All the younger fans here, Foyt was not mentioned much. Check out all he accomplished. Not only could he drive, he could fix what he drove. He would drive sprint cars the night before the Indy 500, and walk across the street the next day and win at Indy. The old fair grounds track was across the street from the speedway. AJ could drive anything, any time and win.

Foyt>Andretti. Foyt could run with the top NASCAR guys. I even think he would have won the 1972 championship if he had been more committed. Mario just lucked out in F1 (Lotus was far ahead that year) and didn't really do NASCAR, and he never won Le Mans. Foyt won Lemans in his only outing there. Plus, of course, AJ was more successful in Indycars. I wish he got into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. To me, Foyt is #1 in US motorsports.

Gonna be really cool to see how Larson performs at Indy. Also it would be cool now that Chevy, Corvette Racing, and Pratt & Miller making a GT3 spec Corvette C8 and allowing for customer teams in every series running GT3s like IMSA, GTWC, NLS, now WEC, and hell even DTM at some point and running races like Daytona, Sebring, Spa, Nurburgring, and now Le Mans it would be pretty cool to see a Hendrick Motorsports Corvette Z06 GT3 in at least IMSA. Even if it’s just one entry. Could even for Daytona run a second entry and possibly could be an all NASCAR driver lineup from either all Hendrick drivers or all Chevy drivers. Like imagine a second car entry for the Rolex 24 with driver lineup like Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, and Zane Smith, for example.

The Garage 56 thing was far and away most valuable as a skill builder for great team members. Every one of them who contributed to that success should be rewarded throughout their careers with the best opportunities because they demonstrated they were worthy of them. HMS is smart to build upon those kinds of differentiators as the sport evolves and gets more and more competitive.

The big surprise to me is that Penske has managed to keep Newgarden in IndyCars, with his ability on ovals its hard to see him not having success in NASCAR and there is no question the money in the drivers market in Nascar is bigger than IndyCar right now and has been since the late 80's.

Now he's finishing, outside the pidium spots, in a lower tier series...
      Whoops!

Jacky Ickx, Derek Bell, Tom Kristensen. 9-time 🏆 winner at 24 Hours Le Mans ! Been watching motorsports for 40 years. I drove through fog in Bakersfield to get to Riverside nascar race photos of Richard Petty. 1984 ! Get Real, two disciplines don't make you the best.

@@codymoe4986 anyone of those three are more talented than ALL of NASCAR. Let's see a 👋current stock car driver do the 600 mile race then fly to Indianapolis 500, like past professional drivers have done!

Larson isn’t the best. Mario won in Indy, sprint, sports cars, F1 and Nascar. Foyt and Gurney are right behind. If he wins Indy, he moves way up.

RACE CARS ARE WAY MORE TECHNICAL NOW DAYS THAT THE AJ / MARIO ERA … SO COMPARING LARSON TO THOSE DAYS YOU WOULD HAVE TO STICK WITH DIRT RACING AND LARSON IS MAYBE THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IMO…

    • @Naoj2024
      @Naoj2024 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

YEAH , Mario won Indy one time so that is not a way to determine a drivers skill . Now Foyt won 4 times , AL Unser 4 times .. i know both those guys each won a couple of Indy 500’s being in the right place at the right time .. some people think they are above and beyond when it come to picking talent.. i remember when Jeff Gordon came over from dirt racing to nascar and so - so many people said he would fail and i said he would be a star and i was right ! AND SAME WITH JIMMIE JOHNSON AND OTHERS .. I HAVENT MISSED YET AND LARSON IS ONE OF THE BEST OF OUR TIMES RIGHT NOW.. 🏁🏁🇺🇸🏳️

Larson is a talented driver but no nascrap driver will out perform an F1 driver like Lewis Hamilton or Micheal Schumacher

How many F1 drivers are winning in other disciplines, other series, during the F1 season?
Pretty sure the answer is zero. Doesn't really matter, regardless.
Most F1 drivers, lack the courage to tackle the big ovals. Not that I blame them, takes a lot of courage.
      They just don't have it...

I don't know why he wants to race Indy cars because they are so unforgiving. One false move in your life is over. I've seen it too many times.

The Indycars are much safer than you think. Guys experience “one false move” every year and their lives aren’t over. This isn’t 1940.
