  • Welcome back to another video! I sent some cards to CGC to see how their new Yugioh grading service is, and this was the result. Do leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed!

    Incredibly late to this video but really appreciate the review here. You have some awesome error cards and I wanted to send some in myself, but glad i'm aware of some of the issues.

    That is super disappointing. The sleeve thing alone upsets me

    Very sad that they have poor customer support/communication. That should be the bare minimum for any third party grading company

      It's disappointing for sure. I don't think they're necessarily bad for all aspects of communication, but when it comes to admitting mistakes it feels like they prefer to just ignore them and pretend they're not happening

    Good video man! Love the glossy dark magician. An 8 for the gaia is really high with such a dent. Lately I see more cgc cards for sale but never knew how good they are. Overall, I think they are not bad but the inconsistency is troublesome.

      Thanks man! From what I hear I'm not sure if they're even that inconsistent. I think the standards they use are just lower than BGS/PSA. A CGC 10 is clearly easier than a BGS 10, and many CGC 9.5s from what I hear are more or less just decent PSA 9 quality. I don't have that much experience but that's what I understand from other people I've spoken to and it's true of this sub too

    How does 8.5/8.5/10/10 average out to an 8.5 grade? 🤔

    • @Schloast

      I think they use a similar algorithm to BGS, meaning a card can't end up with two different subgrades below the overall grade. So if a card has two 8.5 subs, 8.5 is automatically the highest possible grade regardless of the other subs. I think you could even have a card with 1,1,10,10 subs and it would work out as a 1 overall

    Hey schloast, can you please do a video on the "manipulated" 1st edition cards? Where reprints get taken and stamped with 1st Edition and the golden anubis eye? thanks

      Hi there! I have posted some info about these on IG before, I don't own any examples though so I wouldn't be able to make much of a video on them. I wouldn't have anything to show

    Does error cards have a premium because of the scarcity. Or just fun to collect!

    • @Schloast
      @Schloast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They can command a huge premium! But it depends a lot on what the error is. In general foil shifts or wrong foil errors tend to be among the most expensive, those can be thousands of dollars on a card which is normally just a few bucks. But minor errors can add little to no value at all
