Bender board is a great product for landscape edging. It is used to seperate one material from another and to create smooth curves. This video explains our installation process in detail.
The lapped joints are for thermal expansion - put a stake on either side and leave a gap but don't screw them together. It allows it to expand/contract without buckling out of the ground. Just an FYI in case you ever run across the issue (maybe not a problem in constant shaded areas)
We typically put the stakes on one side, this is more visually appealing. I would put the stakes on the side that won't be seen as much or that will be covered with a material.
hey. i was wondering if yours warp? our house had these from previous owner for a big yard. and the boards are warped and cracked/broken. we need to replace it, but idk if it will happen again. any tips?

How do i know where to put the stakes inside and where to put them outside.
What kind of screws do you use?
We use 1 1/4” exterior course thread screws. They hold well since they have course threads and black or grey doesn’t stand out.
@@theisslandscapeworks4289 thank you! Doing this today
Nice! I’ve had bad luck where my boards lift up within months . I’m guessing it always happens ?
