Hello, Mary Kate, I do see what you said about dressing a loom being like yoga, but i really have to be in right mindset to do it. So, with the warp you have there, as i am right now, i would be completely overwelmed. All the more do I enjoy watching you dressing the loom in these gorgeous colours. Maybe one day I find the inner calm place to begin such a challenge. The result is so lovely, it is always worth the effort. Thank you for letting me sit and enjoy your craft. All the best, Su
I'm glad you enjoyed watching! I agree sometimes you have to be in a right mindset. It wasn't always so peaceful when I was doing it as a homework assignment 😅
That’s honestly the best practical showing I’ve seen on how to warp a loom! I have a similar one that I haven’t set up yet as I was unsure how! I just need to get (or make) a warping mill and decide what I want to weave! Thanks for sharing your method!
I'm glad this was helpful! Getting started can be pretty confusing for sure. If you're interested, I follow the Curly-n-Yarny channel, and she talks about her rigid heddle loom quite a bit including some warping and a bunch of project ideas. I'm just getting started so I don't have many resources to offer (though I'm happy to answer questions), but that channel is awesome and I think she's so sweet.
Thanks, I am a new loomer or weavest. I am still determining what someone who uses a loom to waive should be called, but your video was very nice. Thanks again. Best rrm
Thank you! Sometimes we gotta make do with what we have, yeah? I did dye the warp using reactive dye; I talk about the process in the video just before this, if you want to check out what that looked like :)
May God bless you, your life and your work you have helped me so much and I just want to say thank you
I just stumbled across this and I realized I never responded (so sorry!). I'm glad this was helpful, may God bless you and yours as well

idk why I'm so shocked the comb works to separate the yarn without catching on each fiber within each strand, but that was so satisfying.
Lol I feel you, you just have to use a wide toothed comb
Awesome work! 🎉
Thank you!
Desde hoy te veo ,gracias 🙏

Thank you! I usually go with weaver, but I like the ring of loomer too 😊
Very intriguing...using a men’s hair comb to straighten out the warp. I love the colors in the warp. Did you dye that yourself?
