- An efficient way to get Proof of a Concord Kept and massive amounts of souls.

EDIT: As one of the viewers pointed out, killing the third one is more efficient. Here's my data using a bleed build with time including buffing.
Killing two knights running back: 32 seconds
Killing three knights running back: 53 seconds
Killing three knights warping back: 50 seconds (PC on a 7200 RPM, 64MB cache HDD, will be way, way faster on an SSD, will be much slower on a console)
The time it takes to load maps is roughly twice as fast on an SSD.
With this method you'll gain over 4M souls/h which is absolutely insane. - เกม

I got so many of each piece of armor, that in each armor tab I could have the whole page be just silver knight gear, just from farming enough for 5 proof of concords. FUCKING FIVE! Took well over 10 fucking hours of total grinding to finish! I am NEVER gonna try to get Darkmoon Blade on any other character. Oh, and the titanite they drop? Almost always regular shards, with the occasional large shard, which should be pouring outta your ears at this point anyways. Even with all the item discovery gear, there were still plenty of silver knights that didnt drop anything, and since each run tends to drag due to having to run up and down the fucking staircase, it easily becomes an unpleasant experience. I am now completely sick of being in Anor Londo.
Don't get me started on Vertebra Shackles. 20 runs and only 3 titanite drops and some Carthus Rogue, with over 350 item discovery. Annoying as fuck loop too. Just gonna get em over time from NG+ cycles that way I am actually having fun. Not gonna torture myself with that shit, already did for Darkmoon Blade. Makes me wish that summoning Holy Knight Hodrick yourself could net you shackles. The spell you get from it isn't even any good, I just need it for the achievement.
Now, compare that to sunlight medals, in about 40 minutes I got over 20 medals, the lothric castle bonfire puts you in a good grinding spot and is an easy reset, can easily do like 5 runs per coin crush depending on your setup. The drop rate for medals isn't fucking abysmal, its low but still high enough that you could, if you so desired, not use all the item discovery gear and still not have a miserable time. The knight also drops his gear with decent frequency, your armor tab will get just as filled but with far less kills. Titanite drops are better, you can easily get chunks out of this, ya know, the one thing a player will be constantly scrounging for to upgrade all of their favorite weapons to +9 before deciding if they are good enough to warrant a slab.

Not to mention i had to grind for about 12 hours with 372 item discovery for the sunlight medals
And the 8 hours run for the vertebra shackles
Farmed for days and still ended up getting a shiny Pokemon quicker than a covenant item.

BSV RedLight Id say give it 30 min to an hour a day. I did mine for an hour or so and got 10. Don't do it for too long or you will lose your sanity.

@@irgendwer3610 yeah if you below 120 above you barly can invade someone unless your in pontiff which in my case is fucking 217 levels blade of the darkmoon is bullshit in that level you can say you will be summoned like after 3 hours and if you failed to kill invader you returne thats the pain im going tro

Oh, you may experience you being less successful invading, then. Because most people seem to stay at 120-125 and using the invasion formula for matchmaking you'll be able to invade players in the level range: 139 - 189.

Joshua Madero Sadly, you can only be summoned by players at level 129 at the lower limit but most of people who stay at 120-125 are the ones duelling so maybe you'll have success, who knows? :p

I have killed these guys so many times I can no longer pick up titanite shards. The wiki says 1/30 chance, but thats nowhere close. its more like 1/200 or 1/300 chance.
That happened to me too. I filled my inv with shards three times before getting all 24 Proof I needed and it took around 8h. Make sure you have over 400 item discovery and keep praying to the RNG. It's extremely inconsistent with low drop rates.
Yesterday i farm for like 4 hours only got around 3 today I started farming and got 7 in 1 hour I did nothing different than yesterday so I don't know what the drop rate is determine by
+MischievousRunt EfU2 it's all random. I finally got Darkmoon Blade. Just patience and time is all. You can get 5 in a row or none for a whole day depending on how the game is "feeling".

