+Justin When they hit the market in Australia in the 1990s, they were worth about $8000 plus on-road costs. Adjust that for 20 years of inflation, and tell me how many people would buy one new these days. You'd be looking at more than $13,000 worth of 250cc, and you haven't even registered it yet.
+Justin Yeah, they're expensive to produce. So many moving parts in that tiny little engine! This is why all the manufacturers have moved to singles and twins. It's a shame, because the old 250RR is a sick little bike. I love mine!
These 4 cylinder 250's were common in New Zealand and Australia especially in the 90's, I had the older model of this CBR, still see these 4 cylinder 250's around they are very reliable. I had my CBR for 2 years, red lined it everyday never did an oil change.
honda definitely needs to bring back the 4 cylinder 250 series.. idc if it costs a little bit more I want them not b/c they are powerful but b/c they are fun to ride and safer than a duel sport 600
What would you say about this as a learner bike? Is it as terrifying as it sounds? Considering buying one of these but the only other bike I've ridden was a RG150 2stroke around 4 years ago.
look's like a great bike to just ride an still have all the fun as any other bike just not as powerful but looks like it gets plenty of speed pretty quickly for a 250
250's are not slow.go look for vids on the suzuki RGV 250,yamaha tzr and fzr 250,and honda nsr 250.any one of those will fuck up your 600cc on a straight or a corner. even the honda RC166 250 6cylender 2stroke made in 66' will make a 600 look stupid and it sounds far better too.
i know what you are saying ,just that i need it to commute to work and i live in a country wich one liter of gas its almost 2 dollars......so i will pick the new honda cbr cause its 25 kmlt per liter it gives...of course machine for machine this is better.
atilio garcia my mc22 gets between 18 and 22 km/L its only a little bit more thirsty than the new 250, providing you dont pin it open everywhere. ive been commuting on it everyday for the last year and a half, havent had a single issue with it. just ticked over 43,000km. for the price difference between the two, i think the old 250rr is better value. parts are also extremely cheap for it. The mc22 is slightly thinner across the bars and shorter in seat height so it makes filtering through traffic an absolute breeze. its a very easy and comfortable bike to learn on. unfortunately its now getting hard to find ones that havent been thrashed to death and dropped a million times.
for beginners yes, saves gas, cheaper insurance and cheaper monthly payment (if financed). i wouldnt get that one though i would get the ninja 300. faster, good mileage and also looks sexier than that.
CC has nothing got to do with it, its not the bike that makes us fast its the chances we are willing to take but yeah the other comments are right this is a quality bike for low CC if you cant understand that you obviously dont know shit!
Today’s 250s 300s or “street commuter bikes” are twins these days. Weak as shit with no top end. This bike is an in-line 4 with a 20k rpm limit that will not be produced today because it costs too much to manufacture and sales can’t be guaranteed that people would pay the difference msrp.
far more better then todays cbr 250r
But not anymore!!!
Just kidding I kinda really want an mc22 engine.
Even better than the Honda 250rr 2017...
Because this has 4 cylinders
they didn't sell these bikes in north america because they costed just as much to manufacture as the bigger CBR's.
First road bike I ever rode was a CBR250RR and from that point I was hooked. They're brilliant.
I just don't understand why Honda doesn't make those anymore. Such a sweet bike..
+Justin Because it would cost a fortune.
V8Soarer92 Wouldn't it make them a fortune? They would completely steal the beginners sport bike market!
V8Soarer92 Wow good point. When I think of 250cc I think of it being pretty cheap, didn't realize the actual cost of it.
+Justin Yeah, they're expensive to produce. So many moving parts in that tiny little engine! This is why all the manufacturers have moved to singles and twins. It's a shame, because the old 250RR is a sick little bike. I love mine!
sounds like a 400-600 bike
250
I know, because its a 4 cylinder, it sounds like 400-600
True
One of the best sounding bikes ever
Nothing beats the old cbr250rr.
This bike is wonderful! I hope to have an MC22 in a few years.
A place near me just started importing these things.
Say goodbye 2012 cbr250r, HELLO 92!
I used to have one over 20 years ago and I'm seriously considering getting another.
wish my 250 sounded like that lol
So amazing! 19000rpm redline!
16,900 RPM.
WoW!! Amazing sound.
