Nige, There is a benefit of having poor weather conditions and that's a good exhaust. I videoed in sunny conditions yesterday and had no exhausts. Keep up the good work. Regards, John

Valiant effort, BIL digging in through Aisgill, 11 on the hook and no banker, pure magic!

Thanks britboy, under the conditions the crew did a great effort running unassisted, surprisingly I didn’t get very wet as it was mostly drizzle in the morning but my leggings were well and truly messy from Aisgill, cheers 👍

Cumbria liquid sunshine - we love it 😂- was nice to see engine without assistance - tho in hindsight by all accounts it would have been better with a little help - thank you for sharing this with us

Great video Nige in what looks like really poor conditions. I drove down to Greenholme where the visibility was really poor so never got out of the car and headed back to the Penrith area where the weather was an awful lot better.

Thanks David, definitely a dismal day but BIL did very well without assistance until Wilpshire, there’s been some sort of a vehicle there putting in a new fence so it was clear of scrub but was like a swamp so thought I’d give it a try, cheers 👍

What a transformation in scenery and weather welcome home!
Engine going well in such dire conditions, and without 'buzz box' assistance.... winder if the crew emptied the sandboxes!

Thanks George, I wish I’d brought the weather back with me 😂 the crew did a splendid job without assistance until Wilpshire where she came to a stand but the crew got her going again showing there skill and experience, I would say that the sand boxes would definitely have been replenished, it was only light drizzle but looked worse on camera so was fine, cheers nige 👍

Good shots on Shap given the horrible conditions Nige with BIL looking quite competent. Glad you got better conditions at Ais Gill. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face when I passed through earlier in the afternoon (likewise at Garsdale) so I kept heading south! Take care - Chris

Thanks Chris, we definitely had better conditions at Shap Wells compared to what you were getting at Greenhome and when we arrived at Aisgill you could only see the road bridge but decided to wait and see if it would clear some which luckily it did, cheers nige👍

Would that have been Wilshire Bank or was that later??? Probably the latter as BIL reportedly came to a standstill there before being coaxed back into finishing the run round to Preston albeit over 70+ minutes down!!!??? Seemed in fine fettle at Pleasington much later but in the dark.

It was on that bank. Took us 30 mins to cover a few hundred metres. Massive slipping all the way. Very touch and go! Only extremely skillful enginemanship saved the day!
