine. But plants LOVE it. If you intend to dilute the tea, it must be used quickly. However, we have allowed ours to sit and mature some before applying to our garden beds. The result so far is faster-growing baby watermelons.

I have discovered the deep concentration needed for baking helps bring me back in my body. For those who live in their heads will understand this. By Paul Hollywood (with a few tweaks for my personal taste) Ingredients 500g/1lb 2oz strong white bread flour, plus extra for dusting 10g/1⁄4 fine salt 7g sachet instant yeast 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for greasing and drizzling 350ml/12fl oz warm...

Failure is a part of life, but believe it or not, it's ok. Because from each failure there is a lesson. There is something taken from the experience. Getting up again is key to survival. Fail, repeatedly, learn repeatedly, success will come.
Potato Harvest

Today we harvested our red potatoes, we also discussed how we planted. It's a little unorthodox the way we did it but you just can't argue with the results.

Those damn gardens!!
This was powerful. I got a bit teary-eyed. It's an intense journey, that's for sure. Thank you for educating us about it. 🌷🌹🌹🌷
This was helpful and inspiring. Thank you. 💖
I miss your videos….
As long as you take care of yourself and there’s no reason why someone can’t
Richi at the start of this video gets me every time it's so funny 😂
well done!!!
This was SO helpful, thank you!!! I worried so much about this for my goal of becoming a foster parent, yet at the same time I'm like "how many people realistically DONT have some kind of mental illness? None! It has to be okay for many people" lol
Unfortunately to blurry to see.
Wondering how you guys are doing. Hope all is well
I'm here for long sould system
Help me please.
Hehehe
Thanks for making videos. Just felt like sharing that we've been watching your vids for the past about 8-9 years. And you're one of our inspirations for starting to make videos too. (Not sure if we ever commented before, but maybe under the name building burning). Anyway thanks for sharing!
I am so happy to see you again!!!!🥰 It's lovely to see you and hear your voice. I'm here for whatever you have to say or do. Much love to you and your doggies 💕
I really like your vlogs. Take care.
Thank you!
@@TomiJamison Just been going through some of your old ones , you really are a wonderful woman and so genuine and caring for those watching and in your explanations of things - I wish all the very best ! X
Oh how I wish I could talk to you..this is making sense. I'm not diagnosed and the disappearing that I do at least in public ( which I avoid at all costs) isn't flamboyant or obvious everyone still sees me..maybe anxious or forgetful is what they say I only just recently felt comfortable asking and admitting I wasn't present. Kinda hard to keep appointments I don't remember making I'm 56 and have always known that a different girl got in the car with GP. That I would wake up as innocent me between naked men then snap off into a black place. I've had blank spots whenever something horrific happened So I avoided all relationships to make sure I was safe and didn't trigger the blank spots. Just now willing to try to look at and try to work with this instead of being ( feeling) like I'm just hijacked and have no say in doing something healthy like the dentist. I know I'm at least the next step from mpd more than regular disassociation ..it's amnesiac when it appears sexual things including dentistry might happen. I've woke up from being gone for a day or two and either find cinnamon toast and cocoa or wine and sex sites. I'm so afraid to work on this I'm afraid I'll die..which as a kid or up to 30 was absolutely true my life was very dangerous. Thanks for the videos, I'm grateful for someone trying to make sense
Good healing vibes sent your way
I fostered and it is rewarding, but very challenging. You both did great and I know those girls got a lot out of being in your care.
I always wondered what happened with that journey. Thank you for letting us know. 🙂
Im going to be honest in nj if u as a foster parent didnt pick up the phone and the child was in a car accident that would be automatic removal of your foster liescence you'd never ever be a foster parent
In nj cps the worker tells foster parents when it comes to kids with mental health issues call hospital crisis number let the local hospital deal with it
The second girl wasn't through an agency. She was, as I mentioned in the video, the friend of the first girl. With the first girl we did everything we were legally required.
Also, after the third run away from first girl, care worker did place her in a facility who were able to properly care for her.

