    Video was not too long. I have my Harvey table saw for about a year and I love it. considering changing the power button like you did. I bought it for almost the same reasons that you purchased yours. To me the dovetail solution was the most robust and long lasting that was on the market at the time. I worked for a custom home builder when I was young. I learned how to build cabinets and how to apply lacquer on them from an expert painter. I always wondered why the best cabinets had to be imported from Germany. I don't think it is as true today as back then. CNC changed a lot of manufacturing but still the highly accurate table saw is still a must IMO.

    Every time I watch your videos, it confirms that I made the correct decision in choosing the Harvey Table saw. I must admit that you are the finest. Your review of the Harvey Table Saw is exceptional. I need to inquire about the process and equipment required to construct the dust collection modification that connects to the dust box. As you are aware, I reached out to Harvey with photos, seeking advice on how to enhance the dust collection in the saw, but the response I received was not what I anticipated. However, after watching your video, there is renewed hope. Thank you once again for consistently showing me the way forward.

      richh7539 I notice you asked I believe during their live stream and I wondered if the answer was sufficient. What I did I did mainly for my personal wierdness. I knew over time, a few years, the hose would rub through resting on the motor. It didn't effect the dust collection in the least. I only have a shop vac and that little sucker ( no pun intended) does OK. Thas both above and below blade. I have no complaints.

    I love Love LOVE my Harvey table saw. I upgraded from a Ridgid contractor saw but wow, that thing is awesome! Thanks so much for your thought and perspective! You are part of the reason I bought a Harvey.

    Thank you for the excellent review. That bent fence clamp handle should be a bit longer so that the handle points straight down when clamped. I hope Harvey does that with their new design.

      The new big eye is a completely new design and the handle is on top soo much better. They are on the right track

      I have been using a table saw for over half a century, most of that time on saws without either a riving knife or a blade guard. In that time, I have not ever even come close to having an accident. That is partly due to my taking the same precautions as TSH, especially with the hand on the fence side (hooked fingers). And I will shut the saw off before reaching past the blade, even if there is a 6" separation between the blade and saw and the piece against the fence is well clear of the blade.
      As such, I see no need for an expensive and sensitive mechanism that is great for protecting people from their own folly.

      Interesting. I’m curious where you bought your Delta Unisaw at? I never heard of the unisaw just the Delta brand. $2600 is great for 5hp if it beats the Harvey which I like over the SawStop or other common saws.

      Delta unisaw was first made in 1938b
      Now made in China
      I believe but it can be found in internet
      Usually between 2500 and 3500
      Very smooth table saw highly accurate

      I bought it a year before production was moved overseas. It was perfect out of the box. No issues after 10+ years.

    Caught a sale; bought the HW110TC-36P Harvey. It's big, it's smooth, it's solid, it's powerful, and it Cuts really well. The Hi-Lo fence and MG-36 Pro Miter Fence are a huge step above what I have been struggling with. Jim

      James congrats on your new tool. I’m know it will serve you well. Harvey is a solid table saw. They are only getting better. Did you think about the new big eye fence it is really solid.

    I agree about the high/low fence. I don't know of anyone who uses it in the low position - only the high position where there is enough face to clamp/fasten various accessories.

    Right now this saw is under $3k shipped. I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of mine. I took almost a year in deciding to go with Harvey and your videos just make me confident I made the right choice for me. I'll be running the 220 in my garage and doing a full replan this week. I can't wait to really get my woodworking business on the next level with this saw. However, so far, I am underwhelmed with the order tracking system from Harvey. I am not even sure which company is delivering the saw. Does anybody have any experience with shipping a saw from Harvey?

    I think most of the accidents were when people were using the saw without a riving knife and they were reaching between the blade and fence when there was a kickback - e.g. making a short cut improperly.

    I bought their 32" table saw then a fellow woodworker came over to see he loved it and bought thier 52" when he got it the fence tubes would not bolt up so i called them and told them i was on good terms with them because rite after i got my saw i was cutting 6/4" mahogany and the saw would trip the breaker . i had rewired it to two twenty and when the tripping continued i took the switch out and it was a 110 volt switch not for two twenty so when i told them about the wrong tubes he said we will send the correct ones and i asked what do we do he said keep them so i turnd my saw into a 52" cut and i bought my on switch and the wanted the part number.for it

    hi rick the cast iron wing u added does it come pre drilled to mount it ? I assume they make one for the 36 inch . after watching your video I think I'm going with a Harvey

    • @TheShackHome
      @TheShackHome  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Frank yes but I put supports under it just because of the weight. You should be able to see them in the video. I noticed it sagged. Bit after a few months. This helped level the top again, but in my case, it limits the cabinet door to how far it will open because it hits the leg or support now but it’s just something I chose to do. I noticed it sagging once I put a straight edge on the top because of the weight of the table top

      @buggsy5 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Have you tried adding a couple more bolts, or used higher grade bolts? It is highly possible that it is bolt stretch that is causing the sag - cast iron wings are a lot of mass to cantilever. @@TheShackHome

    Would be a better presentation if you don’t repeat yourself several times on various subjects. Also would be good to make an outline before recording.

    5 minutes in and now we are talking about an ancient old Atlas Saw and comparing it. Who cares?
