Hi Carlos, I couldn't agree more. I love the washdown guns that come fitted on the Haas machines we have at work. No doubt you've got one fitted to your Haas machine in your shop. Oh speaking of your shop, that would have to be the best kitted out little shop I've ever seen. Cheers, Aaron.
Nice addition mate.I would reduce the nozzle diameter on one hose for a bit more pressure to help move the swarf.I have turned both plastic and aluminium reducers in the lathe to fit inside the orange nozzles.Put a 1 degree taper on the outside of the reducer and drill to suit a bit more pressure but still a decent flow amount. My wash down hose has a very high tech barbed fitting stuck in the end to increase the pressure a bit.
Hi David. I'm very well thanks for asking. I can't believe that I've missed so many of your latest uploads. I will tick the bell so this doesn't happen anymore. Oh my that new printer of yours is colossal, you can print a house in that thing LOL. Cheers, Aaron.
G'day Peter. Now, that's a very valid point mate. I need to buy one of those kits that has a variety of cap head bolts in them lol. Hope you've been well mate? Cheers, Aaron.
Good job mate this is something I’ve been meaning to do as well haha. You definitely start noticing the little repetitive things like adjusting the nozzle and it’s satisfying to eliminate them! I got a question for ya will call you sometime this week 💪👍🤜
Hey Luke. Thanks buddy just trying to make the little mill less painful to use. How's your big F80 running? For sure man, call me anytime mate. Cheers :-)
Hey Andrew. Thank you very much for your kind words mate and for the support. In regards to negative comments from people, well all I can say is that's it's hard to please everyone. I just ignore them these days and don't reply to them. As an old bloke once said to me, "only a fool, argues with a fool"! Have a top day buddy. Cheers, Aaron.
You know Aaron your wife will understand that a pump upgrade is a safety related item you don't want to break an endmill recutting chips when it is spinning at 10k rpm someone could get hurt! wink wink.......
Hi Paul. yes a pump upgrade is definitely on the cards. Only problem is my wife's a subscriber to my channel and she's already read your message. She actually told before I could read it ha ha ha.
Are your new orange nozzles the 1/4" diameter style? I recently switched some of my machines to smaller 1/8" nozzles (using the same 1/4" "loc-line" flexi hose) since the smaller diameter boosts the pressure quite a bit. But you get less volume, just more direction to the stream when coolant gets low. I put four of them on our Minimill being fed by the single 3/8" coolant fitting (lol)
Hi Andrew, yes they are those 1/4" internal style. That's a great idea what you suggested. Micheal Connor also mentioned (above) about changing the nozzle dia to obtain more pressure. Oh, how is your Minimill running for you? For anybody reading Andrew's comment, go and check out his channel. He makes some crazy parts for paintball guns. Far better machinist than I'll ever be :-)
Your words are too nice :) maybe someday I'll have your patience! We've dedicated our Minimill to making steel parts lately. Still going strong, even for a 9 year old machine filled with rusty chips...
Never a truer word said mate. I love all those crazy 3D / 4 axis parts you've been making. Our Haas SMM2 at school is fully tooled for aluminium. I need to do more steel, might give it a crack on the Skyfire ;-)
Hello Dave. I still have the SF machine but it has been decommissioned and tarped up. I will soon place her on the market to fund a SyilCNC lathe purchase. Cheers, Aaron.
Hey Aaron, normally love your videos, but this time had me cringing.....Bench grinder fixed to the bench with a quick grip clamp?!?!?!? i could see it moving about in your video, no one wants to play catch with a bench grinder!! be safe, educate safe (or at least edit those shots out so i dont know how you get it done!) otherwise you wont be here for the next video. lol
Washdown guns are amazingly convenient additions to a CNC machine. Especially true in a home shop where compressed air is quite limited.

Hi Micheal, good to hear from you buddy. Great advice mate, I'll have to give that a try in my new twin nozzle system :-)
Nice upgrade Aaron. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jody, thanks buddy. It's a simple upgrade, but I think it warranted it. Hopefully it will work better when I start machining. Cheers :-)
cool aaron, thats the first mod i did on my Skyfire. but very quickly moved up and made my own block with even more ports xD
Hi Pieter, thanks buddy. I'm yet to do any machining with the new modification, but I'm itching to get started :-)
I was wondering when you were going to add an extra nozzle (or two, three, maybe four, go all out mate!). Nicely done.
Thanks Doug, a coolant ring would be a great addition to the little machine :-) Cheers, Aaron.
Nice upgrade Aaron! Hope you're doing well.

You forgot to replace the phillips head bolts with M3 socket head cap screws. :)

Thanks for the call Luke. I see a TH-cam video in the making (wink wink) :-)
Yes I agree. The "Crudd" had a little hiatus there for a year or two. Glad to see him back at again. He makes me wanna be a better TH-camr lmao ;-)

But it's true it's a real safety issue! We can't have anything happen to my TH-cam shop teacher...... :)
My wife is rolling on the floor with laughter Paul. She said nice try, but the answer is still no. She's such a ball breaker LOL ;-)
Try a fancy dinner, chocolate, roses and a gift card to her favorite shoe store. Works every time! HWHL!

What happened to the other machine sky fire

Hahaha "I'll put 600ft lb on this in a minute"
This would look better in your shop mate ;-)
It WILL, look good in my shop buzzing out some helicopters :)
Soon, very soon LOL

Thanks buddy, it all makes for exciting entertainment (doh, ouch son of #@*!). Jokes aside, point taken. Cheers, Aaron.
