A Thai teen suspected of carrying out a mass shooting in a Bangkok shopping mall has reportedly been charged with murder. The attack, which happened on October 3, 2023, killed a Chinese national and another from Myanmar and left five others injured. The shooting came amid efforts to revive the country’s tourism industry after the pandemic. As part of those efforts, Thailand announced visa-free entry for visitors from China and Kazakhstan. Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said he called the Chinese ambassador to the country to apologise over the incident.

If he cannot be executed for his murderous deed the only thing left to do is to keep him forever in a heavily fortified mental institution for the rest of his life regardless of his recovery process. He said he has a darker personality and voice within him that made him do it. He cannot be freed. Who know when his dark personality and voice in him will overtake him again once more in life. He is too dangerous to be set free.

For those who fight for human rights. This is the only 2 options available for him and bleeding heart like you. Either end his life or let him live out his days like this. I prefer the first choice. It easier for him and fair to those he harmed.

He will not be in jail or even close to it. This is not America. He is scheduled to remain at the juvenile rehabilitation center until the age of 18 and then be freed. His parents may decide to send him to another country, which I hope is America. When people forget everything about him, he will return with a new identity.

The parents of the killer have a lot to be blamed. He was not supervised despite of his medical condition. He seemed to have the freedom and money to do whatever he wanted. If the law is not going to punish this boy accordingly because of his age n medical conditions, then the parents will need to be. They have no excuse.

I've once jokingly trying to ask around where to to get a piece and within a couple of hours someone came and offered me with the price for about USD100. Moreover, this country is not safe to travel alone anymore as there are a number of foreigners/individuals who can speak English can be kidnapped and transported to Cambodia to be sold as human organs.

Feel hatred for him but also at the same time feel sorry for him. His parents must be truly demonic people to be around. A young soul is always destroyed by parents and their environment

The kid hears voices in his head. Of course , that still means the parents are negligent enough for a mentally ill kid to get a gun.

What if he wants to be a monk? Can he be set free? In Thailand you can escape punishment by becoming a monk.

??? The golden rules and qualifications for those seeking ordination in Theravada Buddhism are: must not be a suspect in a criminal case, not be sentenced to prison, and not be a prisoner on the run… not to mention age. For minors 14 years old They could not be ordained as monks but only be novices.

This is a national problem. It affects reputation, economy, and tourism. International relations, investment, confidence in safety is gone because of this kid. The incident indicated the problem of illegal guns and gun ownership in Thailand.
