    Thinking to do this on my pa17t as I usually have my young kids on there. Just need to work out how long to make the center bar and what to make it out of. Great vid mate

      @kennyjosevski2145 Yeah that's also the reason I put them on my PA14 because I was taking my daughter out. Good luck with the project.

    “Fantastic video! I’m not the most skilled with these kinds of tasks. Could you share the length of the pipe used and suggest where I might find one similar to what was shown?”

      Hi thank you for your comment. I sold that kayak but it didn't really matter of the exact length it just needed to be past the paddle holders. I'm in South Australia and not sure where you're from. I know you can buy aluminum tubes from a hardware store or metal supplier. It wasnt very hard to do and I pretty much only needed a drill and a hand saw. Good luck with it. Terry

    Thanks again Terry, just for the safety side I don't know why you wouldn't use them. If they stop you from rolling and losing your gear I'm sure it's paid for itself. Cheers

      Hi Mate, sorry I just saw this reply. Yeah a bit of extra safety when I decide to go offshore. Ive got a wife and two daughters to think about. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Hi I’ve just set my pa 14 up the same way but without the extension pipe floats are about 450-500 mm each side of the kayak is this enough or should I do the extension bar, will be using a sail from time to time also

      If I'm understanding correctly you are saying that your floats only come out 45-50cm from the side of the kayak? Longer arms would be better but it would definitely help to stop it flipping so easy in unexpected bad weather.

      It’s just the standard kit as it comes, but I think I should extend the bar better be safe than sorry, many thanks great video too mate

    The PA isn't stable enough?

    • @kayakfishingins.a4327
      @kayakfishingins.a4327  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is very stable but I have been caught in some unexpected big swell before like in this video. I would use them if I was going further out than normal and if I was going alone. th-cam.com/video/NKSnRKLJpq0/w-d-xo.html

      While the PA and outback has great primary stability, it doesn't have good secondary stability like Revo 13 or other sea kayak. Having Ama Kid is added primary stability

      @@usstartarsauce yes that's right. I've owned three Revo 13s and have been in some bigger swell, they performed great.
