I’ve lived in many countries and blacks in general are looked down on in many parts of the world. I’m in Malaysia right now, and it’s no different here, I was born in London, same. Maybe the best place for Africans is just Africa. Make Africa great, and stay there because it’s tough for Africans all over the world. Dubai is highly overrated and I wouldn’t recommend it for Africans who want to go and work there in these menial jobs. I ran several online businesses and have provided Africans with high level jobs and excellent accommodation and I continue to do that in Dubai and other parts of the UAE. My goal is to provide great opportunities for Africans in the UAE as some Africans just want to leave Africa and seek greener pastures. The truth is, they look down on Indians, Bangladesh as well, not just Africans, and it’s same in many parts of the world. It’s sad, but maybe it’s a wake up call for Africans to pull together and build Africa into a greater place to be so people don’t want to leave.

Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.
Investing in alternate income streams should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment.
Am looking for something to venture into on a short term basis, I really need to create an alternate source of income, what do you think I should be buying?

Thank you so much for this informative post. I was in the UAE this past Summer and i almost got fined as a tourist for sitting on the side of the women on the monorail in the Palm-Jumeirah monorail, but the guide at the station gave us a pass because we were tourist and genuinely didn't know. It does however make sense that all the things you mention are probably obvious because Dubai is very much a tourist destination instead of a place for settling and making a home out of it.

I live here in Dubai and yes, your points are valid, but I am an American. My advantage is a different perspective. Americans and European countries are use to the cost of living. So it is as normal to see those prices of living. An American's education and experience would be different than a person from Africa, so again our experience would be different. One last thing, the rent/cost of living crisis in LA isn’t notorious because it’s an achievable rate for the very people in Cali 🤣, and this further exacerbated when compared to the rental markets throughout the US. Lol... You had better not move to California if you think that UAE is expensive. Here in LA, we have studio apartments that go for four thousand usd (14,000 aed) or more per month. Also, most people believe that you can not live in Dubai without a car but I found that I got around just fine without however, there is absolutely no way that this is possible here in Los Angeles. Ultimately, people should prepare and be informed before they move anywhere.
But atleast minimum wage in LA will be around 20$ per hr. Minimum wage in Dubai can go as low as 250$ per month. That is a 2 days equivalent salary for a minimum wage worker in LA
Madam, nice content though, but guess there's a slight contradiction somewhere. If Dubai happens not to be a country and it's part of the UAE as an Emirate, how then does it still become the "safest country " in the world ? or it might be a slip of the teleprompter ? Anyway .. keep it coming .
That would be so great not to get taxed on our salaries we would all have a great lifestyle so other countries should take note. It's not always about taking from the people can still have a great life like Dubai taxing or charging for unnecessary things from the people.

