Really enjoying your videos Andy, it's great seeing the projects from strip to build. can you either comment or make sure it in your next episode you let us know all the sound deadening you removed. how much the weight came to. Really interested in seeing if the pain is worth the reward.
Thanks for the kind words, sometimes when a video doesn't do particularly well I wonder if the effort is worth it - but a comment like this really does mean a lot! (if I'm filming things take twice as long, and then editing is roughly 30 mins editing for 1 minute of video... it's A LOT of arrival time and effort!) All of the sound deadening is off now, in 1 bag.... I can tell you it's worthwhile, but you'll have to guess how much it weighs in the next one 😉
@@AndyPonting Definitely worth while with these videos, very inspiring, an informative, you are right also with the roll cage, you can't put a price on saftey. iv just had my spinal surgery which is great, I feel like a brand new man again. Iv got a mb civic that's currently my track car, but I want to build it to race competitively, iv given myself a 5 year goal. Been a life long dream to do this, but having a physically fresh start at life again, I'm not wasting it this time. Just competing in a race's will give me great gratitude. Not bothered about podium finishes, although would be great also. My guess is 18kg saved, I'm more interested, as it looks pretty much the same amount in my civic. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks! I plan to race with CTCRC in thunder saloons. Want to get on the grid next year but I've got a lot of work to do before then. Build this, get it tested on a few days, fix what breaks, enter race.... also got to get my race license too! Thruxton is the goal.
@@AndyPonting ah so you’ll be on the grid racing against Nick then. I look forward to seeing you guys race. Thruxton sounds like a good goal especially as it’s so local.
@@insidershoe I was just looking to compete and just tick off a life goal box, knowing I wouldn't ever be competitive due to the car not being anywhere near as developed as the other cars on the grid, however the more I'm doing to this, the less excuses I'm going to have 😂😂
Do you know of any 4 lug to 5 (5x114.3) lug wheel hubs that’s bolt up for the S40? I know Mitsubishi has some that work, just not sure which models fit. Thanks
Hello Andy really nice project!! Just found your youtube account today and will be a new subsbriber. I’ve a v40 2004 myself and just can’t find what steering wheel boss hub fits te v40/s40 beacause i can’t find one. Do you know where to get one, or whitch one fits the car? THANKS!
Good day man...need to know. ..are front seat belts interchangeable. ..left hand drive to right hand drive . ..and also...inner Driver seat air bags. ..from left hand drive seat to use in a right hand drive car...btw...keep up the good job with the vids
I'm located in trinidad with a euro, ,,so it be easier to source parts from the u.s. but they be l.h.d. 1.9t...so thats why I'm asking about some parts being interchangeable
@@AndyPonting thanks for responding! I have 2.4i s40 sport mkII I was attempting to remove the fuel pressure sensor and ended up rounding the screw head because of the stupid angle and tight space.. I ended up getting it off with much difficulty, but I need the specific screw replaced, do you know what it's called? + size, etc??
Inspirational stuff, Andy!
You are my inspiration ❤️
Great content Andy 💪🏼
Thanks mate 👍🏻

On the front the FTO hubs bolt up however the spline is different. Rear FTO should be a direct fit. (5*114.3)
@@AndyPonting interesting, Thanks!

Hi, and thank you for the sub!!
I use an MX-5 steering wheel boss, it's the same diameter and spline 👍🏻
Thanks!!@@AndyPonting

Hi, I'm not 100% sure but I would say yes, they are interchangeable.
And how are you able to run 4 ignition coils as to my two...haven't seen that before, ,,cheers man
