That line is so cringe in that context... If it were said to some nobody when she's just having fun with some minions, while everything is in a lighter mood, it would work. In her final moment? Not so much...

Well, you probably missed out on Zeus' Lightning Bolt, Gungnir & Excalibur. There's nothing these weapons can't do.
I like how destroying the hammer actually gave it more "physical" offensive capabilities using the shrapnel.
It evolved in a way. I hope Thor learns how to do that move too.

Ah man. The more she uses the hammer the more it's killing her. Almost similar in Iron-Man 2 to when the palladium that was keeping Tony Stark alive was also killing him
yup, in the comics, Jane Foster suffered from breast cancer, Thor wanted to cure her with magic, but she refused and said she would rather go through chemotherapy, he respected her wishes and invited her to represent Midgard on the Council of the Worlds
Jane later became worthy of wielding Mjolnir after Thor became unworthy of it, and she was able to transform into Lady Thor, but doing so caused the chemotherapy chemicals in her body to be purged, the cancer cells are left behind, since they are a natural part of her physiology
Jane continued being Lady Thor even when she was on the verge of dying, she later sacrificed Mjolnir to the sun to defeat the Mangog
Thor and Odin revived her just as she was about to pass onto Valhalla, and Jane eventually entered remission and was cured of her cancer
she became Lady Thor one last time using a war hammer from a dead parallel universe and helped Thor defeat Malekith in the War of the Realms
Jane was then acknowledged as the new All Mother and Thor became the new All Father
in the aftermath of the War of the Realms, Jane saw that all the Valkyries were dead, but the worlds still needed Valkyries to guide heroic souls to Valhalla, so she decided to become a Valkyrie and did so using the "All Metal", a "biometal substance" that is bonded to her and can transform into any weapon she imagines
as a Valkyrie, Jane defeated the Grim Reaper, who was sent by the demon Mephisto to replace her as the guide to the afterlife
she later helped Doctor Strange "cure Death of Death" (a phenomena wherein Lady Death was dying and her reaper, the Death of Death, had to be convinced by Jane that Death was a necessary existence to spare Lady Death from dying)
I never understood why the hammer wasn’t helping with the cancer.
Since it's based off the comics. It's probably also to do with the fact that when she transforms into Thor, the magic purges all toxins from her body. Including the chemotherapy drugs
So using the hammer gave her the strength to fight it, but could not curre it
Because technically the cancer is apart of her body, the hammer only cures external affects
Because the hammer was using her full energy she was physically very weak to defend herself.I think her immunity was also going down .
Could you just imagine if they didn’t do the cancer storyline? I mean I do love it in the comics, but never imagine Natalie Portman would end up being Mighty Thor. LIKE SHE WAS AMAZING!

Poor Thor he probably fall in love with her again when he saw her in the battlefield. And then he lost her. I do hope Loki will not bother with the multi-universe madness and continuity and comes to see him and just tell him he is alive. Like give Thor a break!

Jane Foster is actually cooler in her Mighty Thor superhero persona. I wished that Jane Foster/Mighty Thor survived Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) and married Thor also becoming adoptive mother to Love, Gorr the God Butcher's revived daughter and Thor and Jane had kids who are demigods and demigoddesses half Asgardian and half human and adoptive siblings to Love. I also wished that Mighty Thor appeared in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2025) alongside Thor and Love and reunited with the Loki from Loki (2021) and his love interest/future wife Sylvie. (With Loki becoming Love's adoptive uncle and Sylvie if she ever marries Loki becoming Love's adoptive aunt.) And together Jane, Thor, their children, Love, Loki and Sylvie would all stop Kang the Conquerer and all his variants and forces alongside all the other Avengers plus X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy and Fantasic Four.
Tbh, and this is gonna be a very, VERY hot take. I am more upset at Jane's death than Iron Man's, Loki's, and Widow's. She was so good, but the thing that hurts me the most is how much WASTED potential she had

@@kicknowledgesmith8608Odin's enchantments don't vanish after he died. If that was the case Loki would be blue, the power to channel electricity was also put into the hammer by Odin because he got it made by the dwarfs so the hammer wouldn't be able to channel electricity either.

Agreed, Taika was not suitable for this film. Not that he's bad but he does too much humour. He should be the writer but this film had so much scenes they could muster for emotionally driven parts like Jane dealing with her ticking clock, Thor falling in love again with someone he lost and at risk of losing her again choosing duty vs personal happiness, Valkyrie losing friends she could've been making again as Queen and also a Midgard god. Godbutcher was so powerful in the comics yet we spent too much time on Zeus and some unnecessary jokes. Idm the jealous weapon scenes but ugh I would've been happier to see Thor's decision to give the wish to Gorr so he could spend his remaining time with Jane and potentially either end up with Love as his god-daughter or healing Jane so they could finally have a happy ending. This can be an end to Thor's saga among all the Avengers and have em both return when they want to. But nopeeeeee we get a subpar movie with too much comedy when theres emotions to sell on.

The ending scene is just amazing. Finally they learnt to portray Thor as a powerful god in Natalie Portman character. She's looking stunning. The scene where mjolnir eats up the necro sword and she raises it ... I can't stop my tears. But i never understood her nano tech helmet.

I love this because she fights by using the Physics of the hammer she has studied its weight bending effects, it's magnetic feild generation, Jane foster is the one person who has probably studied the hammer more than anyone.
Although she lacks the sheer combat prowess of Thor, Jane understands how to use the hammer as a tool.
Thor always thought of it as a magical hammer, while she recognized it as a conductor of power.
Also it didn't cure the cancer because its part of her worthyness to die in battle to ascend to Valhalla.
I realize that Natalie Portman probably didn't want to do anymore Thor or Marvel movies, but it's a shame that the Mighty Thor character was a one and done.

I don't care what anyone says, I enjoyed this movie. I had a blast watching it on opening night. The fact that the ending song was "Rainbow in the Dark' by Dio made it even more awesome.

Natalie Portman is the most gorgeous woman ever. She was so powerful and graceful in this movie. It was messed up they just shoved her character out of the window and say that's that.
She even said the physicality that she did in Thor Love and Thunder was different then what she did for Star Wars.

so ive been wondering.... could thor have recalled mjolnir at anytime prior to this movie the same way jane does? i know he tried to call it on sakaar but it was left on earth so i assume it would take way too long to get to him.
Ive been wondering that didn't Hela break his hammer on his home planet, and then that planet is blown up or something at the end of Ragnarrok. But then how did the pieces of the hammer get onto Earth?
@@Mike--Oxmall she broke it on earth because odin was banished to norway and thor assumed it was gone (as we all did). he tried to call it on sakaar but it wouldve taken time to get there so he thought it was gone for good. but since jane uses it the way she does he couldve techincally recalled it at any time because it wouldve put itself back together

I don’t think Jane became worthy on her own like Captain America. If you watch the flashbacks, Thor tells his hammer to protect Jane so the only way the hammer knew to do that was to make her worthy.