House sitting b4 moving there to get a feel of the city might work as well. Also, house 🏡 sitting can cut ur cost until u actually move there. Ijs I didn’t hear anything negative thus far.
Yeah, i was also a bit confused by that. Cld be a clickbait. She mentions Dubai is expensive but then goes ahead en says she lived in a 7000Aed fully furnished apartment en somewhere in the comments she says that was affordable for her. Very misleading!
With these foresights, we Nigerians cant move forward. 1. If the fines aren't steep, lawlessness is due to follow. Already the government provides world-class infrastructure with security for you, its up to you to know how to conduct yourself and obey the rules. 2. Why should you kiss in public? More so as Africans, its not our culture, why do we think kissing in public is a good thing? You've spent hours in your house with your partner, wife, etc, you didn't kiss all that while, its in public where people are expected to be decent, probably with kids, that's now where you wish to kiss? 3. The UAE, Dubai especially, is a fast paced city, built with futuristic concepts in plan, why should you leave Nigeria with no job to become a nuisance to the UAE government? The honest truth is that, we Nigerians love things coming cheap and easy. Any wonder why Nigeria and Africa is the way it is? If we had the best ideas, we wont be leaving our lands in thousands seeking a better life. 4. At this stage in life, if you are swayed by social media post, Ferrari, hand-bangs, etc, then you probably don't deserve to be successful in life! 5. Lastly, leaving your home country to any other country is tough if you don't have a job, or have a plan in place. We have tens of thousands of Nigerians in Europe wallowing in misery, poverty and even destitution because they thought the grass was greener on the other side and just decided to move on a go. I know many Nigerians in UAE living fabulous lives coz they work hard and take advantage of what we wont usually get here in Nigeria. What of our Igbo brothers making a killing from fabric sales between India, Pakistan and Nigeria? These are folks making use of their time the right way. No food for lazy dog! Nigerians must drop these simplistic approach to life and think critically to succeed in life. Thank you!
You actually did not touch any of the point I highlighted. Nigeria being bad does not warrant discrimination against a certain country or region. My advise was that nobody should go without having a job or emergency funds. I live in Europe now but my Business operate in Ghana and Nigeria and UAE was suppose to be my 3rd location outside of Africa. I am proudly one of those that make a killing running a business and would not need to work for 5yrs if I decide to sleep morning till night for the next 5yrs. But with my abundance of resources the discrimination in the UAE made life as a business person unbearable. We can talk about all the bad things about Nigeria and Africa but selective discrimination is bad no matter how u want to frame it.
One thing we can agree on: the racism not just in Dubai but in Arabia as a whole, is disgusting. I’m a Muslim and I’ll gladly tell you that Arabs are the worst racists in the world! But the matter of societal development along with social benefits, we Nigerians need to wake up. If we work for ourselves we won’t need to be trotting around the world. Emirates Airlines started operations with two leased aircrafts from Pakistan, today Pakistanis drive cabs in the UAE. The list goes on and on, Singapore; Malaysia; Qatar; and Vietnam amongst others, building from within and plotting the chart for their future development.
@@abdulazizibrahim1930 You mentioned Emirates starting in Pakistan, to Pakistanis driving cabs in the UAE...what was this example meant to show? Moving backwards? Pakistan is a failed country at this point, crumbling from within and their citizens are going around the world looking for a place to call home. I agree that Nigerians shouldn't have to be trotting around the world, especially offering the best to countries who don't deserve to reap the benefits. More people need to be doing research before moving to a racist paradise and thinking things will be great. Now, not every Black person faces discrimination, but many will.
Why do Nigerians like to speak about THEMSELVES as if you are the only nation that has struggles or has some bad apples? You're your own worst PR machine! You think non Africans aren't in your country causing chaos, stealing, pillaging and committing the worse crimes under your noses? The only difference is, some of them don't get caught AND their people don't like to openly talk about their crimes. Who doesn't love things 'cheap and easy'...Nigeria is not a wealthy country...why would they want things "hard and expensive"? I live in the UK, grew up in Scotland, both places are going through economic hardships, and we all want things cheap and easy!
Tbh it sounds like- just like living in the uk! Driving fines, high rents, cost of living etc - at least you have very hot sunny weather in Dubai, plus it’s much safer

The problem is Dubai is not the only place to live in the UAE, I live in RAK now and honestly, it’s the best decision I’ve made.
YOU NEED TO BE RICH TO LIVE A DECENT LIFE IN UAE.
Totally agree.
No you don’t lol

Everything she is saying is true❤ as for me a Housewife in Dubai married to my hardworking 🇳🇬 man, all I can say is I've got used to saving more than I did back home. 😊
So true! After living in the UK and America! Living in Dubai was interesting; but very expensive! I lived in the business district and it was really expensive. I lost interest quickly! I am light skinned, so I got a lot of compliments! They heavily discriminate against black people! They basically felt, I was American!
Black people has suffered alot😂😂😂😂😂

Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.
You are absolutely right 💯
Investing in alternate income streams should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment.
Am looking for something to venture into on a short term basis, I really need to create an alternate source of income, what do you think I should be buying?
Cryptocurrency/stock investment, but you will need a professional guide on that.

This is one of the best and honest video l have come across on Social Media about one of the most beautiful Arab countries in the world that does have it"s controversial and hidden dark side that most content creators who are immigrants and combined cowards are fearful to touch on the reality of Dubai after living there for certain period of time even after evacuating the Country.
Thank you much 🙏
Thank you so much for this informative post.
The social media aspect is real. So many people have been banned and blocked from returning for social media posts.
As a black man I have no interest to visit or live in any Arab countries.

