I really enjoy how each cafe's staff had an answer for another location they would recommend, and it basically brought you everywhere. What an interesting quest progression!
So looking forward to go back to Osaka and hit some of those coffee places!! Very nice video, well done and super informative ❤ by the way you have a great voice, it is super pleasant to hear
Thank you so much! I hope you get a chance to check some of them out ☕️ I appreciate that! I’m so sick of listening to my own voice so I get worried others might too haha
fantastic video!!! enjoyed every single minute of it! going to japan in november for 3 weeks (2nd time in japan) and this time my GF and me are going to check out osaka for a couple of days. we are avid coffee lovers from germany and are excited to test all of your suggestions out :D thank you so much!
Finally, a youtube video on Osaka I can use. As a kiwi, I always miss my quality NZ cafe coffee when I go to Japan. I am definitely going to check out yard and aoma.
Before you even said what cafe your fave was I knew just by your facial expression after that first sip of coffee! I'll visit Aoma soon, thanks for this vid!
I had that same (or a similar) Bolivian Geisha at Glitch in Ginza last year and it was the single best coffee I've ever had. Just did straight espresso. These guys REALLY know what they're doing and are a great example of what third wave espresso is about.
Great video! Those 6 are the ones I usually go, being Glitch, Takamura and Aoma my favorites for speciality coffee. Another one I would put in that tier is Barista Map, around Nipponbashi. Probably the best latte I ever had was there. Their ceramic cups are also really nice and the staff is super friendly 😁
This was great. They all look worth checking out. I'm always looking for new cafes when I head back to Osaka. One that I really like because it seems to be off the radar is Oh, ouioui coffee. It's on a side street off Tachibana dōri in Minamihorie. It's a tiny little place but the vibe is cool and the coffee is great.
@@Sunny_in_Japan of course! Also, takamura has an even bigger place in awajishima thats where they do most of the roasting i believe. A cozy drive-odekake kinda day. Ah, there's so many! :D
I think you know why I did that 😉 And I think if you go into the chapters of the video, you’ll find what you’re looking for pretty quickly, but I do encourage you to watch because it will give you important info along with the name of the cafe, which might be helpful for travellers 😊
This was a really cool concept for a video. When I am in Japan in a few months, I think I'll do the same thing with my wife since we both enjoy good coffee. :) Thank you!
Hi Sunny, I absolutely love your content and really enjoy watching your videos!😍 Could you share what apps or software you use for editing your TH-cam videos? Thank you so much!🥰
definitely gonna try aoma, takamura, and yard. i always interested in lilo but damn the queue is never end 😂 btw idk why it’s funny every time you said they have toilet
Great idea for a video! I would argue the cups you drink the coffee out of have a bit impact on the taste of the coffee. I wouldn’t think much of a good wine in a plastic cup or a mug, and I don’t know why some cafes insist on paper cups. Aoma is definitely one place I’ll check out next month when I’m in Osaka!
When to Aoma and Glitch because of this video (was staying near glitch). Very good coffee at both but Aoma’s latte blew me away!! Maybe the best coffee I’ve ever had. Thanks for the recommendations Sunny, I used little parts from your videos on Osaka and Kyoto as parts of my perfect trip
Thanks Sunny, I'll definitely check out some of those while my wife will be doing "retail therapy" at the new Aura stores, we're about to pack our bags for Japan.
Thank you for this video, absolutely amazing and useful for me because I've been searching cafe recommendation in Osaka 🥹 anyway, I'm curious what video camera that you use for this? The tsutenkaku tower footage looks very stunning!
Great video! Do you have any tips for travelling in Japan with lactose intolerance? I assume with food, it's very rare that they cook with butter, cream or cheese (unless its an obvious part of the dish), but is there anything in particular to watch out for or ask for?
Hi Andrew! That’s right, the diet is not as dairy- heavy in Japan as many western countries. Having said that, the concept of lactose intolerant is also not as prevalent Cafes and desserts are the biggest culprits because they’re more likely to be westernised, but most places serving Japanese food will use at most butter There are many western-style restaurants that use dairy, however If unsure, I recommend just learning a few relevant phrases like ‘is there dairy’ and ‘allergy’ so you can ask
Another great vid Sunny, I'm a dirty chai drinker with just a touch of coffee...have you noticed any dirty chai on the cafe menus ? and soy milk options ? I'll go nuts for a whole month without my dirty chai lol
@@Sunny_in_Japan As Australians visiting Osaka, we were confused why coffee shops opened so late, but drip classic was open at 8am! There are two seats *on* the street where we sat and consumed our delicious latte.
Sunny my dear, My question is, where can I get an "A" Grade magic in Osaka? I can survive on a great skinny flat white. But really, what I need is a magic to start my day.
I think Pathfinder in the LUCUA1100 building at Osaka Station has a magic! The owner was a barista in Melbourne 🙂 I haven’t tried it so I don’t know how it compares to the ones in Melbourne

Glitch in Osaka looks so much more spacious than here in Tokyo
Yeah it’s quite big!
Are the Tokyo ones more likely a regular cafe size?
Pretty much all of the cafes in this videos look more spacious than anything in Tokyo! LOL.
珈琲2杯で5,000円! たとえ美味しい珈琲でも飲む価値を感じない。開放感があっても落ち着きの無い店だなぁ。
