I had the M3001 and 3004 mounted in the console in the factory amp location in my 2005 Sequoia. I have the 3004 sitting in the box in the garage ready for it's next install. They are/were great amps. Nice to see the update.
I'm currently in the market for an amp for my boat, so thanks for the video! I think the JVC version definitely looks nicer with the red accents, but in my situation you wouldn't see either of them because they would be tucked up inside the console.
Install a Kenwood mini kac3004 in my Harley great power and very reliable, there’s allot of talk about other brands but Kenwood is on the top of their game
Forgive my limited experience if you want to run the amp as 2 channels bridged, do you put the amp on 2 or 4 channels? I have the speakers wired as the instructions (channel 1 + with channel 2 - and channel 3 + with channel 4 -) under 2 channel mode but the sound quality doesn't sound like 100 watts rms per channel. It sounds like it's at 50 watts rms.
I am confused. Are these 2 channel or 4 channel amps? Looks like only 2 channel test. What is the 4 channel dyno results? What are the inputs for the non BT version. I was considering put one of these under the dash in my truck to drive the new speakers. Not much info on them out there.
Really nice review, now where can I buy one? Crutchfield is pre order. and with the world the way it is now, who knows when it would arrive. I had the Kac-1824bt in my yamaha v star 1300 deluxe and it worked great and paired up quick with my Sony DAP nw series. This M5024BT looks even better and I have a Victory Kingpin with a wide open custom fairing that is in dire need of upgrading from the underpowered Jvc system in it that will not pair to my Sony DAP. If 5 Star Car Stereo has these in stock I would order immediately. Chuck
Is the BT Bluetooth input only? I have a classic car and I’m looking for an amp like this that can take speaker levels input from the cars original head unit, but then be switched to Bluetooth also….
Could I connect this to a vehicles speaker wires and say use this when I don't want to use the radio and vice versa? More like a bypass when not using the radio?
I just hook this up on my motorcycle. Everything works great but I cannot turn it off. I actually have to remove the positive to get it to turn off, so does that mean I have to add a kill switch to power it on and off? I’d really appreciate some input on this. Thank you in advance.
So I really do like this amp Super simple to hook up really easy to wire. You do need to add an on off switch. The controller is great especially with gloves on this is a high output amp so it can power up to four speakers I have 2 6x9s in my saddlebags, and 2 ,5 inch pods on my handlebars and they sound amazing extremely loud highly recommend it!
It comes with a switch power wire that you connect to a wire that only turns on for switch power when you turn the bike on, like a headlight or switch power accessory wire. Then turns itself off when you turn the bike off. You shouldn't have needed to add any type of power switch
Fader on an amp 🤔 How cool would it be if the fader acted as a "power shifter" making the 50X4 continuously variable. ie: 60X2 & 40X2 or any other desired level.
Shouldn't. The non-bt 5014 manual shows 4 rca inputs, no outputs. And the 5042bt is the one in the video, with 2 rca outs, no inputs. Should be especially great in a convertible, say under a seat.
Bought the M5014 non bluetooth model to use on my side by side. I dont know which speakers to get yet. What wattage speaker should i be looking for? I would like some rockville or ds-18 wake tower speakers if possible. Any suggestions?
how do you bridge this amp for 2 speakers? which wires to use on left and right positive and negative. also when bridged. is it set for 2 channel or 4.
I have never been impressed with the factory’09 Kawasaki 1700 Voyager audio even with the added rear speakers. As the original owner and purchased new in 2010 I’ve been reading reviews and watching lots of videos and I have been a big fan of Kenwood equipment, so I am leaning towards the KAC 5024BT. Speaker upgrade is not yet determined.
if you haven't already done this, Engineered Adapters (google it) makes 6.5" speaker adapters for the fairing and a couple other speaker adapters for other locations on the bike as well. I ran them on my Vaquero. System was super loud running 4 speakers at 50 rms on a different amp.
5014 is running 250$, and the 5042BT is 350$ If you're ok connecting a phone/tablet to these, the 5042bt wouldn't be a bad way to do a 'headunit-less' install. Especially today, when a 300$+ headunit is a sloth, might give you 20w rms, and MIGHT be 720p. Omg, 720p. So high def. I guess calling could be tricky. No mic on the remote.

Today I was at the community meeting of rennwelten on the airfield of Mendig and could drive on the race track with my 3000 GT what a fun
Geez. These amps are pretty awesome. Very good performance, well made.

Great video Dean. Where you find the time is beyond me!

Loving the dyno with realistic voltage. good work dean. 👍👍👍🤜🤛
Very nice little amp and an excellent breakdown of it

Great reviews I wish I could hear it in person

How many amps does the unit draw after disconnecting your bluetooth device and after 5 minutes when it goes into a low power idle state?
Awesome video!
What's the output in 3 channel mode? 50Wx2 and 100Wx1, how does that work?

Would you mind if you test the mono amp to test on subwoofer please?

How do you like the amp? Does it sound good or is it hard to really drive the speakers and retain quality sound?

VPA-Variable Power Actuator
Any issues using this for a small vehicle 2.1 setup with a traditional headunit if using the non BT version ?
Shouldn't. The non-bt 5014 manual shows 4 rca inputs, no outputs. And the 5042bt is the one in the video, with 2 rca outs, no inputs.

Based on this vid, speakers capable of 100 rms minimum.
Whats good amp for 6.5 arnolds and some tweeters

i want to know this as well
Yeeeeeeeew 🤙🤙🤙🤙 go Kenwood!!!!!!!💪💪💪💥💥

The talking hand strikes again!
you have same music intro as tring shoe repair and key shop guy

Can you adjust eq and does it have a phone app
Fixed eq no app