Just stumbled on your channel. Great video!
Welcome aboard! Thank you 😊
I am black American with mix ancestries. I was a Corporate Multiline Medical Malpractice Insurance Underwriter. I was offered several jobs about 20 yrs ago through a head hunter in Europe who had companies in Dubia that were eager to hire me at substanial salaries. I was advised as a woman professional, I could not wear my arms out and that in meetings, I could not shake hands with the other male counterparts. I hope those things have changed today? Those restrictions were not for me! But to visit, I'm sure it is a beautiful place!
It’s Muslim country so it’s unlikely that those rules would change since it’s an aspect of the religion. It might just not be for you then
Thanks for sharing this you have said it all❤

Engineers are coming in and doing great in ADNOC , NPCC.
There are lots of them in Abu Dhabi with their kids going to school.
So, the experience is different for everyone. Most people don't like winter and they feel the UAE is better for them.

Just worked out exchange rate to UK and honestly these prices sound similar to London. Only London is not as luxurious so better value for money in UAE
😂
Hi, You exactly right she is judging base on her first experience. European countries you will pay high for everything with less luxury like UAE. London is insane for parking charges. in fact some councils are installing more camera to fine vehicle to increase their Fund
Dubai is better than London? You must be an influencer wannabe.

"A lot of things you see on the internet, IS NOT REAL..." 💯💯💯💯❤️
I lived in Dubai and AD for about 3 months back in 2007, when all the buildings you know now were still being built back then - went over their with my international engineering company with some colleagues cos we were building the worlds largest aluminium smelter at that time - after that I was regularly in Dubai as I had loads of friends from all around the world there but 2010, having spoken to my African maid about the stories how they are treated, and then also remembering how to labourers were busy building in the damn heat during the day back in 2007. Also the influx of escorts etc going on - I lost my zest to visit. Since 2010 I stopped going completely, I found it had become a morally degrading city and not up to my standards of people to be around - seems like it just worsened over the years.
It did definitely get worse.
I go there on business but i cant wait to getout everytime i visit.
A souless place
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us 😁
Feeling safe is the biggest draw for me to Dubai...As an ethnic minority I would definitely not feel safe in Germany from what I've seen on social media. London, France.
Are you white then? Because they only persecute whites in the uk.
@@amreenkauser6330 I lived in the uk all my life, moved to Ghana, but I feel safer in Dubai. Ghana is one of the safest countries in Africa but I still got robbed and attacked when I was there. Two friends also got robbed in their homes, another had her phone stolen on the streets. So safety is the biggest draw for me as well.
I live here in Dubai and yes, your points are valid, but I am an American. My advantage is a different perspective. Americans and European countries are use to the cost of living. So it is as normal to see those prices of living. An American's education and experience would be different than a person from Africa, so again our experience would be different. Please do not use this platform to say things about a city that is growing and moving forward to be one of the biggest cities in the world. Take your losses and move on. Germany is going to be a challenge for you as well so best wishes.
@@naamakivi I agree. As a British born African, I’m living a good life in the UAE. The cost of living is normal to me when converted to pounds but it’s tough for Africans to accept because it just feels too overwhelming compared to the cost in Africa.
@@letstalkafricawithabena exactly! The cost of living in Dubai is like Los Angeles, but the food is better quality and as women we are safe. Africans assumed that they were going to get the same prices as if they were home. Now these ladies are in Germany and the wake up is real. They are going to realize any European country such as UK, USA, Germany's cost of living is high. I wish them the best, I just feel that saying negative things about a city based on your perspective is not a good look. As my grandmother use to say," never burn a bridge that you may have to cross over one day."
There is as much room for her perspective as you insist on yours. I’m just uncertain why you’re in such a huff over her African POV over your American POV. Your position takes no more precedence- perhaps find the thousands of videos that espouse your views, I trust the UAE spares no expense on their promotional content.
One last thing, the rent/cost of living crisis in LA isn’t notorious because it’s an achievable rate for the very people in Cali 🤣, and this further exacerbated when compared to the rental markets throughout the US. A cursory glance on the internet would let you know this. Same goes for the rent/cost of living crisis in the UK, so again, not sure what you’re on about.

$2,000 with bills included is reasonable . Here you would not be so lucky: no bills included.

