Is that pre order DLC thing on the cartridge? Cause I heard this game got the whole Pre order chart that they slopply made last year, the zoom in on the islands in the menus, the extra music, letter box backgrounds. While Amy and the Game Gear games are on a DLC code like the back of the box says.
On the back of the cover art, it appears to have Amy (and possibly Knuckles in "Sonic CD") and the 12 Game Gear games playable via a download code. Is this actually true? Are they really only playable via a download code? As in not playable in physical form? If so, that is incredibly disappointing.
They give you a download code for the plus content. If you just put the cartridge without installing the content it will just stay regular sonic origins.
Yeah, I returned my copy as soon as I saw the info on the back of the box... It's one thing to go full digital, but to pull crap like this is ridiculous. Definitely not buying this unless used or on sale.
It gets worse, I've read you can't play Amy and sonic for 2 player and they still choose a chart you gotta scroll instead of directly letting both players choose who they want. Game gear isn't standalone, which is crazy to make people have to buy, and some felt master system versions of those games had better draw distance and sounds. Unboxing helps confirm those rumors of what isn't in physical. At least art is nice but yeah wait for sale if disappointed. I did see the cool lego trailer for sonic superstars and it's unfortunately just Eggman for a preorder bonus as opposed to the level. They're making it harder to want to support Sega.
So does the base physical game come with the art book and the reversible cover? I thought you had to preorder the game in order to get the bonus material.
How cool! I think it would be nice to put the camera above you or over your shoulder next time so we have a more first person view of the unboxing! I liked how you added in the blown up pictures of the content so we could see the artwork! Are you planning on posting some of the gameplay on the 23rd?
Yeah I'm gonna reverse it next time its funny you caught that because I did as well, but then if i would have re-recorded I felt like my thoughts wouldn't be genuine. That's when i decided to put the pics in to compensate not only for that but for my second cameras lack of focusing. As for the game-play of course I'm looking forward to it.

They give a code for you to use to install it if you just put the cartridge in the switch without the code its Sonic Origins Regular.
