Bought it with your link.Thank you always for sharing your enthusiasm for and knowledge of sewing clothing with us. 🥰
Do ing a notched collar lesson would be great! Any technique you do is always welcomed. It helps us to be better sewers.
Love it! You are such a great teacher!
Always fantastic 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful jacket, Karina. I've admired that pattern for a long time.... dare I try it? Yes, I'd love a tutorial on the notched collar.
Thanks for letting me know :)
You have always a good taste of combining colors they are so beautiful on you Karina great job
Thanks! I love the fashion stuff as much as I love sewing :)
I absolutely love this caramel colour on you! Worn over that animal print blew me away. ❤ I am interested in how to sew a notched collar too, I need all the help I can get 😊
I would love to see a video on a notched collar, especially seeing the way you sew them! They always give me problems! Thanks, love your videos!
Thank you! I bought this pattern years ago, and now I feel more confident about making it. I'll need a full bicep adjustment, hopefully that is possible with a 2-piece sleeve... Mmmm, maybe it is time to join the Patreons...
Beautiful Blazer! I like your adjustments. It really fits well. Thank you for your videos!
Glad you like them!
I would be interested in notched collar video. Beautiful jacket, love the color on you.
It looks lovely on you, especially the camel colour 🙂
Thanks! It was a dream :)
One of your best blazers Karina.. looks fabulous on you esp on the leopard print dress... gorgeous color n precise sewing🎉
Oh thank you!
What a great addition to your wardrobe! I especially like it with the red!
I think so too!
This looks amazing on you! I wasn’t too impressed to start with, but in the end it looks so great! I have been saving a wool Pendleton piece in camel for 30 years now. I just think the color will wash me out, but I love it with the red. I’m rethinking a coat now.l
Looks great! A sleeveless version would also be a consideration😊
For sure!
I've sewn this blazer and love it. Yours looks fabulous with the animal print! Thank you!
Glad you like it!
Love your jacket and am excited to see how you added a dart!
Great video.
Thanks!
Love your Heather Blazer, Karina. This is a lovely blazer and is fairly easy for a beginner, I agree. I made one in a denim fabric and fell in love with it. I need to make another one for spring. Thanks for sharing your modifications and styling 😊.
Now I have to look for some denim fabric!
It’s a real nice project right? Denim sounds great!
I'd love to see how you do a notched collar. I'm working up the courage to sew an oversized blazer. Love the colors you used.
I am at the level of sewing experience where I could sew a lined blazer, but that notched collar execution usually wrecks the look of my blazer. It never looks smooth when I do it. It’s up there with the shirt collar bumps. Love the blazer and that crisp notched collar ❤ will give it a try. Even like the muslin 😂 The pattern work is pure gold. Glad you are happy with life and sewing. We’re happy that you are sharing this with us. Thank you 🙏
There is an easier way to do the collar and lapel that I also like. When I film this I’ll
Show both :)
That is absolutely lovely! The shaping adjustments you made to it definitely improve it. It looks perfect with the blue clothing options.
Caramel is one of my favourite colours too. Makes me wonder why I don’t have more of it in my wardrobe 🤷🏼♀️
Several years ago I took a lined blazer workshop with the pattern maker. It’s been a long while since I’ve made one, however, you’ve piqued my interest to try one, again. As always, I pick up so many additional tips from your tutorials! What type of interfacing do you use? It looks like a knit tricot?
I buy unbranded interfacing here. It’s not knit interfacing. It’s non stretch and it’s super light weight.
As we are coming into coat season here in Australia I would love to see a video on the notched collar. I am making a few coats and jackets this season and think that a video would be helpful. I am an intermediate sewer but have never sewn a coat or jacket before. The jacket looks stunning over the long weekend dress. Thanks as always for sharing your expertise with us. 🌸🐨🌸
You can use a Hong Kong seam finish to if you want to make an unlined jacket. The inside of the jacket looks very tailored.
Yep. That would be the plan :)
Karina I really value opinion. If you wouldn't mind, can you please answer this question? You do a lot of pattern manipulation, would you ever use a projector to cut your patterns? Thank you♡
NEVER lol. I’m just never going to use a projector. It won’t serve my needs at all.
I need to go back and topstitch or pick stitch my heather collar. It just not as crisp as I would like. Mine also doesn't seem as long. I wonder if it's different for the plus sizes?
I used the XS-2X draft and that’s the length. I found it super long. I don’t know if there’s a difference with the other draft.
Why does an under collar need to be cut on the bias?
Allows more flexibility when it’s folded over. Not every pattern has it this way, but lots do and well made RTW garments have it on the bias.
I assume if high bust is subtracted from full bust, this determines cup size. Is 3 inches B cup?
3”’ is a C cup :) 2” is a B cup.