Fines, just as in the West are equally expensive and harsh. They are meant to be a deterrent
My sister. Thanks for the information.
Abu Dhabi seems to be better
Seems you were a high earner with 7k rent probably close to your work. That's about 84k per annum
You will get a very comfortable 2BK in a villa in Abu Dhabi for less depending on the area
“I was earning over 100k+ AED monthly, so money was never the issue. What troubled me was the way Africans, especially Nigerians, were treated-with little to no respect. In that environment, your worth seemed tied solely to your financial status, and that didn’t sit well with me.”
@@Anniyonu but what if you could get an Emirati passport would you have changed your mind?
@@Anniyonu if you earn this much with your Nigerian passport then the system was nice to you as a NIGERIAN at least to a large extent. There may hitches here and there but that's pretty much a good off if I must say.
Glad you are where you love.

“I was able to earn this much due to my business outside the UAE. I moved to the UAE with the intention of registering my business and opening a branch there, but I faced significant obstacles due to restrictive policies against Africans, particularly Nigerians. Despite having the financial means, I encountered considerable challenges.”
As important as it is to find a job, please do not pay to get a job or your own visa, or give your passport to anyone claiming they hold your passport for work. Make sure you sign a contract and keep a copy of your contract, make sure you learn your employee and customer rights UAE has a lot of laws and often it protects everyone especially you as an employee and consumer... but it is your responsibility to research learn and then report to the correct authorities... remember, law doesn't protect ignorance I didn't know or I was scared to lose my job is not an excuse in court. Protect your self and others by doing the right thing
Excellent video!

Madam, nice content though, but guess there's a slight contradiction somewhere. If Dubai happens not to be a country and it's part of the UAE as an Emirate, how then does it still become the "safest country " in the world ? or it might be a slip of the teleprompter ? Anyway .. keep it coming .
It was an error* & we both know you know that.

Am I, missing something. U said why u should not move to Dubai. If u can’t afford to live in Dubai, there r so many other places to live that might be more affordable. Living beyond or outside ur means can be risky. Ijs
I’m not a fan of Dubai, however, if I chose to live there or anywhere I’d take in consideration the cost 💲 b4 moving there.
House sitting b4 moving there to get a feel of the city might work as well.
Also, house 🏡 sitting can cut ur cost until u actually move there. Ijs
I didn’t hear anything negative thus far.
Yeah, i was also a bit confused by that. Cld be a clickbait.
She mentions Dubai is expensive but then goes ahead en says she lived in a 7000Aed fully furnished apartment en somewhere in the comments she says that was affordable for her.
Very misleading!
Already moved from Canada to Abu Dhabi and it’s the beta decision.
Great! I thought so too when I first moved there, just give it time❤️
Thanks a lot 🙏
How much American money is enough to live well for 6 months??
Tbh it sounds like- just like living in the uk! Driving fines, high rents, cost of living etc - at least you have very hot sunny weather in Dubai, plus it’s much safer
You did not say why you don't want the Africans to move there in 2025...??
All the things she mentioned, is it not enough for Africans not to go there? All she mentioned are the reasons. Did you listen to her??????????????
Facts 💯
She could have said this about the whole middle east as far how it relates to African people
People.need safety to live in because, it's a priority to human life
Housing in Dubai is still cheaper than where I live in Virginia USA! You said $2K for a 2 bedroom? My 1 bedroom costs $2250!
Min wage where u leave is maybe 20$/hr.
Min wage in Dubai is 250$/month
And lots of low income workers earn this amount per month
@@chibuzopaul517 Yep everything is relative based on earnings. $1K a month for a 1 bedroom (assuming that price based on $2K for a 2 BR) is very cheap by some standards. People around the world are looking at these videos, and comparing the figures to those in their area.
Thank you for sharing, I have visited Dubai and loved it. However, the stories of Africans who have lived there are concerning, it seems the expats that are enjoying living in Dubai the most are non-Africans
Not all. Speak to wealthy Africans and they have a different experience. Nigerians in particular have been in Dubai for decades selling gold and jewellery.
I'm an AA woman and I visited Dubai for a week in 2019. I was not impressed. All the glitch and glam and considering the controversy behind it wasn't for me. And the men kept calling me and my friends "KeKe". When we went to thr Markey they grabbed us, pulling us in their stalls. I thought they were not supposed to touch women.
I’m from the uk and I wouldn’t visit let alone move to any Middle Eastern country.
Good job

