In 36 years on this planet I have never found a song that I can completely relate to it's always just bits and pieces, but this song is the only one that is 100% me. When he says "What if the night sky was missing the moon" to me it's like Im so broken that I feel like something as crucial as the moon is missing. I've been clean and sober for many years but I always miss the peace drugs gave me even though I knew full well it was just an illusion. Chemical, false peace is better than real hell. I've had complex PTSD since I was a child (didn't know it until my 30's) I've been through all kinds of therapy that helped me not NEED those things but I don't know if the desire will ever go away. You just get so damn tired of trying so fkn hard just be keep getting knocked down again and again. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other until something changes or my time is up I suppose. Thank you for doing this reaction.