@@TomiJamison why do they try to put the worst of worst kids in newly foster parent homes
@@mattiadizard7431 I dont think it was a huge conspiracy, they don't have enough homes to place kids and in their defense, the first girl we fostered we actually inquired about to possibly adopt later. We just had no idea how much help she needed.
your message is so important, everyone has their own blueprint!
I need to be on the antidepressant that you're on. I have absolutely no modulation to do anything at all. I'm a blob on the couch. I don't have health insurance though. 😔
Kroger, Walgreens, and other pharmacies now offer prescription saving programs. You may also qualify for SSI and other public assistance. That said, I will add the side effect from my antidepressant is one of the rare ones, it never goes away. Lots of people see it as a blessing but it's not really. Being unable to sit, or forgetting to eat because I also never feel hungry, is not a blessing. It can and has caused serious health issues. All I can say is, look into your options for assistance and try different antidepressants. It took over 30 years and many tries to find one that worked for me.
Did the door laches finally match up? You guys are awesome together.. "but hit us up" 🤣
They did finally match up! Those buggers.
Great video. May I mirror it on my channel and send subscribers your way?
Sure! That would be great! Thank you!
You did very well fighting that anxiety and your garden is great 💕
Thanks
You're very welcome!
Good to see you again! You are looking good!
Thanks for this. You have made me think. 🙂
Have a great weekend Lyn.
So true. Great point.
So glad you've started back posting vids.
Wow you certainly have been through a very very tough time! My gosh, I can’t wear jumpers even in winter due to my stress/anxiety sweating lol. I’m an introvert too so I completely relate there too. I’m so sorry stressful things are having such an impact now. Really hope you keep posting ☺️ I’ve cone to realise you could talk about pretty much anything and I’d still watch lol x
Hi Lyn, I want to tell you I'm so glad to see you.I was surprised to see your video pop up in my sub list. You've really had a rough time, and been through so much. Until now I didn't know you were posting videos again.I hope you'll continue.Your channel, you, were a favorite.Even if you feel there's not a lot going on maybe it will help a little to just talk. I too am an introvert, I get exhausted being around people.I'll remember you in prayer, hope you begin feeling better soon.I know the strong antibiotics can be hard to take. 💐
Fantastic video. Learning to treat DID and I believe the best education comes from those living it. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for coming back Lyn (especially now with the did community such a mess). Please take care of yourself and don't push yourself too hard.
The DID community is a mess? What happened? I really need to check up more often.
@@TomiJamison A young woman from the UK got very famous making these over the top production videos romanticizing the disorder. In my opinion, it was done in bad taste. Lots of young people joined the community thanks to Jessica from Multilicty and Me and if you ask me they look like a bunch of people more worried about becoming famous than spreading awareness and sharing their story. Jessica seems like a lovely lady but some of these others... Anywho. The young women in question, Chloe has a channel called DissociaDID, she was accused of racism, spreading misinformation, trying to help young people secure a professional diagnosis by coaching them about what to say to their psychiatrist, and apparently, the woman she was married also has DID and was accused of drawing children in kink art online. Despite all of those scandals the one that finally nailed her coffin shut was when another youtube shared messages in which Miss. Wilkinson states that she shared a suicide attempt to make those criticizing her behavior feel bad about themselves. She has pretty much been ran off the community but according to twitter is just now behind a paywall with the people who still support her.
I think I know who are talking about and I find her approach very well done. Alters, systems, or however each of us call our people, should be recognized for there efforts. People without the "disorder" are very curious on how systems function inside and she showed them that. It's so difficult to describe adequately and what she did was very creative.
So glad you are back! Sorry to hear about your health issues! I’d love to hear more about them, plus more about what’s been happening in the past 5 years, plus a mental health update ☺️ are you still fostering? Xx
It’s great to see you back! So sorry you’ve been having such health problems. Don’t push yourself - As they say, “Low and slow is the way to go.”
Simple fix that a professional should have known. 🤷🏻♂️
Exactly!!
2020 and everything's inflamed! So true! I love your videos.
It's good to see you doing videos again. Hang in there. Go at your own pace. Keeping you in my prayers.
Where did you get this map? I have been looking for one for traditional (no GPS Navigation) traveling.
I get a road atlas book from like Walgreens or Walmart, and I can get state maps at truck stops. Sometimes they have free state maps at rest areas, but not all of them carry them.
@@TomiJamison thank you!
Hi! How are you all doing?
Doing ok! How are you?
Lyn Jamison Hanging in there. 👍🏻
Adorable!!!!
Thank you!
I was in Forster care for about 9 months when I was 11. I have depression and anxiety both under control now. I have seen a therapist several times starting at age 11 when I was in foster care then a couple times as I got older. I was very up front and open about my trauma and past with my therapist. I mentioned how I did meth for 2 months at age 15 😔 I have not touched it since and I can pass a drug test! Will they disqualify me from being a foster parent for this? I’m just worried about it being on record with my therapist.
you are the first system we found on youtube and we used to watch your videos all the time. we still share your Five Steps video with other systems that we know. thanks for being a trailblazer for systems on youtube!
Thank you so MUCH!! That's so sweet!
Does anyone know if Tomi started a new channel or if they're okay? I really miss their system's amazing videos, and she left on such an emotional note with her daughter and everything. I just hope the system and their partner are doing well and that they're healthy and happy because they deserve it... Miss you Tomi
I'm ok, had a lot of stuff going on. Thank you for checking up on us. Be well.
@@TomiJamison wow, thank you for the reply! Relieved to hear you're okay. Take care :)
