I think the 2 "stiff" or "solid" tools pick up more of the texture or roughness under or on the paper whereas the credit card is more flexible and will bend easier to the bumpy texture it encounters. I think my favorite look is the stiff paintbrush. It might be fun to put sandpaper under the paper and see how the tools react to that texture. Is that frotage - sort of?
I'm happy to see this video! I loaned my gel plates to my son and now I've decided I want to make backgrounds with painty papers. Of course, I could have done that before he borrowed the plates but did I? Of course not!!
I tend to use junk mail letters and advertisements to make -painty papers and backgrounds instead of blank paper so I need to cover them in some way and these techniques without the gel plates are perfect.
I also have a boatload of scrapbook paper I don't like or will never use for anything that I could also use for pages.
I am anxious to see what your project is! Your videos inspire me. Now I just need to get off my rear and do something besides watch videos! TFS 😍😍🤩