I miss my MC22 :( ... Seeing you riding in your trackies and riding jacket reminded me of mine. Used to do the exact same thing lol.. Enjoy brother..
vspec2wrx hahahaha I wouldn’t do it again lol
These 4 cylinder 250's were common in New Zealand and Australia especially in the 90's, I had the older model of this CBR, still see these 4 cylinder 250's around they are very reliable. I had my CBR for 2 years, red lined it everyday never did an oil change.
I MUST OWN ONE OF THESE LITTLE GEMS !!
hope you get one. its an excellent bike, makes wonderful noise and super attractive.
plenty around.. i saw 8 for sale today!
Gotta love the old 4 cylinder engines
used to have a ninja 250 and i was jealous of fuck of the way these sounded!
Sounds like a freaking mini Formula 1 car!
Damn I wish my 2013 250R sounded like that
AGHHH! This is my dream bike! I love the MC22. Hard enough as it is to get your hands on one.
The sound makes me jizz everytime
I have the same cbr250rr but a different exhaust it sounded way more louder than that, it sounds fast but isn't really fast but fun to ride with.
ive cut my exhaust and its just defining, nice mc19
DOPEPLAYER1999 it would be so fkn loud
lol dude, did u put that helmet on without strapping it in?
Dan W and no gloves 👌
Amazing sound bro 👍
Ahh the good old days.
Nice sound bro
What a wonderful thing
Is that a stock exhaust with the baffle taken out?
000TaNiiz000 stock everything
Wow, really? I've been trying to replicate this sound for the past 4 years... Now I have the answer.
HONDA CBR 250 RR, Oh Yeah.... what a cool bike!!!
honda definitely needs to bring back the 4 cylinder 250 series.. idc if it costs a little bit more I want them not b/c they are powerful but b/c they are fun to ride and safer than a duel sport 600
It looks sick
What would you say about this as a learner bike? Is it as terrifying as it sounds? Considering buying one of these but the only other bike I've ridden was a RG150 2stroke around 4 years ago.
why bother putting a helmet on...
qwerty123627 Because he's not a retrd
clearly he is if he puts a helmet on his head but doesnt buckle it up...
Better than no helmet at all.
not really seeing it will fly off if he had a crash...
hahahaha man, yeah its pretty stupid, back in thailand we didn't even know what a helmet was
Even better than the new CBR 250RR
Where's this place ? in Australia ?
whats the point of wearing a helmet if you dont even strap it
Better than no helmet
Thinking of getting the exact same bike, 1999 model :)
These farings are they original or after market?
Aspire198 original
A bit of clutch play and getting over 14,000 rmp, she screams for you, everyday, without any complaints !
can somebody tell me where i can buy a nice cbr250rr???
Ebay. But I'd go for the 400 rr, quite the same mpg as 250 but much more torque and cheaper spare parts.
Philip Cooper good tip
Philip Cooper 400 would be amazing to ride
Nice ride dude... What exhaust is that?
Will Mc Stock sounds so fucking good on the mini fireblades! Thanks for the 4-cylinder engine!
brother may i know how was the fuel economy level per liter ?
I think these get between 4-4.5 depending on tuning. Its carb fed.
is that just stock can debaffled?
Does the mc17 sound the same?
does the mc17 sound the same
Lasal Banula similar
Lasal Banula sane engine
same but mc17 rev is 18000
is that a stock pipe?
250? Es una bellesa de moto parese 600 no cave duda ke las cosas ya no las asen como antes
Me enamore!!! Puta madre que gran Moto!
Carlos Rangel 😂😂😂
music to my fucking ears
look's like a great bike to just ride an still have all the fun as any other bike just not as powerful but looks like it gets plenty of speed pretty quickly for a 250
BIKES BLADES/GUN'S 5.5 sec to 100, not so bad! Basically good for corners
@@TheMadee91 5.0 to 5.5 seconds for 0 -100km/ h is about right . Same for my Yamaha FZR250 3LN1. 4.8 seconds if you weigh under 70kg .
stock! I took it off once, the feeling of a F1 car madness
how come the new models doesnt like that?
gas millage, epa
did you use the clutch?
Yes
late engage
250's are not slow.go look for vids on the suzuki RGV 250,yamaha tzr and fzr 250,and honda nsr 250.any one of those will fuck up your 600cc on a straight or a corner. even the honda RC166 250 6cylender 2stroke made in 66' will make a 600 look stupid and it sounds far better too.
I agree they bloody fast but the rc166 is a 4 stroke not 2 stroke
motorcycles forever!