+AnEvilVegetable It could be argued that it'd be faster and more enjoyable to just speedrun though the game as many times as needed to pick up the free Proof at Church of Yorshka every time you pass by! That's very consistent, lol.
UPDATE: u can do this on NG normal now if u have the ringed city dlc. with this dlc , do the side quest of Lapp and get covetous gold serpent ring+3 on ng normal
Whenever you measure something by Gains per Time (souls per hour here) you have to remember that time is a resource as well. It’s probably worth maxing out your stacks of homeward bones to reset quickly as the gains vastly outweigh the 500 soul cost of bones, meaning that each run will have the soul yield reduces by 500 but you will have more runs in the same amount of time
Coiled sword fragment is an infinite homeward bone so no reason to buy and use those over the fragment. I bring this up in the improved video I have but TH-cam's algorithm doesn't want to promote that one, unfortunately.
This is a good method if you plan on accomplishing 2 things at once, I've always just farmed the winged knights at the grand archives for souls, each run takes 1.23 minutes(sometimes but rarely 5 seconds more), yields 225,000 souls a run = 13,500,00 souls an hour giving the fact you have silver serpent +3, shield of want, Avarice, and medicants staff. Each knight drops 75,000 souls in NG++. In NG+++ they only give 5k more a piece...not really worth it imo
Definitely worth going into NG+ to farm bosses as well.
In the time it took me to farm for 30 of these I managed to beat Dark souls 2 (without the dlc)
Just did 350 runs up the stairs, killing all three, for over 1,000 kills for only 27 covenant items. Drop rate is 👌👌
I remember on my first ever playthrough I was really struggling with the Aldrich bossfight and ended up grinding levels here for hours. Since then it has become my main grinding spot since I've never found anything else that comes close to the ammount of souls you can get from thses guys,

Nice vid. I'd say the force was with you if you farmed it so quick. I been getting one Proof every hour. After 15 hours farming im starting to contemplate ritual seppuku lol. Leave it to From to make a platinum trophy and two in-game covenants to be completely dependent on another covenant that nobody uses haha.

Just completed this grind myself today. Was getting 1 every hour and then suddenly I got 10 in like 5 minutes. Game must have felt sorry for me :D
Sucks when you are on NG5+ and the enimies have 3000ish health so you spend way more time even with crits or stagger lock lol

You get A LOT more Souls from the Fat Golden Angels like 21.000 per Kill with the Silver Snake Ring +2 and the Shield of Want
takes way longer per run...
I can get 30k+ souls with ssr+3, sow and avarice per run quite risky thou but worth it
Yeah, I used this exact spot to get overleveled while also learning how to parry before aldrich bossfight in NG. I used uchigatana and parried the spear silver knight guy's charge attack over and over again, he died in like 2 parries and 1 attack. Then I took the next guy and did the same, parried him to oblivion. A really great spot imo.
Is the winged knight of the great archives method better or worse than this?
also if your going just for souls, the 3rd knight to the right gives way more then the first 2, so make sure to kill him as well if your going just for souls
I'm on NG+ atm, nearing the area for the grind. Is it still viable in NG+ or should I wait for ++?
fuck this i had 450 item discovery and only got about 5 konkorde kepts, it only took me about 6 hours sigh there goes my platinum
+sean lye I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. It's heavily RNG based. I've heard there were people who had over 500 item discovery and they had no better luck at getting them.
I farmed for an hour last night with 409 item discovery and got 1 Proof... In an hour. It's a joke......
+Rob Smith I agree, the drop rate should be a bit higher or there should be other alternate methods of obtaining the items aside from invading like a minigame or similar.

I've been grinding here on all my builds & I've found that if u land a killing blow as a counter attack (not a parry) or attack them when they're vulnerable after a swing of their weapon, it ups the drop rate + u get estus refills

My item discovery is 385. The drop rate for me is about 1 in every 80 Silver Knights. Same with the Wolfs Blood Grass. I killed 120 gru before getting a single one.

+sam nj Hiya there! It's a universal drop. The ones on the rooftops and the ones in the large room before the Pontiff fight also drop them.

