Hello, I absolutely agree with you on many points, particularly on the discussion about the existence of multiple routes to achieve great aim. My aim secrets series seeks to highlight the most unique styles of top players. That being said, I am guilty of trying to direct players towards my way of doing aim training, though I always try and emphasize recognizing how my goals may be different from theirs. Depending on the goal you're working towards, whether it be improving at your main game, improving at the aim trainer, or something more or less specific about aim, there may be certain training frameworks that are more effective than others-- the Bardoz Method being one example. There is a lot of empirical evidence to demonstrate that the Bardoz method is, as of right now, the most efficient way of pushing score in standard static clicking. But again, the alignment of goals is more important. Hard lining the Bardoz Method might not be sufficient for someone whose goal is to eliminate micro or hit confirmation delay in reflex situations. I think that there's a lot of people in aiming who push advice onto others without realizing that the people receiving that advice might have differing goals, down to the very littlest detail. In that regard, it would really help us all if we could learn to be mini coaches, giving advice to others within the context of their goals instead of our own. I also wish this community could be nicer to each other, but even I get caught up in the belief that the very distinct techniques I use to push scores are the most ideal ones. Time and time again, I'm proven wrong.
It's completely understandable. We are human, and it's natural for us to be biased at times or revert to what we know. It just seems like many people think everyone wants to be the next... well, you lol. But many people are just playing to enjoy themselves, and they struggle to have fun because their aim is holding them back. So they aim train and tons of people stuff them with "the optimal routine" and I'm guilty of this at times as well. But as a community, we need to try to be nicer and realize that not everyone wants to be the best. I think it will take time but up to now I'm very happy with the way my community and channel are growing. (P.S. MOM MATTYOW COMMENTED ON MY YT VIDEO!!! AHHHHH I MADE IT MOM!!!! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MATTY!!!)
also just to clarify, There is nothing wrong with pushing your own method or routines. I just don't like the way people go about it. Too many people get so hostile about what they think is the best routine.
Funniest thing I have seen is people arguing about mice too, someone actually told me that the gpx is guaranteed to hold me back, because of the "terrible shape" and "heavy weight"... Like why does preference not exist
While I totally agree with you, the ego in online communities like this is insanely out of control, allow me to play devil's advocate about the rank thing. There are so many options out there for getting information, if people can choose to get information about aiming from someone who is master+ on Voltaic benchmarks vs someone who isn't, of course people are going to place their bets on the person who has personally experienced the higher skill. That's just common sense. People don't have time to and energy to gamble on lower skilled teachers who happen to have the right information when there is a significant chance they could be lead astray.
I completely agree with you on the rank thing. I’m just of the mindset that you should listen to the information of everyone and use your own sense to sift through the garbage and take what you think is good.
@@Coach_Shotty I would agree with that in an ideal world. However given we have finite time and an unreliable capacity to sift through said garbage, caused by the very ignorance that we are trying to remedy, I think the shortcut of appealing to conventional authority in terms of benchmarks like this is extremely expedient. There will of course be some babies thrown out with the bathwater but by and large there is a lot of misinformation to be avoided too. This being said, politeness gets you everywhere in this world and we sure could use a hell of a lot more of that in all gaming communities. The amount of excessive ego in all competitive gaming communities is absolutely destructive.
I never bothered with improving my aim that much but I agree with you on so many levels, I feel like I come across this shit in literally every community, people in general. Not just with improvement, but with anything you do in general. People keep asking why I’m a perfectionist, I turned into one because of those exact people who either ignore or literally bully you if you’re not good enough or you use your own methods for success/improvement. It’s genuinely so frustrating to experience, everyone’s always like “bro they’re garbage” so??? That’s like saying children can’t argue with adults solely because they’re children.
I joined one of the big aimer groups and the very first question I asked my first reply I got was: "The faster you realize you're garbage, the faster you'll start to improve. You have to knock down that ego first." I was VT Gold with some Plat scores at the time Like thanks Mr. DMT aim Wizard that's def gonna help me with understanding what I'm doing wrong
@tealwillow343 seems like you just have an ego issue, since you had so much of an ego that you failed to realize that there is room for improvement like most people did and then wrote that wall of text to stroke your ego.
lets chill out in this comment section before things get heated between the two of you just always think about how you can improve your aim and work on that one thing for a week or 2
@tealwillow343 The whole reason for my original comment was that being a low VT rank asking a simple question I got an answer that had nothing to do with what I was asking. I knew I wasn't good I had just swapped to Mnk from controller, that's why I'm in a niche community asking for advise. Who asks for advice, egotistical person who thinks they're already the best, or someone trying to figure out what they're doing wrong? Inherently he didn't answer my question in any way that was helpful considering I was doing the VT fundamental routines and was just trying to find a new playlist for something different. Solid advise for someone else but not prevalent advice to me at all.
