Great review. Here in the USA the official ship date is 10/06. I ordered the US FlyMore kit (no RC), a fourth battery, and the RC-N3. I will return the RC-N3 as I was unaware the Neo is compatible with the RC 2, plus I plan to purchase a second Mini 4 Pro for my "follow" missions, so I will order the base Mini 4 Pro kit which includes an RC-N2. That is also compatible with the Neo plus provides twice the flight time (2 batteries in the RC-N3, only one in the RC-N3). All told I think the Neo is a pretty nifty little drone. If you already own an Avata 2, Air 3, or Mini 4 Pro, it is a super cool drone for little coin. Hoping DJI gets these out before October 6 in the USA.
I like the idea of keeping this permanently in my camera bag and controlling it with my phone. I'm a full time videographer and I'm always out and about doing stuff, I fly the Mini 4 Pro, but sometimes I leave it at home because I don't have room in my bag (mainly the controller). Also would be nice if they added a new category for sub 150g drones. Maybe add flights up to 50m in restricted zones like the 5 mile airport protection zone, without needing to fill out the form and ring up air traffic control etc. I have to do that quite a lot with my mini 4 pro as I live in Southend and we have an airport. It's so small and light feels almost silly to phone up air traffic control for a 135g drone
Hey Luke! That's a good use case for this little drone. I agree on the regulation side of things, too. I think we will see a change, mainly because of the sheer numbers who will fly in FRZs or temp restrictions without a clue. The low risk will bring changes. Hopefully, it won't take 10 years, though 🤣

Camera is poor, you will ruin wedding days and have the worst feedback ever, if your clients knew you'd use such poor quality for weddings you'd never get a job ever and not be able to ruin wedding days left rigtht and centre!

@@Geeksvana The Neo doesn't work with the Mini 2 Ocusynce 2 controller even though it asked to update the controller. The app shows the Neo but as soon as I plug my controller to the phone Neo disapears, hopefully DJI might bring an update in the near future to work on older Ocusync 2 controllers.
sorry never used you link as I want it now lol , Amazon next day for me , at the price at the moment it cannot be beat , I want it as a complimentary drone for those quick follow or smart shots , without have to unpack another drone to do the same thing with more set up hassle , now I wonder if my 4g dongle will work 😉🤣
Hey James! Only way would to walk up to the drone and either show hand under sensor or pluck it from sky. The app connects VERY quickly, so if there is an issue you can take control that way. When using the on drone autonomous buttons, the drone cannot go too far you.
Hey Sean this was an unexpected and interesting price point but I have a genuine question for you. If a new drone flyer wanted to either get the neo fmc or the mini 4k fmc which would be the better option?
I was getting ready to order one of the new DJI Neo Combos as it appears that it would be the perfect drone to fill the gap between my other drones and action cameras. But I happened to notice prior to ordering that unlike the UK and other countries of the world DJI doesn’t sell the Neo Combos with the controller to those of us who are living in the United States. This would not be a problem since the controller can be acquired separately however that necessitates those of us in the United States paying almost $100 more for DJI Neo Combos than anyone else in the world. So my questions are very simple! Why does DJI not sell the complete combo package to Americans? And why do you expect Americans to spend a hundred dollars more than the rest of the world to get the same product? I have asked DJI these questions and get no answer. Does it have anything to do with DJI being a Chinese company that feels they can just take advantage of Americans? I’m just wondering if it’s time that I along with many other folks in the U.S. look at other drones manufactures products. I know that there are some other companies that produce some decent aerial camera platforms that actually appreciate American customers.

If you have the goggles 3, and the fpv controller 3 you can fly it in full manual mode. Manual mode gives you full control so you can do rolls, flips, and dives.

Am really surprised they couldn’t make it whisper quiet like the Mini 4 Pro, the scream is such a high pitch and not the sound we could at all do with… surely DJI could have sorted this out.. not rocket science eh??
It seems to me that this is going to need new standards for. I live in a restricted fly zone and it would seem stupid not to be able to use this drone sub house level as the RAF cannot fly this low. It als seems to me it needs new definitions rearding to control requirements as when this is circuling following button presses you have little or no control.
Oh I know, we have had the drone for some time and playing with it. It was pre release issues only and that's what I was talking about. (Plus it is not an FPV drone and it is hopeless in that mode).
Its a no from me,toy at best, poor video quality,too noisy,crashes too much,expect better from DJI,get what you pay for i suppose, returning mine, awful drone TBH

It is under the scope and even has an exemption for parts. We have a drone rules vid coming very soon.
Does it have the same registration BS that they did with their gimbals?

That makes sense. The Neo uses O4, so I think those controllers have more of a chance.

It is perfect for that use. Will sit somewhere convenient for whenever I am out.
If you are using in one of the automated quick shots from the buttons on the top. Can you stop it mid flight if needed if you don't have a controller?

The DJI website says the flying speed of this drone is: 6m/s normal mode, 8m/s sports, and 16m/s manual mode. What is manual mode?

How would you go about adding audio while using the neo in follow me mode whilst talking ie blogs and TH-cam ?
DJI mic 2 will be able to capture audio to the footage you capture
