Hi! Fun video! Id like to see your other fav colors too!!💜💙 Also when showing your favorite cool greens you mentioned that none were viridian or Phthalo green...but so actually Winsor Green (bs) is Phthalo green (bs) PG7. I get that Phthalo greens are super bright and can be hard to work with straight out of the tube but the reason why so many premade sets come with Phthalo green is because its an excellent mixing color...A lot of convenience greens straight out of the tube use Phthalo green as the base color. If you take your Phthalo green from winsor and newton in this video and add a little red to it-you will get a beautiful warm earthy sap green. You can pretty much make any pre mixed warm green using Phthalo green as a mother color. Okay Im sorry, now Im done with my unsolicited information..lol..Im super passionate about pigments and watercolors- I sometimes over share and go on rants. Lol. Im so sorry. Anyway I stopped the video right when you started painting out the cool greens- so I could write this comment before I forgot what I wanted to say...Im gonna finish watching now. Sorry about my rant; I hope i didnt annoy you or anyone reading this...lol. Anyway great video and thanks so much for sharing..take care and many hearts 💕 💞 ❤️
😂 I love pigments too! I believe I said it was the closest to viridian/phthalo that I was going to highlight (but I didn't say it was all but in name a phthalo). I did say they were good mixing colours and the complementary colour of red does help tone it down. Pretty sure I said that but I also had a wailing cat in the background (she's 17 and needs A LOT of attention). I really just wanted to feature convenience greens so that you don't have to mix especially for washes (as you either end up with too much or too little - often the latter). Hope you enjoyed the rest of the video and will be back for part 2
Also some of my favorite 'Green Earths' are: *Daniel Smiths- Rare green earth (it is just fabulous!!) And *Lukas- Verona Green Earth is also incredible! If you havent tried either I definitely recommend! 💚
O yea I totally see what you're saying. I just mentioned that it was Phthalo green in case you didnt know. Sorry. Awe sweet kitty, wow 17 shes livin life! I have a kitty whose a talker too- my kitty is blind so I think she talks to get our response so she knows where we are in the house...lol. Anyway cant wait for part 2. Thanks for the response. Much love ❤️
@@nadeaner.cowley513 Our cat is deaf and so she is VERY loud plus she may have kitty dementia. At the beginning of the video she tried to walk across my palettes and we both knocked over a glass of water! The Daniel Smith Rare green earth will be in the next video. I love it so much I have it in my little travel palette that I made (there's a video with that). I haven't tried that Lukas one, though! Thanks for that. The Lukas paints aren't as easy to get here but there is a local store with them.
Hi Eileen! I hope you are well and thanks for uploading this useful video. If I may ask, what is the Schmincke Green Olive and what pigments is it made of?
It depends on which one and I have all of the swatches and pigment information on my website: www.eileenreillyarts.com/artsupplycolourcharts 525 Olive Green Yellowish is PO62 and PG36 or 534 Per Green Olive is PO62 and PG7
Hello, May I ask, since I am confused and couldn`t find it in the color chart: what is the first Schmincke`s green that you swatched here and you named it Green Olive? Because the second one you swatched is Olive green yellowish and their Olive green and Permanent green olive are both cooler than that one?
It's Schmincke's no. 525 Olive Green Yellowish if you mean when I talk about the Olive family ones. If it is during the naturals then it is no 534 Permanent Green Olive. All of the colours are on my website under Colour charts. There should be a link in the description. or below if this works www.eileenreillyarts.com/_files/ugd/3d05be_e0553c78ee3e463cb3075b954fb56322.pdf
Love this💚and I was feeling extra for using four green mixes to paint a peony, feeling justified 😄
I'm here to enable 😂
