Thanks so much, man 🙏. Yes, I waited and waited cause I thought this battery was heavy and bulky, instead it should be part of the BM cameras. At least that’s the way I feel now!
I’ve been working in television since 1988 and Anton Bauer has been the industry standard for decades because of it’s reliability. The down side they’re expensive and so are the chargers for the higher end batteries.
Hey Ruben, appreciate the humor and great advice. Thank you for these tips, was struggling to find a good option and this video was just what I needed. Since you have all this experience, would love to pick your brain on the best tripods as well for the 6K PRO

Hi Rubén. Great video! My only doubt is whether this Anton Bauer base will work well on a gimbal, like DJI RS4 Pro with the black magic. Any experience on that?
I really enjoy this video Ruben, very easy to understand AND at the same time you are using so much footage to complete the explanation! So much work but oh so fun to watch! I like it that it has a quick release mounting plate! It makes life of the videographer much easier. It makes easy to travel with your gear. Thank you for showing the footage you made during your holidays in Italy! It is beautiful!
Thank you so much Celine. I lost about 30 GB of photos due to a problem transferring the photos to my computer, but anyway that was a long and sad story. Yes, these batteries are amazing. They last a lot, they are light and very easy to use. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for watching and wishing you all the best 🙏❤️🙏
Ruben! Thank you, you helped me pull the trigger. Originally I had a 195wh v-mount battery which was not travel-friendly. Then I bought a core swx battery similar to the Titan base but with less charge of 3 hours. Knowing that this has a five-hour charge paired with a core makes for the best lightweight travel kit. Thank you so much. 8 hours of power in total
well first of all, Big Congrats, man. You've got an amazing camera! Hope you know it. And second yes, this battery is a life changer. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Cheers
@@topicruben thanks so much man!! I cannot wait to use it properly. I’m worried about the file sizes. I have an m1 chip MacBook. Hope it’s okay! I’m going to start making short films asap when it arrives!
@@Francescofilmmaker Anytime, man. Don't worry about the file size and the Mac with M1 is SUPER. I've been recording in BRAW 6k all the time and it's fine. You can check the other video where I speak about the best setting. Good luck!
This and the Core SWX are very similar solutions but I have to say, it still becomes extremely bothersome having any kind of v-mount attached underneath a P6K camera. It’s clunky and awkward and requires annoying cables. BM needed to somehow make the P6K be able to hold the even larger NPF batteries. That would have been the sweet spot.
Hi Rueben, thanks for the video. This looks like the best battery solution for the BMPCC6KPRO that I've seen so far. Having used the battery for a couple months now, I'm wondering if the charge is still holding up? What is the average time the battery lasts you on a full charge?
Thanks for this video. But you don't mention the duration of the battery. How long will it power the 6K Pro? A full day's shooting? 1 hour? 4 hours? 7 hours?
Sure! I believe it will last you from 3 to 4 hours if you record in 6K BRAW continuously, but I haven’t done the test. I took the camera with me to NYC, and on Monday I started shooting here and there, and on Thursday I charged the battery! All that to tell you that it works fantastic. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 🙏
Fabulous & super informative vid once again my friend! I looked into the battery for my Canon M6 mkII, probably too expensive for me at this time. But if I do get myself together it may be a good way of not worrying about all these batteries, haha! Ecco l'uomo! 🔥🧨💪🏽🤠👍🏽🧨🔥
Great video! I am still (somewhat) considering a Pocket 6k pro and this would be the perfect lightweight power solution. But: I do wildlife video and have a 100-500mm lens at the front that I mount my current camera to via the tripod collar. I think either way I would have to rig this camera (which I don‘t want to) to have a lens support. I will most likely go for the S5 II then, but then I would need an external monitor. The never ending struggle to find the perfect gear for the job
It is a never ending job, indeed! But what about using this battery with this camera. You won’t need an external monitor cause the camera has a fantastic one. The only thing would be the mounting for the lens. One of the things I came to realize is that we don’t necessarily need to rig this camera, of course depending on the situation. Thanks for watching 🙏
It takes me between 7 and 11 seconds to change the battery on my 6k. I carry 3 or 4 around with me when I'm shooting. I'm good to go 3 or 4 hours at a time. No thingy stuck on the bottom of my camera. What's the problem?
I carried between 10-15 batteries initially (not originals but quality adequate replacements). The problem I had is that depending on where you film (static/dynamic) on a hike with 20 KG equipment and environmental temperature over 35 Degress High humidity, a battery change was simply awkward :-D . Changing batteries every 20-30 minutes is very annoying in the long run. I ordered today the Anton Bauer kit for the BMPCC6K, I hope that I spend less time with the battery change and have more time to be focused on filming without the worry that my battery is quickly dead and the file is corrupted as a result.
@@topicruben Your Welcome Mate. Do you have any Experience regarding the Lemo style connector ? I ordered the Titon Base Kit - for Blackmagic Lemo input but i wonder if the Lemo cable doesn't come out accidentally, might there be the P-Tap regulated Dummy LP-E6 battery a safer solution?. @@frederickstadlerfilms That's the one I use, and so far it works super well. Hi, Ruben I am really enjoying your videos! I recently bought BMPCC 6K Pro with two original batteries and battery grip.
