Ch. 4: All About Dye

  • For my next set of weavings I decided to do some warp painting: and here is the process! I don't know why, but dye work has always exhausted me, so I took a break before getting on loom, which should happen next week. I am very excited to see this series progress. I will be posting a video on the weaving of this warp soon (within the month?) so subscribe to see how this continues!

    Thank you so much for sharing, I have never seen anyone dye there warp like that before. it is really going to help me a lot with my weaving. What a blessing.

    That was so cool to see the sketchbook ideas and the dye samples! And then watching you dye everything accordingly

    I came back to watch this again, the painted warp looks so lovely.
    when i am done with the diamonds, i will try my luck with a cornish coast colours inspired painted warp.
    so there will be all kinds of blue for sky and sea and some really bright yellow for lichen and greens and some dark grey for the grass and the rocks. In my head it looks good.