Who would come to dubai if they already have a six month emergency fund??!, i think this video is meant for those with white collar jobs, u can easily manage dubai if you live by your means, always dont have a budget which takes more than half of your salary!, you are talking about renting an apartment of 7000aed!, that means your salary was like 50k!, for the low income earners we are managing well 😊,
Anyways thanks for the video, UAE should just be a stepping stone, for someone to move ahead!!!
This applies to everywhere you go potentially, not just Dubai!

Every city has , good, bad and ugly . You dont have to tell people dont move to Dubai or another country let the people visit and make their own decision. just because you have bad experience does not mean every one will have same.
I believe there should be freedom of expression in our shared experiences.
As we share our knowledge and experiences we make the society better and how will the govt of different countries fix a broken part of the system if people don’t speak up. I said I don’t recommend Dubai for people from developing countries who are poor and looking for better opportunities
For Arab countries, it is definitely the ugly.
Dubai is a place where you follow the rules and you will be fine, it's sounds like you don't do that. It's a lovely place, I'm in and out all of the time. I love it, you seem to not like that you can't get away with crap. Girl bye
I love it too when am in and out.
But if you listen to her she said its a nice place to go in out out and not make it a permanent home.
And i totally agree with her.
All my colleagues who work in our Dubai office and have lived there for the last 10yrs wants to leave.
I go to Dubai 3x a year and spend 2weeks to 4 weeks each time and its nice but the first time i went and spent about 4 straight months i realized everything she said in this video was true
She never said she didn't want to follow the rules. God yall are so slow in the comments. 😂
All of her issues with Dubai are with the rules, be gone already
7,000 for a 2 bed? Must have been in Deira. I've lived in the UAE 20 years now. I understand that Nigerians and other African Nations (and Syria, and other ME countries), aren't allowing many of those nations visas now. Was this the reason you left?
You can get a UAE passport - if you marry an Emirati..... You don't go to jail for kissing, that's absolutly false. Alcohol licence is for Dubai Emirate only, not for any other Emirate.
How is it in Germany do you think that you will be there for some time or are you just passing through?
Living here for me, is way easier, it has been home for the past 6 years for My husband & I. The opportunities here are endless, especially if you are Educated, well schooled etc. the only challenge is language barrier, but it’s easy to navigate. As long as you have the necessary documents etc you are good, you can find a job, the compensation is better than what you make in Dubai, even as an Uber rider here.

Not expensive compared to Dubai.
Housing cost is relatively cheap and no redicolous fines 😅
So tell me, why are yo many people leaving Germany? Germany has very high taxes, food is getting more and more expensive....many people are very poor in Germany and criminality is getting extremely high! Also many parts of industry are leaving Germany, because Germany will be much worse in the following years. You should not hide this from the people here!
@ This video is about Dubai, Germany does not have different labour laws for different people, low income workers do not get their passport seized by dubious employers and treated like criminals.
It is a society that gives equal opportunities to everyone as long as you are qualified irrespective of background.
The economy not thriving as much as it used to is a totally different topic to the topics discussed on this video which is related to high level of discrimination for people of certain skin color or citizenship.
@@Anniyonu You forget one thing: People who don't perform well or don't have qualifications are not welcome in Dubai but also not in other well organized countries. It's like in any country where you have to achieve something. You can even enter Germany without a valid passport and you'll even get money for it from the state, because Germany has a catastrophic political situation now. But there are also a lot of criminals in Germany. There is almost no crime in Dubai. But I can see that you would rather rest in Germany, according to your argument. But that won't work for much longer, count on it. 👍
@ Rest in Germany ??, I and my husband can live in any country in the world we want to. I never searched for a job in Dubai for 1 day neither did my husband. We are not planning to stay in Germany either, I moved to Dubai to set up a branch of my business which is already operational in 3 different countries and Dubai dint work for me even with all my resources. I am now setting up my business in Europe after so many years of refusing to move to Europe although my husband advised against Dubai due to discriminatory policies.
