I only found this out after uploading the video. Also, there will be 3 new locations added during season 1 of the DLC and more WRX courses in season 2. So the track and car list will be getting bigger.

im really glad to see that too. it is quite a niche and very focused channel - racing games. however to balance it out, we have a very talented commentator and a decent player. i personally enjoyed the memefest of forza motorsport during the original collision model era, but i like that it is also trying to appeal to the real simulation driver now. i just hope the memes arent forgotten, forza horizon 4 just doesnt cut it. silly driving doesnt count as silly driving when the whole game is silly you know? keep up the good work SuperGT. if everything fails and you bottle every race, try investing in that commentator career somewhere. untill then - race on!

I started building my videogame driving skill with dirt rally 2.0. I learned alot from that game like throttle management and drifting without steering assist. So when I moved to Assetto Corsa, my muscle memory from dirt rally 2.0 became a godsend and it helped me develop my skill in assetto too.
Codmaster in the first 3 months will release dirt1 monte , Sweden and Germany. They are just lazy as fuck, they could make a rally of Provence for example with snow and tarmac but they are bum

Monte Carlo comes in March and Sweden in April, Germany in May. Between those rallies we also get new cars to drive. That's the first DLC-season of the two Codemasters have announced. The second season probably will give us more cars and rallies like Finland, Wales and Greece. Codemasters have announced the two seasons will bring us cars and remade stages from the first Dirt Rally. All of the above can be purchased in advance for cheap if you get the Deluxe-edition of the game which will be released at February 22nd. The Deluxe is aprox. 20 euros/dollars more expensive than the regular version.

The last rally game I liked a little bit was Collin McRae Rally back on the original xbox. I did get Dirt 3 in a steam sale a few months back for 99p and I've tried to like it but I've realised that I prefer circuit racing. PCARS 2 and the GT3, LMP cars are my goto choice for racing thrills along with ACC.
Hey Super GT. There's a lot of artifacting in this video, especially in the stages with lots of trees in them. This is mainly caused by youtube's low bitrate for 1080p videos. One workaround is to upscale your video to 1440p or 4k before uploading it, so we got higher bitrate videos available for viewing. Something to consider, maybe?
Nice video. Disappointed in the lack of snow stages, and I wished you would talk about the tarmac stages, other people say that they are really arcade-ish

Waiting for VR implementation. It looks pretty good but if I get it now it will just gather dust until I can play in VR. I was tempted to buy as I think getting the pre-order should give you access to the DLC that is being released in summer (when VR is supposedly being implemented), but VR isn't listed as a feature on the DLC and if that feature follows the same format as the other post-release content then I'm betting they are going to make VR a payed add-on separate from the scheduled DLC. I know that they're just trying to make money but this is a really expensive game...I just can't justify buying it now.
I'd love for you to cover this game. Maybe you could make a video covering every car in the game in detail in a series like fashion. Or maybe you could upload some of your stage runs and commentate them similar to gts or f7. I recently got dirt 4 then upgraded to dirt rally so these games have my interest at the moment. My biggest gripe with Rally 1.0 was not the game mechanics, physics, etc. It was the lack of... Content. Just an extreme lack of content, in both cars, car types and especially tracks. The "random track generator" or whatever that was also kept reusing the same corners over and over again so after a few hours you start recognizing corners and you know exactly how to take them. This one does look a lot better. But I will wait out some more reviews before picking it up or not.
For me in first dirt was not the fact it was hard to stay on the road. I managed for most of the track, but the problem was that your rivals was very very fast. So either you try go faster than you can handle (most players) or go slower but with no chance to finish first.
When the car turns looks like the wheels in the back turn just like the front which for me is a huge deal. The graphics are amazing but the physics are terrible

2:01, that's exactly what I hate about the last 3 Dirt games. The steering wheel is connected to the car, not the front wheels! Fuckall happens when you use sharp inputs on dirt IRL. Making the car rotate fast enough is often difficult, that's why we use handbrake turns and feints, just to get the rotation going.
dude has just got a top notch sim rig, but still playing with a pad - rally with a pad. Rally is so much better with wheel bc you really get to spin the wheel and codemasters has done great job with the ffb so i bet u can really feel the road degregation. i couldnt drive dirt rally with a pad, the dirt 4 was okay, but as i got my g29 and went back to dirt rally, it changed the game for me completely.
Codies dropped the ball with no VR.. The flashes from the spectators cameras is a nice touch tho. The game really does look great I'll say that. But Hopefully I'm just blind but in all those cars and I didn't see the Audi Quattro. The original one... Wut.. But they do have my car! EVO X FTW !

