It’s so awkward shooting a review video like this. Never know if I showed too much or too little haha. Plus lighting and filming is not as easy as one would think.

Also, i guess since i bought a table saw now, I'll throw my name in the hat for the miter gauge! Mine is a little loose in the slot. It was the only downfall of the dewalt 8 1/4 saw.

My table saw has been in my Pop’s storage unit in NC for nearly a decade, since my divorce. The last few years, his memory had declined terribly, and paranoia set in. Now that I’ve settled in Seattle, I’ve got a place to put it, but it just wasn’t worth estranging my father to get my shop tools. He passed a few weeks ago, so I’ll be renting a truck soon to bring them out, a Pop-in-a-Box Road Trip with my son, if you will. One thing I’m lacking is a good miter gauge. I always meant to get something better than the stock gauge, but for whatever reason, never got around to it.

  • @crossgrainwoodproductsltd9230

Wow, incredible saw! I have drooled over this before when Stubbenubs reviewed his. It is a shame though, that you have to spend thousands of dollars to get the quality this table saw has when 80 years ago it was the only way they were built. Like Harvey, quality mattered to those manufacturers from years ago. This is heirloom quality. A saw that can stay in the family for generations to come. Well, in my dreams I can have this saw, lol. In the meantime, I search for an affordable table saw that is from the 1950s, and 60s when they were made of cast iron and made to last. I'm very happy for you and from what I have read about these saws, you will enjoy the saw and it will make production go smoother and faster. Best of luck with it!

Thank you for providing such an informative video. I have always been a DIY person at heart and have never owned large professional woodworking gear. After moving into a new house, my wife gave me a laundry list of projects to work on. All of which consist of custom cabinet making (walk-n closet, cabinets on either side of a fireplace, walk-in pantry shallow cabinets and shelves, and laundry room cabinets). I am looking at the Harvey ALPHA HW110LC-36P to begin my journey because I have a 20-amp 115V outlet already available in my garage. I live in Florida where the humidity is pretty high. Would the TiN coated table be worth the extra $650? Also, is the underside of the non-coated table painted to prevent rust. I am look at the care of the coated and non-coated cast iron surfaces. On the table's price point, it fits my budget of purchasing the equipment in the first project. I expect the total of materials and table will come in under what the custom work would cost. I am working on estimates for full custom contracted work, hybrid, and stock cabinet prices. I get most of my working knowledge for projects from TH-cam so please continue to produce quality content like this. Thanks again. - Karim

I’ve been trying to find honest reviews of Harvey Table Saw, I’m considering buying, and its hard to find anyone who is doing reviews on anything other than SawStop. The coated table would be a godsend to a guy who lives in humid south Louisiana. I particularly like your comments on the dove-tail trunnion, as this reference in the saw’s website was lost to me, as I have very little personal experience with table saws.

@1915 Woodworks; great share, thanks. not to be critical but as many people mispronounce, the word height is pronounced more like “HITE”. Because it ends in ght, many people confused it to be gth and pronounce the word “HITHE”

I enjoyed your presentation of the Harvey table saw but my garage is not wired to support that motor. Will have to look them up to see if they make a hybrid.
I have a 36year old Craftsman contractors saw that the tables miter gauge has seen it's day.

I would love to have the Harvey miter gauge.

Great review and love your TikTok page too (that’s actually what brought me to your TH-cam page). I Would love the MG36 because the miter gauge that I have is almost impossible to get and keep at a true 90 making my cuts less precise and my projects less professional looking. It is frustrating to get things measure and cut only to have them not fit together flush!

Great review on the table saw and accessories . I first saw this on TikTok and said I wish my saw was that smooth. When I got my latest table saw, I bought a delta for $500. I thought it was great until I saw yours and am now jealous with envy. This saw and accessories would greatly increase productivity and make every aspect run as smooth as that fence. Regardless if I am chosen as the recipient of the giveaway. I will be saving some money to invest in a new table saw and all the goodies that it comes with. Have a great day and continue producing amazing products

Bought my Harvey Alpha HW 110S-36P in late 2022. I have owned many cast iron tool over the last 40 years and my honest assessment is the cast iron surface on my new Harvey Table saw is the absolute worst of any tool I have ever owned. I know how to care for cast iron surfaces too. I have had the jointer for 40 years and it looks good. It has zero rust and I only apply furniture paste wax every 3-4 months. To keep my new Harvey table saw looking halfway decent, I have to work on it every 7 - 10 days to keep significant rust from showing up ( usually in the exact same areas as a few days earlier). I totally regret my purchase from Harvey. Also, I have called to get advice on this issue from Harvey’s customer service and I never get a response from them.

Nice honest review. I want to upgrade to a harvey or sawstop at some point, but not until I get a few more board feet out of my delta. NExt buy however is a good miter, so if I didn't have to buy it, that would be nice! I watched TWW review and although he had issues with his review piece, I think it was an anomaly and all the features seem to point to it being the best available.

These are really nice looking saws. I am looking to upgrade from a 2003 Jet JWTS 10 to either a Harvey or a Saw Stop in a year or two, hopefully less. I’ve made quite a few mods to the Jet and it has served me well. I think it’s time to hand it down to my son. Actually just yesterday I went to use the original Jet miter and it was totally off and hard to adjust and then get back to to 90. I saw your video and thought damn, that MG36 is a damn nice miter set up, I wonder if it would work on my Jet?!?! That’s why I would love that MG 36. Keep up the great videos!

Good review, thanks. I have the 36" 2hp cast iron table top, and this is a great value for what is included. I installed the blade guard and the dust collection thingy. I can confirm it works wonders in most cases. BUT it means thin kerf blades can't pretty much be installed or one must install the thin riving knife and work without the blade guard, which I don't like. The blade guard on a table saw is IMHO the main safety feature.
There are a few other things that are kinda quirky, like that paddle switch (I must be cursing the damn'd thing about once a day...) or the mobile base (Bora imitation, not very good in my opinion). Overall, I really like the machine and it's very well made. The power is there especially switched to 220V like mine. It rocks a full kerf ripping blade without a hitch in 1" oak.
    Cheers!
