  • Tony and the Team climb a remote Herefordshire hill to investigate one of the biggest prehistoric sites ever featured on Time Team. Was Dinmore Hill the site of a vast Iron Age hill fort?

As a teenage high school boy we lived in the gatehouse at the entrance to the Dinmore Manor (Middle Ages) grounds at the south end of the hill.We spent a lot of time hiking and playing in the woods and collecting ‘chips’ (wedges of wood chopped when felling trees) on Dinmore

Phil is quite a character, if only his hat could talk...it would probably scream for help!🤣

Dr. Francis is just too cool! No matter what, he keeps his enthusiasm!

Just love the running gag about Phil not getting anything technical and disliking it so much, and so knowing so much about the old fashioned way of doing things.

I discovered this series by a wonderful accident! Am a yank, but i LOVE this stuff! Have downloaded all 20 yrs. And all the specials, and History Hunters. Will watch and watch and watch! Over and over! RIP Mick! I miss Carenza! I love Helen, have a crush on Phil (despite his hat and sideburns) AND Matt! I adore mild mannered Stewart and Victor, Tony and John are ok too. America doesn't hold a candle to this. Ok we have dinosaurs!

I love the way they said "and an old ditch" in the intro and then immediately focused on Francis.🤣

These shows are so great, interesting and educational. To bad it all had to end. There should be a new generation of archaeologists take the helm and continue on with this show. This stuff is good for all generations of wannabe archaeologists. I think Matt is young enough to take the helm.

You could have a cracking drinking game with Phil's use of the word 'crucial.' ;)

Quite pleased that for once, Francis was correct and Stuart wrong. Usually the other way round

Francis is investigating "an intriguing mound." I swear, there is a goldmine of innuendo soundbites on this show.

I came upon this show WAY TOO LATE But not too late to appreciate it! After all, only about a 1/4 % of my ancestry came through Britain, but I'm 100% engaged and 100 % sure that my ancestors took a u-turn around, went through Italy, Sweden, Norway, France, Germany and all those countries that have awesome food, then ended up in the old fucked up USA!

I find these crisply-dug ditches very satisfying.

"Now he's got something in the woods and he's keen to show it to Bethany. We've heard that one before." ROFL Oh Tony!
