My tremor increase observed and almost stop when I am alone. My mother had this tremor and my sons have slight tremor.
Tremors are SO misdiagnosed. I myself have been diagnosed left and right for years, but no one seems to agree on what I have. There's essential tremor, psychogenic tremor, functional tremor, dystonia, early stage Parkinson's, PTSD, MS, movement disorder, protracted benzo withdrawal etc etc etc. It's a never ending story. The neurologists always have different theories, but mostly they just shrug their shoulders. I have heavy head and upper body tremors. I also have constant internal tremors and a weird movement disorder. Can't lean forwards to brush my teeth without starting to tremble in my upper body when turning on the bathroom tap, and without my muscles locking into a chronic state of tension. I'm unable to preform tasks on the computer that demands concentration without starting to tremble all over, and without my head changing directions. Suddenly my head jerks to the left, other times to the right. It's out of my control. Hard to explain. Feels like I've lost control over my body. The internal tremors is like an engine going 24/7 inside of me. Feels like a vibration of sorts. My hands are dead stable. No hand tremors at all. The only relief I get is when I run or walk. Then the tremors magically disappears. Sometimes I'm able to reduce the tremors by leaning backwards in a resting chair and placing both my hands on top of my head. I also have extreme muscle tension all over my body, specially my legs, jaw and face. It all started with a sudden onset after a conflict at work over 2 years ago. I quit taking Xanax after 23 years of consumption in April of 2020 and I've been assessed by 8 different neurologists and countless doctors. I've considered suicide. This is no life.
Hi, I know what you are going through is tough but hang on there. Did you try progressive muscle relaxation exercises? They seem to help me a bit. Stay strong, you can get out of this!

Have you been assessed by a neurologist or received any diagnose for your issues? Consumed any benzo meds before? As mentioned I've been taking Xanax for about 23 years, so withdrawal symptoms could play a part in my case. It's very complex it seems.

Ok I know this is old but tbh I don’t hate having tremors. I have pretty severe tremors and don’t really think about it now they can be kinda annoying sometimes but most of the time it’s other people that are worried about why I’m shaking. I don’t see why they need to be treated.

I have hand tremors and at times my leg moves. I have been using the Vilim ball for two weeks so far I have no improvements. I’m seeing the neurologist in a few days to determine the type of tremor I have. In my case I notice the tremor in October of last year after I have slip holding the door from falling hard on the floor in August. I’m in Houston Tx.
Is your tremor on both the left and right side? Is it constant or does it come and go? Does it change when you are in different positions, for example better when you are in bed, worse when you are up right?

During the day it trembles quit a bit but stops when I write or pick up a glass. At night I’m able to sleep by putting a pillow under my arm. I also have a rotating cuff tear of 5 mm on that same side. I don’t feel my hand or feet trembling.

I went to the doctor and they have no idea if it is Parkinson’s or tremors and put me on a Parkinson’s drug and the treatment is worse then the problem
Hi Rich, typically a patient with Parkinson's will have or will develop other symptoms in addition to tremor, trouble sleeping, loss of sense of smell and reduced arm swing when walking. It is important to have a definite diagnosis. You don't want to take unnecessary medications. You need a second opinion.