If you own the dlc you can also get the covetous gold and silver serpent rings +3 for higher souls and item discovery
I also found that if you use the sell sword twin blades with a dark buff or dark infused and just spam L1 you can kill the first one really quick after it attacks and the second one right before it can hit you. I haven't tried other weapons but they can't touch me anymore with those when farming.

yeah most any dark damage really tears them up. Dark Fireball is really good for casters that are farming.
it took me 13 hrs to get 16 proofs... thats how freaking rare it is. i was extremely unlucky. but damn the souls i had afterwards. very nice.
If you keep going up to the right there is a red eyed silver knight that drops more souls and sometimes large titanite shards
Can also throw a summon sign down and grind sunlight medals while you kill the silver knights. And if you want to get real crazy, proceed into the cathedral and farm dregs from the clerics. Then coil sword back. 3 birds, plus souls with one stone.

Shield of want and theres a staff you can get from the caster that spawns the drakeblood knight if you kill the knight then swirch to the staff quick u can get more souls

Eric Fulton Seriuos. I´m spended most of my playtime with this covernant and not even once i get called in another world. I´ve killed now more than 2K Silver Knights and only two Items.
ResonanceBlade might be you're lvl im at 200+ and i get summoned maybe 1 or twice an hour if lucky. Its a pain but my only motivation to do this is the platinum trophie nothing else lol.

Does it not work as good on ng+++ , or is it just that the difficulty raise and time efficiency doesnt add up to as many kills.
+e.g john e.g smith It does work, but all enemies have more health and you may not be able to kill them with this setup. For example, at NG++ I cannot kill the knights without the Lightning Clutch Ring, Not with this setup, at least. Surely, you can do it in hundreds of different ways even at NG+++.

Take the sympathie spell to make one of them ally then backstab with dagger, when he dies switch to shield and staff to get their soul boost, when you get the souls you use the spell on the other winged knight, backstab kill kill, then again switch to staff and shield and then again to the third one you do the same thing.
You don't need any armor since you never get hit normally if you do it correctly

Yes, it is. Item discovery increase drop rate of item. for example, crystal sage rapier, symbol of avarice, golden serpent ring, and rusted coin.

2 Crystal Sage Rapiers, Covetous Gold Ring+2, Symbol of Avarice and Rusted Coins.
I also put 99 into Luck.
I knew this spot was good for farming. Now to do this until my hands hurt from holding a controller for too long

Not sure, have not tested it. You do lose out on quite a bit of item discovery and you only get 1/2 the souls per hour.

I would recommend instead having a dagger with dark + the hornet ring to oneshot them with a single backstab and speed it up by a lot

A more efficient method is to use hidden body and a Fume Knight Ultra Greatsword and charge R2 them and finish them off with a regular R2. With hidden body the knights don't agro and so you can just walk up to them and hit them. I respec'd my stats to 40 luck, 50 strength and 15 intelligence, (for hidden body) or you can use the ring that gives +5 intelligence. Ring set-up is Sage ring+2, Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+2, Lingering Dragoncrest Ring+2 and 4th whatever, maybe use Silver Serpent Ring if you want souls? Of course also wear the Mimic head, use Crystal Sage Rapier in off hand if you can and buy Rusted Coins from Patches. It still took me about 10-12 hours in total i think. It's also worth having the covenant item on just in case you get summoned. I earned about 5 on PS4 from online over the course of the farming.
Could you do like 5 runs with no mistakes and report the average time of a run i.e starting from the bonfire, killing the knights (in my new video I show killing three knights grant way more souls/hour, 4.2-4.5M) to warping/sitting down and getting up? For me, an entire run killing all three knights and warping back takes just about 50 seconds. Could you also add the time it takes to load the map if you're warping? I'll happily add it in the description for those who don't want to/cannot respec (:
AnEvilVegetable i've since moved on to new game+++ so i cant at the moment sorry. if you get round to it you should definitely try this method, it seems quicker than the one in this video, although i dont know about your new one i haven't seen it yet.
xMinteee Sadly, I can't. I had to remove my str build because of invalid data caused by an invader (gj FromSoft) so I went with a filthy dex spin to win casual build. There's an annotation on the beginning of the video with a link to it or you can check it out on my channel (;
I still prefer golden fatties on the grand roof, rapport does most of the job for me, i made 1M souls with all the farming items (silver serpent ring +1, shield of want, symbol of avarice) in around 20 minutes.

