In second loop +ve is towards that side of 9 ohm resistor on which side you indicated as -ve. Why? Whereas initially you said assign that sign to resistor with which its connected to battery or potential.

There is a mistake in the solution.. At Mesh 2 When we took 6 on the other side of the equality its sign changer for + to - But haven't changed the signs..

if two battery are connecting in a same direction then high voltage battery are taken in overall circuit