As long as whatever you're doing is fun and comfortable you're gonna have a good foundation to improve your skills on There is a guy that literally just grinded the benchmarks because that's what was most fun to him and he hit celestial
@@phamlequaghieus6885Be nice. He probably forgot their name in the example, but you can check out some people in voltaic and ask about it it’s definitely possible. In riddbtw’s dynamic tracking vid, he says a guy got really good aim just by playing dynamic scenarios
I’ve learned recently the best coaches that teach anything can find the exact best practices for their students. Not what’s considered the best or from someone that improved the fastest.
I have some friends who were new into the game that i got to know of from my low level alt acc that i made so i can bum around the game with and most of the time if they're interested and want me to teach them i always emphasise that what i teach them is what works for me and that they dont have to do practice like i did, and always told them to use what i taught as their own baseline PS: btw holy shit coach you work out too? You look great!
Just to clarify for those that don’t understand: the words I used in the thumbnail are not what I am saying, they are what I’ve heard others say in this community. Anyways I love all of you and I hope you enjoyed the video!
i am playing aim trainers because they are fun. sure benches are important, but there are many more scenarios that are more applicable for ingame improvement. i also use aim trainers to get used to new gear quicker. got to masters complete in s2 on glass and it took me months. s3 took me about 2 weeks on cloth. so there is definitely improvement, just not very fast. i had and still have so many bad habits i have to work on, which were ingrained in my technique that it just took much longer than let's say learn everything from scratch with a more structured method. unlearning things is very hard and i can understand when people say it doesn't help, when they get constantly bombarded with "i played aimtrainers for 1 month" videos. when i started after one month i still had no clue about which scenarios would help me personally. i was just playing whatever seemed fun and i think that mindset kept me going through plateaus, simply because i didn't quit. and i can attest to bringing 180 static on glass is quite hard(at least it was for me). i just played other scenarios when i got too frustrated. that kept me from quitting it all together. now, i don't even care that much about these benchmarks anymore and just pick a few scenarios i like to play that i think i could improve upon. if i get stuck i train a sub skill that can be used in one of these scenarios. i can't bring myself to play the same playlist over and over again and not having fun at all.
Wonderful video, kinda off topic: started aim training 4 days ago after seeing your other yap sessions. What aimlabs maps would you recommend for Valorant aim. (I currently have a sens range of 0.12 to 0.22 1600dpi.) Thank you for sharing your knowledge

6:38 Oh that brings it all together. It’s the entitled guy that feels like he gets to be a TH-camr and starts click baiting and sells ridiculously priced courses. Seen this before!
Teachers don’t charge 5k per student. University is largely considered a scam / bad investment. PTs are usually poor because someone telling you to diet and lift doesn’t do it for you. Most of the time the answers are pretty simple. Do the work. Very rarely is someone holding the secret answer to training worth paying them for.
5:19 The Validity here depends entirely on what was said. There are some things that signal debate is lost on them. Not everyone is equally valid, you don’t go start a debate with a tweaked out crackhead.
Why are you surprised people arent interested in videos of someone who isnt high rank? The only way to confirm that your method works is your scores I dont see any reasons to spend time on someone who didnt confirm effectiveness of their method with their own results
I believe that there is something to learn from everyone. Not just people at the highest ranks and having high ranks doesn't always mean you're better than someone or know something they don't. It may just mean you haven't spent the same amount of time or some people are just naturally gifted so they are often the worst teachers.
@@Coach_Shotty yes, someone might have good theory even if he isnt high ranked, but before teaching someone he should prove it by actually getting high rank
I actually faced the opposite issue. People were too willing to give surface level advice and tell people they've made it once they hit jade - master. I'd rather be told I'm bad at something than have someone suck me off. Only when a vt plat actually told me my issue in static I broke my highscore. And the VT Kovaaks scenarios are horrible, luck based, and require prediction. The highscore on VT air advanced bot 1 is 62% accuracy. The highscore required to get gm is 70% accuracy.