A better soul farming method is the lothric knight at the lothric castle bonfire he gives the same amount of souls as one of these guys (I think) and it's a way way faster run. Takes about 10 seconds each run if you 2 shot him with spell casting. He also drops embers and chunks pretty consistently only issue is he doesn't drop proofs. Only sunlight medals which are easy to get with co op anyway.

I'm at over a hundred (50+ runs on this) and I have not gotten a single Proof of Concord Kept. My luck is 20, and with everything considered I'm at 345 item discovery, new game +
+xShr00msx Oddly enough, I was bored so I killed all the deacons and slime thingys, and I got Human Dregs (1). It's obvious my item discovery is good enough, as I've been able to farm Wolf's Blood Swordgrass, Vertebra Shackels and Human Dregs with no problem at all. These however are completely impossible
+xShr00msx And now, after doing another 15 runs (so more than 65 total) I got 1. This farming method is the worst out of all of them. I really wish it was easier to get this crap lol
+xShr00msx That's RNG for you. Technically, if the drop rate is 1/30 which is stated on the wikia (although I think it's a bit lower) out of those 65 runs you should have theoretically obtained 4 items, but someimes you're unlucky. Sometimes I got back to back and sometimes it took 45 minutes to get one. It's all chance, and a very small one. It's the best we've got, unfortunately.
depending on your soul level (mine being 120) you gotta go to rosaria and reallocate your skills. I'm doing these runs with 85 luck with the mimic chest head, sage rapier equipped, and covetous gold ring +1, on top of that using rusted coins. I'm ranging at 460 item discovery and even then its taking forever. so far I'm at 7. I'm on ng+ so i got those two free ones in both areas already. so i got those other 3 within id say a range of 30-45 minutes. but I've heard people getting 8 in one hour. just keep trying and if u get tired just come back too it. dude i know, darkmoon blade is OP. hence why its complicated to get

For magic boys, simply go invisible, hit him with a crystal soul spear, then walk up and finish him off with your melee with your shield of want in the left hand. Or right hand your staff and kill him with spells only, shield of want in left hand.

You could kill the silver knight captain to make it 3 in one run and if you have the DLC you can use the covetous gold serpent ring + 3. If you have two pale tongues and don't mind using up two you can change your states to give you 20 or 40 luck then change it back once you have the 30 cords. It sucks hard that you kinda have to farm since being summoned for this covenant isn't reliable
Indeed. I have a revamped version available on my channel where I also kill the captain. Some have said that offline play increases drop rates but I have nothing that confirms that. Doesn't hurt to try tho.

You can! You get no proof though, which is what this video mainly focuses on, the souls are more or less a bonus.
What level is your luck at?
+GhostedBear At 0:38, you can see it's 10. Luck only adds 1 to item discovery per level so it's close to nothing. This makes Knight one of the best classes in the game, as it only has 7.

For my dudes grinding the covenant ítem, put on the darkmoon covenant, do the glitch so you can reset your stats whenever you want and put 99 luck, rusted coin and the sage rapier plus the golden serpent ring
U will get called like a blue spirit a lot cause u are in anor londo plus al the items I said will give you about 2/3 concord proofs every 20/25 mins

You can complete the game 15 times and get 2 proof of concord guaranteed
it literally would take 4 hours to get from 801-802 so, i guess this would be useful until about sl350, but after that, its better to farm invaders in pontiff
It took me over 4 Hours to get ~20 Proof of a Concord. Had half an hour without a drop
You know what's fucked up, on ng+ i died to Aldrich like 4 or 5 times and when i go and try to kill him i killed the sliver knight on the way to him and the knight dropped 6 concord kept, those 4 or 5 times i had no farm gear on
my strategy for the lance is to run up the right side past his weapon art and backstab him off the cliff which works all weapons not just dragon slayer greataxe
I did this strategy until reaching SL 100 and easily kill all non-DLC bosses. Its a good strat, I kill the three enemy in this platform without entering the building.

