Thanks very much! Really appreciate the positive feedback! I don’t know it all but just a few things that have worked well for me, thanks for watching 👍🏻👊🏻
@@insearchofperch8170 never tried it coz I never really got it. Defo will now tho because my perch fishing has been diabolical 😂 I’ll try anything at this point.
@TheSebtrain yeah man give it a go. Cracking little rig in the right situation! Haha tell me about it pal. I’ve heard dynamite works well, may well try it over the winter 🤣🤣🤣
@@insearchofperch8170 😂😂 treated meself to my first baitcaster and pike rod. Having tons of fun with that at the moment. Took me a good day to be able to cast it tho. You boys make it look so easy
@TheSebtrain It’s deff difficult when you first start pal but you will get the hang of it soon enough! You will be getting onto the bfs gear soon 🤣👍🏻👊🏻
Very informative video bro! Well done! Will be interesting for any angler that can't catch a fish to save his life so it will be definitely very interesting for me 😂 I'm going to watch it again 10 times in a row! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Cheers gez! Yeah it can be tough when you first start and if it helps someone not suffer as many headaches as I did then it’s a win! Thx for watching pal 👍🏻👊🏻
I personally find zman to be one of the better to rig, some of the easier ones to rig I have in my mind that they are a little firm. Not sure if you have daiwa soft plastics but they are really soft and can be a pain to rig straight. Good video mate
It might just be me that struggles to rig them straight haha I havnt used diawa plastics but get what you mean with how really soft lures can be a struggle to rig at best. Thanks pal! Looking forward to seeing your pb video 👍🏻👊🏻
I’ve not used the Carolina all that much but will be looking to use it more in future as it deff has its pros! Great stuff thanks for coming over and supporting!! Tight lines pal 👍🏻👊🏻
@@insearchofperch8170 it’s a brilliant rig when used with offset hooks 6-8lb line 40-50cm hooklengths 3.5g bullet weight. Just drag it around everywhere you go and It’ll never ever snag and it’ll always be working good! Curly tail floating soft baits are lethal on the Carolina! Tight lines to you too pal will be looking foreword to future content! 🎣
@WestNorfolkFisherman deff makes sense as the lure will be floating above all the debris on the bottom! Cheers for that il deff look into fishing it over the winter and see what happens! 👍🏻👊🏻
is the cheb essentially acting like a weedless ned rig? They are not very popular in Australia but Im definitely keen to try it. I've only started using weedless texas, previously I've just been using a standard jighead or ned head.
Yeah exactly that pal but has the hinge there to aid with the movement of the plastic. The Texas is a great rig but give the cheb a try if you are getting on well with the Texas, I think you will do well on it 👍🏻👊🏻
Cheers mate. As I say I’m no expert just how I do things. Deff worth sticking with and learning as it’s bloody good on its day! Cheers for watching Jase!!! 👍🏻👊🏻
Hello pal, quite a tricky one but the easiest way to avoid the silt would be to fish over it with a shad and jig head rig. However as it gets colder this method may be less effective. Some of the canals I fish are pretty silty and even the bottom rigs like the Ned and cheb will work well as the weights that you use are usually sub 5g so tend not to dig into the silt to badly. I’d say if you want to slowly fish the bottom reducing the weight down to 3g or so you should be okay! Cheers for watching 👍🏻👊🏻
Would a drop shot rig with a light weight as suggested by "In search of perch" be a possible solution? This would keep the hook off the bottom. @@insearchofperch8170
Fantastic video explaining plastic rigs for beginners. Absolutely perfect for what I needed to start out fishing for perch.

Most of the canals in my area have quite a lot of silt on the bottom. What's the best rig for these conditions
