You make your own canvases.. heave then in and over mostly distant and difficult terrain, in all weather conditions. Carry your easel and paints and brushes and turps and sustenance. Paint , squint, create, decide , rethink, challenge yourself and the weather….squint, have a drink of water, a banana, paint observe.repeat repeat repeat over , days. Lug it all back home. Make the frame to precise measurements, fit the painting in and step back and then?
How good does that feel? In your own words, seeing what you have given of yourself, your reading of the terrain, your colour choices.
You look at something beautiful that you created from eyes, mind and hands.
Please say how that feels.

What a great feeling that must be for your children to be impressed AND know where you painted that. Nice work too, reminds me of impressionistics.
It's nice to see how you progress and the struggles that come along. You show everybody that not every painting just comes out how you want and you have to adjust as you go. I love your strong will how you keep pushing through. It is very hard and sometimes to push through paintings. Love your work thanks for sharing

Your greatest strength was demonstrated in the expressive simplicity of the first day's work. Most artist's under paint with great shapes that Require Details to complete the work. Yours does not. Your initial work was the masterpiece.
Your final work was busier and had greater detail, beautiful, yet lacking the amazing expressive simplicity of the first session.

In some of your other works I would wait for it to come together but this work one I was starting to think you were going to overwork it ! wow i hope you get plenty of money for your family for this one .If i were wealthy it would be on my wall.Thanks for letting us see you paint it .Best part of film is when you lift it up for us.I reckon if you keep on painting like you are you will be blessed till the Lord Jesus returns

I so enjoyed watching this that I couldn't stop when it was time to cook up dinner for the family. I boiled the corn and fried up the hashbrowns with one hand while holding my phone with the other, mesmerized by this act of creation on a grand scale. Thank you.

Love a canvas so big you have to move sideways to fill it! There are so many points at which I think your art is complete -- and then you go deeper and deeper. Blue cliffs become purple, tranquil water bubbles and flows with impasto. Your goobers "Whoa!" when you lifted it up at the end says it all.

Loved seeing your process/progress. Really interesting and such an escape for me. Thank you for that. Also building the frame. I grew so tired of looking for straight pieces of wood and ripping them. Suddenly they too would twist and turn. Painting is not for the faint of heart for sure but it’s good to know you’re not alone. Hope you can relate to anything I’m saying. Anyway, it was well worth it in the end and still you managed to keep it fresh and spontaneous. 👍🏼👍🏼❤️
