ATCs - Artist Trading Cards

- Per request, I'm making ATCs today (Artist Trading Cards) - don't know what they are? Simply put they are cards for trading. They are the one piece of ephemera with "rules" or guidelines. 1) they must be 2.5"x3.5" in order to fit in the clear pockets many people use for their collection (the same sleeves used for baseball cards or Pokemon cards) and 2) they should not be sold - only traded. They are little pieces of art to trade with other artists. They are a piece of you to share. Please don't stress when making ATCs - my suggestion is to make them in your own style because I believe that is the point of trading them. To share your art with others.
Some collage, napkin, heat embossing, focal point elements, mark making are just a few of the ideas to use on ATCs.

I love seeing the progression from beginning to end! And it doesn't matter if it takes more than 1 video. I like mass-making and then narrowing down to what can be made from the backgrounds or how to cut masterboards for various ephemera and seeing the final product. It really helps me to just get started. Several videos, each with the next step and you get it done one step at a time. You're an awesome inspiration! ❤❤❤

Hi. I've thought of doing ATCs but never had anyone to trade with. I watch most is the videos with ear buds. When a noise bothers me I just take the ear bud out.

The size rule for Artist Trading Cards is not so they fit in a binder pocket! (That’s the unfortunate crafter takeover of them!)
The Swiss artist who invented them just used a standard size for the cohesion of his exhibit!
I display my Artist Trading Cards on a grid of clips within a large gold frame… it holds 42 cards so it’s a rotating gallery!
Art is meant to be displayed and seen, not squirreled away in a binder!
Let’s bring back the Art part of Artist Trading Cards!
@@FunkAndDazzles I did not know that. I think many people look through their binders to appreciate the art and the people who sent them. Many people don't have the space to display them on a wall. There is no should in art. Everyone can do what works for them. I'm glad you have them out to enjoy. Love&hugs ♥️