Damn we dont have it here:(
Bet that CBR250 would smoke my piece of shit R3. They just dont make these quarter liter bikes like they used to
FPSPhilippines all bikes are fun but yes Indeed the 90s they went all out
FPSPhilippines I know someone who doesn't have much done to his R3 and it goes 0-60 0-100kph in 4.0.
Mc 19 good bike too
Name of the exhaust please
:)
stock my friend
it will be a problem, if your friend's start nicknamed you, Mr. Speed of sound, because your bike exhaust sound arrived early before you..
u sux and uneducated.. any object travel below 1000km/h@mach 1 has its sound arrive earlier...before u talk, think twice...
+Luqman Ahmad aduh Mr. serius, metafora gak harus fakta, fap twice sblm komen, biar paham lelucon
what was he doing 60 ??
jordanmeyer66 yep because 60 zone
Yeah let's go for a drive see how he do's it. Haha nice bike

Nice!
How cost?:D
Just got 3 1989 modules with less than 15k on each from a storage auction parts bikes for mine they font have keys and not going to get them rekeyed
watch out we got a bad ass!
like a F1 sound!!
あんたのCBRもカッコいいけど俺のもなかなかカッコいいぜ!?
はは、なんだ、、、
MC22 ALL DAY SHIT. I OWN TWO OF THEESE FULYSICKMONO'S AYEE!!!? ;)
so much better then the ex250 ninja and the hysong
Check out the engine... check out the track pants.. how many nano seconds abrasion protection do they offer... sweet bike though XD
Josss
that's quick for a 250cc
I got one of these, but it's a repsol edition
This isnt helmet, this is hat
Por que suena tan bienn?? 😢
this looks awesomw, however if you need it more to commute to work i rather take the new one for the gas mileage.
i would not. the new one is nowhere near to compare it. 1 cyl vs 4 cyl. lawn mover vs real deal bike.
Staff Leopold I agree, all motorcycles I've ever owned were in-line 4 cylinders.
i know what you are saying ,just that i need it to commute to work and i live in a country wich one liter of gas its almost 2 dollars......so i will pick the new honda cbr cause its 25 kmlt per liter it gives...of course machine for machine this is better.

how many hp?
thx
+THEfindmaster You can downtune anything, within reason. Just get a good garage and a fairly medium amount of money and there you go.
kaptinkeiff thx
i reckon for its age, it would be under 35hp if you put it to test
no you need to put restrictor kit inside the carbs...but after a few months it will damage the engine
This guy was on highway patrol wasn't he?
Fanian Loy nah not just yet hahaha
why the sound of the new ones are shitty, this 250 bike sounds really good, like a 600
ahhh, that shoelace.
i wouldnt have minded havin that when i was 12 instead i had a CB 450 old ass rumbler
Is that a nice bike to have
for beginners yes, saves gas, cheaper insurance and cheaper monthly payment (if financed). i wouldnt get that one though i would get the ninja 300. faster, good mileage and also looks sexier than that.
Thanks in you rite yes sexier than that
your welcome :)
ktm duke rc 390 is better than ninja and also lower price
I got to look at that
you must be so cool.
i hope 250 rr 2020 is 4 cylinder
why?
+Kaki Gadol because i like the sound :)
k true
lol, ninja duluan, 2017 desas desusnya, buat lawan cbr 250 rr 2016
omg i though before it was 2 strokes, but it isn't !
nice!
CC has nothing got to do with it, its not the bike that makes us fast its the chances we are willing to take
but yeah the other comments are right this is a quality bike for low CC if you cant understand that you obviously dont know shit!
yeahhh wreckless driving the wrong side of the roaaaaddd!!! kawabungaaaaaaaaa
Maybe different country?
tenaciousj95
i was joking =P
When Honda did good bikes!
I had a Kawasaki ninja 500 an it was OK an mine was a 98 to
You obviously have no clue about bikes, this bike has a fucking legendary and in the right hands will run rings around modern 600's.
This bike should at least be 300 not 250 it sounds better than any other small displacement cc bike
Because it's an inline 4 cyl
BlitzkriegRap yea thanks I found out 2 months ago and a 3 days later
Today’s 250s 300s or “street commuter bikes” are twins these days. Weak as shit with no top end. This bike is an in-line 4 with a 20k rpm limit that will not be produced today because it costs too much to manufacture and sales can’t be guaranteed that people would pay the difference msrp.
most are single, mate. not twins. bar the ninja 250/300s.
bfitnessjoe mostly rubbish but good low torque
