I enjoyed your review and I agree with your assessment. I purchased a 911 cabriolet for my wife as a fun car and she enjoyed that car for many years (2006) ........but she only drove it when it was sunny and not to hot. She thought she wanted a sport sedan but when she test drove the Macan GTS she fell in love with that car. Her exact words where it feels like a daily driver that is fun to drive. Her 2021 Macan GTS just arrived and after driving it myself I agree with her!!

Sometimes you don’t need a coupe but suv instead that’s me I fell I’ll be more comfortable in a suv than coupe
Just traded my 2020 911 carrera s for this same car color and all…honestly enjoying my gts more than the 911 ride is super comfortable and sound is better than the 911 sadly threw in a cold air intake from flat 6 motor sports and a pedal commander and it now is so much fun to drive…no regrets at all also, the golf clubs fit so much better lol
Great review. I too was blown away by how good these are! Never considered one as just I’d always assumed they’d be ponderous and 4x4 like. Far from it! Wonderful cars and sound great.

Hi Dave. Excellent Review! Specially when you were accelerating using the inside camera. You could almost feel the speed through the wind shield. I have a question for you: Would you rather have this or your E63S. I vote tor the latter. V8’s are becoming a rare thing.
The 63S is lovely and on another level for performance... the V8 soundtrack is lovely too.... so the E63S would be my choice but it is more expensive and drinks petrol.... Macan would be choice vs a G63 for sure.....

My absolute dream car
I'm looking for a 911 GTS and a Macan GTS for the wife aka what I'll drive when it's crappy outside. Neither are on local lots. There are lots of Cayenne's and Taycan's. I can't wait until production catches up to demand and the market drops but it may be a while.
Great review, really captured the car. I’ve always had hot hatches as a daily driver alongside the Gt3, like Go,f R and RS3. Had one as a courtesy car last year and was blown away as you say so bought a 2020 Macan GTS from Romans in December and it’s been brilliant. The only thing mine didn’t have sport chrono, which I think it needs. Talking to the dealer you can get it retro fitted by the dealer. Did you think the sport plus was worth it over sport option.
I think the sport plus should still be available with a non Chrono car but the difference between Sport over sport plus was the gearing is held for longer under acceleration and the suspension is firmer.... a very capable all-rounder that was a joy to drive.... next Sunday is my review on the new 992 Turbo S Cab.... 😉

@@ghowells5433 the car blew me away... I think the video will say it all filmed at Ribblehead where I drove the 997 4.0.... Speedster also in the works... a walk around video will drop Wednesday 😉 a 911R too should feature before long 😉

A G wagan is the biggest waste of money, its a flex car, i would take this over the G wagon all day
Comprehensive review in a stunning location. I really fancy this model; I'm just concerned that the emissions revolution is going to hit its residual value in a couple of years.
I think petrol engine cars will be in more demand than as new ones cannot be sold and values will actually do well

Great review I’am thinking of replacing my current macan gts with a new one .An alternative is the taycan4s as my daily ,thoughts?
If you don’t need the practicality then the Taycan is lovely car the new estate version is due very soon too so more space on offer.... I would probably stay in a petrol car as long as possible ....
Is it good car ?? Better than audi Q5 ?
Not driven a Q5 sorry...but can an Audi compare to a Porsche probably not in my view...
Porsche doesn't stand behind the quality of their vehicles. The ransfer case on my 2015 Macan S has failed twice now in only 27,000 miles. This is a known issue which caused Porsche to extend their warranty to 7 ys. Their "improved" transfer case lasted only 2 years 2 months and 9,000 miles. I am out of warranty by 6 weeks and Porsche turns their back on problem and sticks me for $3,200 repair. Don't buy a Porsche w/o extended warranty for entire length of time you expect to own it. #1 rated warranty company - Endurance - won't even sell coverage on Macan. That should tell Porsche and all potential buyers something. Customer experience is far from an expected premium car brand experience.
