    Nice idea!
    A ‘step bit’ would also be a easier way to drill holes in sheet metal.
    Cheers

      Thanks, great tip. We know our grilling better then our drilling!

      would also help de-burr too, but then again you could just use another large bit :)

    That handle has been changed out too.

    • @bbqdogs3634
      @bbqdogs3634  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s the original handle that came with the bbq. We did loosen the bolts before filming. But no changes made.

      Mine go anywhere doesn't have the heat shield on the handle.

      Waktosha 73 maybe an earlier edition or a European standard. The main point is that we can cook outdoors. Have fun today!

      Default handle looks ugly but design is aimed at safety obviously.

    WHERE CAN I GET A GRILL LIKE THIS ONE? THE TOP HANDEL HAS A HEAT DEFLECTOR.

      This is the Europe version which needs to meet higher demands regarding (heat) security/prevention. That's why this version hasn't got side handles like the US version.

  • @robfilmedit
    @robfilmedit 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did yours come with the heat shield on the handle??

    • @bbqdogs3634
      @bbqdogs3634  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. This is one of the earlier versions. Nowadays they are sold without.

    how about a link for the thermometer used?

    • @bbqdogs3634
      @bbqdogs3634  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We bought it online in the netherlands at a firm called bol.com , if you search under bbq thermometer you will find one. Check the highest temperture, if it doesn't reach 300 degrees celcius it probably is a meat thermometer.

    Surely you just limited the ability to put a big bit of meat in the centre of the grill?

    • @bbqdogs3634
      @bbqdogs3634  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have a point there, but for low'n'slow we only use one side. The heat source is on the other side. So this won't effect the grill space. If you wan't to do a big piece you can take out the thermometer and plug it with aluminumfoil.

    • @thegingerpowerranger
      @thegingerpowerranger 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bbqdogs3634 what is the biggest piece of meat you have tried on it? I've been tossing up a GA for camping and unfortunately do not know anyone that has one. Keen to hear what you think!

    • @bbqdogs3634
      @bbqdogs3634  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Sorry for the late late late reaction. We've tried a piece of pork from about 1,5kg. This fitted without disturbing the airflow.

      What are you trying to put in there a whole lamb shank? The probe is like ¾" from the lid you fool.

  • @abc123def98
    @abc123def98 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have fun eating metal…why would you drill with the lid over your grill lol 😂
