      Thanks man. I love coming up with original ideas that solve problems, and this is one of my better ones. I'm really not the person this is aimed at but even I could tell the quality is pretty insane. Looking forward to seeing it put to good use :)

    I think what you are doing is truly remarkable. The other day I found myself wondering why nobody had attempted to mod these and to ditch the EF mount (among other aspects). Seriously, congrats.

      Thanks man. I hadn't done anything like this before so it was a bit of a learning curve but it worked out really well. For drones especially, I can now run the Laowa 10mm Cookie at only 130g. I've been playing with some handheld designs for a while now, so stay tuned if that's more up your street :)

    hi, thanks for your videos, very interesting. I would need to make a BM6K. Can I send the camera to you and leave all the transformation work to you? Another very important question, what are the times for this job? from the moment that I send you the video camera, after how much time could I have it transformed back ?? more specifically, I live in Tuscany to give you an idea of where I am. thank you

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lec, I offer a 'Kit & Build' service where you send me the camera and I convert it for you. You have the option to have the new screen extension too. We can't account for shipping times but we have shipped 3 orders to Italy this week via DPD and they take 5 working days to arrive. We aim to convert customers' cameras within 5 working days. So shouldn't take more than about 2 weeks, 3 weeks tops, from when you send to when you receive it back.

      @@lecpatoku430 We are based in the UK, the address is provided after you place an order. The price does not include your shipping cost to send it to me. We use a service called interparcel to ship, we recommend.

    Any chance you can fit a MFT mount on the 6k? Thanks man! Love your videos!

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm afraid that wouldn't work. MFT lens won't cover the sensor, its much bigger.

    • @JustinPandelo
      @JustinPandelo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Bludz Thanks! I had seen this about a MFT mount of a S35 6k ZCAM sensor (size 23.4 x 15.67 mm) figured maybe we could pull this off as I want to use the Voightlanders w/my BMPCC6ks (size 23.10 x 12.99). I may buy the ZCAM MFT mount from B&H & try it with a broken screen 6k if I can find one.

    Great work, do you need to have the screen plugged in to boot the camera everytime? Do you have a record and power button adapter for this?
    Thanks.

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks dude. The 6k and 4k kits both come with a custom pcb for power and record control, can also hook up to your FC (using a RealPit). The cameras both work optimally on firmware version 6.9.6 so you don't have to worry about plugging the screen in everytime.

  • @matthewlavin7613
    @matthewlavin7613 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome work. Do you also include the screen to change the camera settings? How is that done?

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. The RTF kit comes with the original screen, but this is only used to bind your bluetooth for the first time. Then you use HDMI monitor to cvheck the feed and bluetooth app to control the settings.

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need the 6K to be on 6.9.6 or earlier. Doesn't mean a camera on higher firmware can't be downgraded though. I recommend checking it can be downgraded to 6.9.6 before buying.

    Can you explain why a lot of people fly the RED Komodo? Why do clients ask for the komodo?? Can you make a Gyro flow tutorial for the BM? I can't get gyroflow to look as smooth or at least similar to Reelsteady for the GoPro's. I plan on ordering a BM from your shop to germany. Update I saw you have a tut for gyroflow. But you have no tutorial for disassemble the 6k BM just for the 4k...or is there no difference? Thank you so much for your work...would love to order today but I would need clients for 6k footage too 😂 but i am 100% sure i will find some and order at least in a few weeks

      RedRAW codec is liked more than BRaw by people that get to choose, some like the colour science more, has global shutter too which is nice. There's a Gyroflow tut on mny channel

    Really what we need is someone to tear apart the DJI digital goggles, get rid of the screens, and instead wire an HDMI output to where the one screen output had been. If you didn't know, the other screen is just a fake mirror. Somene jump on that, I'd pay big bucks for that, because I don't want to wear any gogglepuke on my face and the DJI scuba gear is the worst.

    • @Bludz
      @Bludz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why? We have video out over usb. Very small percentage want to fly from a screen.

    • @choppergirl
      @choppergirl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bludz i've tried it with the Axis Flying box (DJIvideoout over USB-C). It don't work. Latency of 100ms and it crashes after 5-10 seconds; you lose feed and it don't reestablish. Unusable for anything at all, even DVR recording.
      After a month of trying everything with it, I sent it back. Have video footage of my tests but I have yet to edit them into a slamming brutal review.
      100% if my flying is dine on a 44" monitor. I can't read the OSD menu in the DJI goggles at all. There is no way to move hour face closer to the screen.
      Bonafide pirate, a few days ago, flying from living room TV using ama;pg ground station: th-cam.com/video/ssTrzIDc5SI/w-d-xo.html
      I just don't want to wear any crap on my face at all. It's not fun. The DJI goggles are so heavy the press my nostrils together and I can't breathe. I can't see anythign at all. The view is too small. I feel like a roach sitting in the back row of a movie theater inside them. I'm like, how is this fun, this blows chunks. Maybe these fit the face of a big hairy ape like Nurk, but not... me.
      Goes for my analog goggles as well. I don't want this gogglepuke stuff at all on my face while I'm flying... th-cam.com/video/m3njnMp_7Eg/w-d-xo.html

    just fuck off the BM and go with a sony in the first place, you'll get even lighter and have full frame with one of the best low light you can get. I know you've said before theres no point with the sony as there light alreaady but making them even lighter lets say at least half as light including lens gives you way more flight time, possibility for smaller craft, prop protection etc etc

      I carried on looking into this mate, I don't just dismiss people suggestions. Managed to find some stuff out, its generally accurate but don't blame me if it';s slightly inaccurate. So the A7S line all have IBIS and a floating sensor, this does not work on a drone, full stop. The high frequency vibrations drive Ibis nuts and it doesn't work. I was chatting to a guy who took one apart ghoping he could make it work and he kindly told me his experience. He says when you unplug ANY component, the boot up throws a system error. Evenm removing the Tally light caused it not to work. Such a shame. I'm thinking Blackmagic might release a new camera in the next couple of weeks, so hopefully it is full frame and I will strip it :)

    • @eatmykwad
      @eatmykwad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bludz ah OK cool this makes sense to be honest, I guess black magic has something more going for it than I imagined. Of course the a7s doesn't have any ibis its only the later versions nut you can still turn it off. That being said thanks for the info and I'll defo be testing my old a7s with a least a battery mod. I'll let you know how I get on and keep up the good work fella.

      Another reason why full frame will be hard with any camera is the size and weight of full frame capable lens's... they are BIG. Supporting that weight without adding all the weight you lost from going naked. Begins to look like a bad idea. I'm no pro but I feel that Super35 sensor and E Mount is the way to go.
