As a mortician... I can assure you that this was not easy to do and it's expensive. The time it would take and the careful handling of everything from start to finish. Well done. I've done something like this twice here in America... the families were being true to their native customs. This is not a new trend & it's been going on for hundreds of years in both the black & white race. Google death photos from the 1700-1800's You'll see a lot of odd things (to us!) However, to most of them from that time period, the death picture may be the only photo of their loved one, was from the funeral.

Actually back in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s in the US it was normal to the display the deceased in this fashion. Today we call it laying in state. Families also used to take family portraits with a recently deceased relative.
I understand the intention, and I respect the family. Everybody Morance, different ways, and everybody’s culture is different. Not right or wrong. Different! Personally, I would’ve been traumatized by this but also I respect that the family and the decedent wanted something special for his funeral. I hope all involved are blessed at peace. Do a little research and you’ll find that this is how some people do it in other cultures. And the deceased (many times) even specify their exact wishes to be embalmed like this. Just because it’s not your typical way, doesn’t mean people have to alter their culture to suit YOUR preferences

In Los Angeles California, they have a drive-through funeral home. In Dallas Texas, they do any kind of funeral you want done with your loved ones. Again, this isn't unusual to see this done.

Am seeing there is a period of success which has been knocking on your door for a very long period of time but you don't know how to open for it in your life. And there are dreams you have been getting at night which you forget when you wake up, some times you hear someone calling you but the voice disappears, and when your in a room alone you always have the feeling that your not alone. This is not Culture, this is personal preference by the family or the deceased before they passed. Many go over the top when a loved one dies, but probably didn't show them a quarter of that devotion when they were alive.

Actually back in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s in the US it was normal to the display the deceased in this fashion. Today we call it laying in state. Families also used to take family portraits with a recently deceased relative.
This is what the family wanted. Somebody in the family approved this, and the funeral home charged extra money for this
