The Banshee MkGs is an excellent firearm, it shoots suppressed very well; but for cheek-shooting, there's some definite adjustments that will be needed to the buffer weight, or spring thing (when suppressed). The 147g pills I shoot have noticeably more felt recoil than 115g (suppressed).
The CMMG dissent is even more compact! Only thing is that they don't offer it in 22lr, you need to get the conversion kit, not sure how reliable that is though.

Having a free hand still being able to reliably and accurately put shots on target is a pretty big deal. Especially with baby/infant aged children.
Same. Even though my 22 Charger is a bit "tuned out" for it, it's still not quite as "high speed, low drag" as the CP33. That cleared up a lot of questions I had about what to look for in a cheek pistol. Has kel tec done something different with the mags to make feed them reliably? I've always been under the impression that mag fed 22lr guns don't feed reliably enough for a "serious" gun.
I bought a CP33 4 mouths ago. I added 3D printed cheek parts with rail covers a 45* offset with a ghost viper red/green dot and a 5" M 16/GAU muzzle brake and a single point sling. After site in I shot about a 1/3" group. I also did couple 25 rnd off hand shots at 7 yards with a 3/4" to a 2" group. This gun balanced out great. Had a few people and 2 range officers ask and looked at it. After their drooling over it, HA HA . This would be good for disabled Vets too used on a range or in the field hunting small game.
This concept is really interesting, but I think the positive grip angle would cause a lot of wrist strain, which goes against the first criteria (although the strain injury wouldn't come from weight). You also mention the upright grip is important (7:47), I assume as opposed to a more "target pistol" large positive angle. I think a negative angle would make more sense for a dedicated cheek pistol; something with about a -15-35° angle wouldn't even necessitate to much changes to the internals. Of course this would make it less effective when using it with a "standard" grip, and more extreme angles would necessitate changes to the trigger mechanism and how the magazine works, but nothing that can't be solved.
Super curious about a BRN 180 or Foxtrot Mike since you don't need a buffer tube? They fall into that smallish ar pistol category. I have carbine length but I they do make short uppers for sbr or pistol builds.

What about using a pistol chassis system that a standard slide pistol (such as a Glock) fits into and remove the brace to shoot it with the cheek weld?
Wish we could put a picture in the comments. I removed the brace from my micro roni and bobbed the front off so it would be even with the muzzle of a Glock 19. Works we.l and will fit g17 and g34 pistols.

@demonstratedconceptsllc4918 I was wondering your thoughts about the Taurus Judge Home Defender as a hybrid cheek pistol for car work. I am primarily considering use with 3 in 5 pellet 000 buck with 45 Colt for longer engagements. I propose the following modifications, shortening the barrel flush with the handguard (should be about 10 inches vs 13) and 3d printing a combination hammer shroud, sling attachment cheek rest and more vertical hand grip. this should put it close to 16 inches OAL which should fit in a small laptop sling bag. I think it is a potential hybrid of your shockwave and the CP33 configurations that could flex into either vehicle work or CQB, being shorter lighter and double action and classified as a pistol being the advantages over the shockwave and having the buckshot option being the advantages over the CP33. The longer barrel of the Judge HD should also improve ballistics over other handheld versions of the Judge. I understand I would not get shockwave levels of terminal performance, but 25 pellets of 36 cal are probably on par with a mag dump from a CP33? I currently have a double barrel shotgun cut down to the legal minimums and configured with a strap system similar to what you employ on the shockwave that I can conceal in a backpack, but it requires disassembly to do so which serves some purposes, but not all, and does require a pretty substantial backpack. I don't have the coin to go all in on a AR pistol build that is small and light enough to work for this unless I settle for a bolt action buffer less polymer setup. I do have a business that can write off the purchase of a 45 colt gun and 45 colt ammunition, but not a .22 but that's a weird thing that only applies to me and my business. Last thought, the Judge HD could be fired from inside the bag. Thank you for your consideration. Edit, one of the disadvantages of bag guns is what to do when you have to set the bag down, I don't generally like the taurus hammer key lock thing, but with a small pin hole in my bag, I could lock the gun without removing it from the bag if I have to set my bag down for some reason. Second Edit: no ejecting brass, so this is more ambi friendly
I have a crazy idea but a pps43. I found a company that makes a monut for optics and accessories. It'll take time to build but I'm thinking out of that barrel length with 7.62x25 it will go through 3a soft armor. M57 pistol to go with it cool combo
That’s a hot round, most of the ammo is FMJ round nose, it penetrates more than most any pistol caliber and in that platform it’s an easy low recoil shot, but it’s pretty big and heavy and it’s balanced way different. It’s such a great round but it’s sacrilege for a US company to do something like designing a good around an old Soviet cartridge. It’s essentially a 9mm case necked down to .32, most any 9 could be easily made to chamber and fire it.
If you want to listen to this vid at normal speed go into settings and change it from there. Reduce to 0.75. Done.

@@demonstratedconceptsllc4918 now I gotta play you at 0.75x... Let the haters Adjust TH-cam playback speeds... Just do your thing
I had to turn this *down* to 1.25x. I usually watch on 1.5x. :)
@@demonstratedconceptsllc4918 bleh let them do the work

Speed kills, broseph...kidding. The video is obviously sped-up. I know pistol chassis are great for being compact and low recoil but suck for being dirty, if the muzzle is inside the chassis. Seems like a decent option for us poors, esp if there's a longer after-market barrel.
Sooo… Draco pistols a hard no now. Damn it!!
Man, you talk FAST! It's like trying to comprehend and absorb intensive theorems from the "disclaimer guy" at the end of lawyer ads who's attempting to teach a physics class! I really enjoyed the content and there is no doubt that you know what you're talking about, but the staccato delivery is hard to follow and more than a little off putting, though you have more than sparked my interest in this novel technique.
Nah this just seems to be sped up for the sake of time. Rhett talks very intentional and methodical; watch some of his other videos and you'll see.
Why does this video seem sped up?
Good stuff.
Recording peep:......................stop recording, I think you're speaking was a fast as your shooting on this one, but maybe it was sped up a bit lol.
The ar with a lightweight BCG and adjustable gas sure shoots soft. Have you done any new mods on your ar pistol lately, wondering if you've suppressed it or done anything different on there.
Im hunting with my cheek pistol in two weeks

Are you sped up in this video? :) The diction does not sound like you ...