I do the same grinding. But I don't backstab the first knight. I just know how to time the Dragonslayer Axe's skill to one shot that knight with a spear while it's charging. Much faster if you just L2ed the heck out of these knights.

there is a covenant where you can reset your stats, try to put 99 of luck and it is gonna be a lot easier, you can put your stats how you want after
I made a luck bleed build with 60 luck and because you only get +1 item discovery per level it shouldn't make a significant difference. I have made a video on it, you can find it on my channel as well as a link in an annotation in the beginning of this video. The bleed build grants much more souls per hour. According to the wikia item discovery works as a multiplier. If you have 549 item discovery which is the max and let's say a Silver Knight has a 1/50 of dropping a Proof of a Concord Kept with base item discovery. Your new chance will be 5.49/50 = 11% (with only 1 Rapier), compared to 3.1/50 = 6.2% in this video. The difference is indeed almost 1.77x, so if you wanna be reborn at Rosaria's just for this, by all means go ahead. I'd rather save my points as I don't want to go above NG++ to alter my build if I run out of rebirth points.
AnEvilVegetable i was farming for maybe 2 hours and i got almost 24 proofs, i had 99 of luck and all the others lucky items, but i think that the luck was very important there
Wiz Khalifa You got lucky. Like I said in my previous post, the rarity is somewhere between 1/30 to 1/50 and with max luck you should theoretically get one item drop every 10-20 kills, but sometimes I can go on for 10 minutes and not get a single one, and sometimes I can get 4 drops in 15 minutes, even in my improved farming video where I have 462 item discovery. Because the drop rate is so low, it'll always be inconsistent. I spent one hour in my new video and got 11 drops, the next hour I received 5 drops.
Go to Rosaria's chamber and max out your luck, helped me get about 20 proofs and hour

I'll ask you the same question I ask everyone else commenting ask, because the only ones commenting are having issues. What's your item discovery? 400+ is recommended.
If you have that, my answer is it's RNG. Nothing you can do about it. Sometimes I get 7 in an hour and sometimes I get one every 2 hours. It's solely luck based. Nothing in 4 hours isn't impossible, you're just very unlucky.

I did this to but actully never watched the vid before grinding admittidly it wasnt max ng+ so this wont work probably
But by timing the L2 of the Dragonslayer axe you can kill the knight before it hits u while its charging towards you that goes for both knights
(This was no max ng and i wasnt grinding for souls but for the cov item which ive heard had its drop chance long increased it was bout 6 months ago or so
so this prob wont work without buffing at max ng i am i believe like ng+3 or 4 not 7 i havent played in a while)
And u do trade smtimes but since i had armor on and it wasnt max ng it wasnt an issue so yeah
Im curious if the L2 timing thing works actully on ng+7

You MAY need to buff or equipp different rings in order to make the L2 1hit each knight on max ng+

BUT if you wanna farm souls id say go for the three golden knights in lothric castle sure its much further into the game BUT id say due to the mind controlling pyromancy its safer and Very Easy
Farmed i believe 3,5million souls in 1h 30min ish and Remember i last grinded them i think in None ng+ or in ng+1 so in ng+7 it should be more

But id say unless u want the coveanant golden knights are more comfertable to farm u just take the elevator up to them kill them w mind controlling pyromancy and reset (obviosly sending the Lift back down) and rinse n repeat thats the easiest way i found

they are fixed, just need more people going way of blue when they host, spread the word.
All i do is go on crucifixion woods, invade, not attack the host, help him fend off invaders and occasionally they drop me like 120 great champion souls, im not even on NG+ and im already level 143 or so, im at pointiff btw
