My esteemed young teacher, this is a great job and it was worth so much sacrifice for the cold and snow, the result is excellent....at my age (82) I can't afford these escapades anymore but I still live them looking at the your panting video ! Yes!! I love winter painting outdoors as well...the beauty of simplified forms is incredible... But I also have had trouble painting outdoors while it's snowing...luckily I have a spot that is a campground covered shelter in the summer and not used in the winter..great spot for water and mountains pleinair.!! btw I'm 73 years young.!!

I think this is one of your best. No screaming cerulean blues and cadmium yellows for a change thank goodness. Looks great Turner. Nice mix of ridges of impasto and 'flatter' parts. Thanks for posting through the year. All the best for 2023. Cheers.

Something about painting Plein Air in the winter. I love the close values and some of the scattered darks on overcast days and then on sunny days so glourious. Another great painting. Warmest wishes for a happy and healthy New Year to you and your growing family.

I agree with Jim, some beautifully subdued 'dirty' colours in here, especially the greens in the back. I'm going to be painting a lot of plein air in London over the coming year - and if you know anything about our climate, then you know that rain-sodden oil is a certainty. Doubt I'll go as far as to invest in water-soluble oils, but I do think a simple umbrella will help.
