  • Such a shame, but one shoe isn’t fixable without mega surgery and somehow finding the exact parts from the Chinese maker..!
So the owner wants me to swap the lacing for static 3.1 style elastics.
    USA size 10 I believe .

If I had a pair of Nike adapt bb are you willing to transfer the auto leasing from the Nike adapt bb auto lacing shoes to the Nike air Mag version four

Hey. No- sounds like a lot of work and space is very tight inside these shoes :)

Why not trade with him a size pair 10 of 3.1s. lol....No Auto Lace Surgery necessary. Then you keep the non functioning auto lace shoe as a project?🛠 🔬

Hey, it’s a good idea , but finding someone with a similar used pair of the same size 3.1s is hard to locate.
And for me personally, I don’t want a used pair of 4s, Vs my mint pair of 3.1s.
Also doing swaps has that element of risk as someone has to post their pair first to the other person.
Its just annoying that you really do have to take the entire shoe in half to get to the motor , as the mechanism is literally surrounding the motor (to protect it from the weight of the user).
      Sad times ;)

🤔i dont see how they were charging $5,ooo+ for shoes that don't have state of the art wire soldering that could last. lol McFly would be very 😡. interlocking jacks wouldve been more futuristic & replaceable. #ripoff

I’m actually going to do a video on the Pitfalls/negatives on these shoes. Just to pre-warn people
I’m getting two reportedly mint pairs from Italy today, all faulty . So you’ll see these on my channel over the next few days….!(soon as they clear customs ).

@@griceyboy so let me ask...with your expertise with this shoe, if you wanted to create an auto lace feature of your own....would you be able to?

      @@sigmaroyalty3883 hello there,
So I did create my own version , it’s on an old video from a few years ago.
It worked pretty well, was the same sort of concept as the v4s, installed into an AliExpress shoe.
But it wasn’t wearable as the mechanism is to big and the AliExpress shoe isn’t deep enough to fit a mechanism into.
So it’s certainly doable as a non wearable item , a fun show piece if you can’t justify the v4 costs.
The v4s are amazing in one way, the actual fabric shoe , but the electronics are just unreliable and the shoe of course, isn’t designed to be taken apart or fixed .
The seller should adjust a few things such as placing the battery and cabling into an accessible box under the inner soles. Plus a few other changes.
The fault I found on Stanley’s v4 motor luckily seems unique so far, really bad soldering which fried the connector - luckily this seems a one off as this fault has absolutely killed the lacing aspect in that shoe - only way to get to the motor is major surgery and not something I’d do unless it was a total project shoe.