Why does the car look like its turning on its center not turning using its wheels. It reminds me a lot of Colin Mcrae Rally 2005 and similar games. The car kinda spins instead or turning.

Loving Dirt 2.0, even though I'm playing it with an XBOX 360 controller as long as I stick to the weaker cars it is very much enjoyable. Which means I'll never drive the Porsche or the AUDI Quatro but there are enough naturally aspirated FW cars to have a lot of fun ^^

The only thing I dislike about Dirt Rally 1 is the game will punish you every time for restarting the race. That should had been a optional difficulty. Other then that it a really great game. I hope this turn out well!

Difference between Rally and standard Dirt series?? It looks just like Dirt 4 (the only one I've played) but ppl rate the Rally spinoffs way higher then the main series.
I must admit that I really liked Dirt Rally, then DR2 was announced and I was a bit disappointed with the initial stuff. But the ability to choose tires and the surface degradation has peaked ( no pun ) my interest a little bit. The better physics, especially over tarmac sections has added to that. However, the disclosure that they will be supporting VR has just sent me over the edge :) Will wait until it is implemented and the reviews are in then will probably pick it up.
Can you comment on track degradation? Everything I've heard mentions that tracks deteriorate over time and if you are later to start you are at a disadvantage. Are there any instances you've seen where the opposite is true, that is you actually have a harder time on slippery surfaces out front and the guys behind you have the advantage? This is often the case in different stages of real rally - with clearing of loose dirt/snow.
i get that the handling is improved and what not... but there is something weird in the way the car body shakes on rough surfaces... it 's almost as if its vibrating, it shakes so fast it's seems unrealistic, these cars should have soft suspensions, right?... i hope it's just a visual thing tho and it's not coming from actual suspension physics. i've played the first dirt rally and haven't seen that behaviour. look from 6:50

Season 2 is rallycross tracks unfortunately...and the deluxe costs 56 euros with instant gaming, why buy with steam ?

with dirt 4 having short course offroad trucks i would have liked to see them have more of that much like the baja 1000 and the king of hammers

was hoping you would get an early review for this. you really need to try cockpit or dash cam, completely changes the game. You can really judge corners and control slides much better. Thanks for the video!
Oh yeah. I go to vacation on Catamarca every year. I know all of those places and in the game actually look like Cordoba (where the actual WRC stages are). I suppose it has a licence thing going on.

Nice review, can’t wait to play it. Do you know if the default controller settings are any good or did you have to make any major adjustments? You had the best Dirt Rally controller settings so I was just curious.
I've been playing with the base settings and they feel fine to me.

Wish it had VR, but I won't penalize Codemasters for that, with all the fun and time I put into Dirt Rally, especially after playing it on PSVR. This is looking really good so far. Playing without a monitor that's when it gets really tricky.
Difference between Rally and standard Dirt series?? It looks just like Dirt 4 (the only one I've played) but ppl rate the Rally spinoffs way higher then the main series.
Hope the online Rally Cross is fun.
Even though it was more arcade, DiRT2 was a blast online. It was funny & competitive. Good times.

I must admit that I really liked Dirt Rally, then DR2 was announced and I was a bit disappointed with the initial stuff. But the ability to choose tires and the surface degradation has peaked ( no pun ) my interest a little bit. The better physics, especially over tarmac sections has added to that. However, the disclosure that they will be supporting VR has just sent me over the edge :) Will wait until it is implemented and the reviews are in then will probably pick it up.
Can you comment on track degradation? Everything I've heard mentions that tracks deteriorate over time and if you are later to start you are at a disadvantage. Are there any instances you've seen where the opposite is true, that is you actually have a harder time on slippery surfaces out front and the guys behind you have the advantage? This is often the case in different stages of real rally - with clearing of loose dirt/snow.
Reminds me of Colin McCray rally 04 or 05 by far the best rally game of all time

i get that the handling is improved and what not... but there is something weird in the way the car body shakes on rough surfaces... it 's almost as if its vibrating, it shakes so fast it's seems unrealistic, these cars should have soft suspensions, right?... i hope it's just a visual thing tho and it's not coming from actual suspension physics. i've played the first dirt rally and haven't seen that behaviour. look from 6:50

Take a long time to... learn the stage? What? It's rally! lol.. That's what your co-driver is for! It gets *really* intense when you turn off the on-screen cues and just listen to your co-driver =O
