So painful to watch! But forward passes are rarely penalized unless they are too obvious. Seems a little unfair to call for TMO only on some.
The Springbok supporters were so nice! Even they were applauding the Samoa try.

Barnes gets a forward pass. That's new. He missed a big one in 2007 which cost the ABs dearly and then one in the final (favouring the ABs where Barnes was linesman and Ownes asked if it was OK) which led to a Carter penalty moments later.

Imhoff against Namibia, as someone said before, is missing here. That was a brilliant play but it got disallowed because of a forward pass.
Coming back to this video, I find it hilarious that some people here in the comments section don't realize what the title of the video is saying in terms of tries "almost" scored.

There would be a greater selection of seeing a whole stack of tries that were allowed, which shouldn’t have been.
I think we’d find that New Zealand would feature quite a bit. Their ‘flat’ passes seem to have quite a fair degree of tolerance in a lot of referees reading of the game.
What about nonu's against France that would've of been amazing

Un poco tarde pero bueno. Los dos anulados por lo mismo: los jugadores fuera de cancha al tener contacto con la pelota. Tocar la línea es considerado estar fuera (el 1er caso). El último es más evidente ya que al agarrar la pelota luego del rebote, su pie aún esta pisando fuera de cancha 👋

The Canadian one annoys me. The officials talk about him leaning forward when he catches it however if they just looked at the lines on the grass and the different shades of green then they would clearly see it went forward. Luckily they said it went forward anyway but there have been games I've seen where it clearly goes forward from these lines but the officials do not look at it

Matawalu's try should have been disallowed because the Fijian 6 obstructed Tom Wood all the way back at the scrum. Should have been a penalty to England and shame on the touch judge for not seeing it.
I think that's why the title of the video says it all

Time to take that 4inch log off you shoulder, it used to be such a little chip, look how its grown.
Added to this should be both NZ tries in the RWC Semi's against SA. Both NZ tries were "scored" from forward passes. Bad refereeing. SA won that game fair and square.
I sense Butt hurt.
I'm not. I'm happy that SA scored more legal points in the Semis. That makes them the better team. We will beat NZ any day, just give us a ref can spot a forward pass. enjoy your false victory.

Ekhm, how can you say you'll beat NZ "any day" when you couldn't beat Japan? hahaha
Remember idiot that if the NZ tries were disallowed the play would have resumed with a scrum, not restart from the halfway, the game would have flown differently. If you disallow a try, you have to erase all points scored by both teams after that try and imagine another game. In which NZ would have probably scored more points anyway or at least you can't tell SA would.
