- We have been very happy with our John Deere 3025E Compact Utility Tractor. We own 46 acres of pine land and it has been the perfect size to do the work we have asked of it; clearing trails, hauling dirt and rock, prepping a food plot, removing tree stumps, digging ditches, digging post holes - you name it!

Love the calming effect on your grandson! Who would have ever thought of that! ❤
@@g.a.b.811 it is so sweet! Pretty special Grandpa moment 😊
Good review. I have the same machine and love it. I use mine for moving dirt and have a 3 point chipper. Also use it for snow plowing, the R4 tires aren't as bad as the complaints. I grooved my tires and that helps a lot. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the feedback. And thanks for the grooving tip… or dare we say groovy tip! 🤣😂 We have considered a chipper. How do you like yours? Worth it?
@@r-ranchadventures Chipper is worth it for me, I hate brush piles. I have a Woodland Mills WC46, hydraulic feed. Avoid the "chuck and duck" versions. You really want hydraulic feed.
I recently got this same tractor keep the videos coming
Thanks for the feedback! Hope you’re loving your tractor!
Fantastic, well thought out review. Thank you Sir!!
Thank you for your feedback! Appreciate it!
Great review
Thank you! I appreciate that!
I have the same machine and love it! I must be a heavy user because I just passed 360 hours in my first year. I think you would notice less wheel spin if you did have either weights or tires filled. I have rim guard and also run a set of weights on the iMatch and haven’t seen that at all. Loved the calming effect of the engine running - proud Gpa moment.
Thank you for the feedback! We really appreciate it. Glad to hear that you haven’t had any issues either after 260 hours! That’s awesome!
I got one with trailer, mower, and box blade around 6 years ago. No issues except needed a new battery. Just a real workhorse.
Thanks for sharing! I love that! We are really enjoying ours and happy with the workload it can handle!
Beautiful
Well thank you! No one has ever called me that before 🤣. Appreciate you watching!
Well, I'm glad I watched your video. I've always been a Kubota tractor guy, but what you've described about the L2501 strikes home. The 3025e has improvements that the L2501 could use. One thing the Kubota has over the JD is a heavier cast iron drive train. The JD has an aluminum rear axel housing creating a reported flaw allowing the tractor to snap in half around 2,000hrs. That's not a strong sales point for Deere. Also, the extra weight of the cast iron adds to the performance of the Kubota since weight provides better traction and stability in most situations.
Great insight… we will keep our eyes out and pray that catastrophe doesn’t occur at 2000 hrs! We haven’t really experienced any issues with the weight. We pull with a 1/2 ton truck so keeping it a little lighter is a win for us but can see the benefit of the extra weight as well. Thanks again for your insight!
Good review. The gas cap measure of fuel left is simpler. And the key location is pretty low too.
Thank you😊
I want that.
It’s a great tractor! I highly recommend. 😊
I am in the process of purchasing 12 acres in East Texas. My question is not a tractor question. Do have an ag/timber exemption? If so, how hard was it to get? Also, do you have the exemption from the state comptroller office where you do not have to pay sales tax on equipment for the property?
There was already a timber exemption on our property so we just had to file to continue it. Also, we have not done it yet, but A&M will come out and help you come up with a plan to follow; thinning, harvest, ect. And yes, we also filed for the tax exemption with the comptroller’s office. We have only ever used it on the tractor. But as we start to get further along, I am sure there will be additional equipment needed. Best of luck! We love our Piney Woods! What area are you buying in?
Do you wish you had opted for a model with an enclosed cab?
Yes… but we wish we had the money for that model! Lol. But it would have been fantastic; especially in this hot summer. If you can swing it, I would say go for it!
Do you tow that tractor with the F150?
Yes I do, and I have had no issues. Tractor and trailer are below max tow rating of the truck. Once I get up to highway speeds I barely know I’m pulling a load, other than the drastic drop in fuel mileage.
What is the width - outside to outside of rear tires?
It’s exactly 5 feet. So you can use a 5 foot box blade or other 60 inch implements without impeding clearance on trails, ect.
@@r-ranchadventures Thank you!
The treadle pedal is an instant failure for myself, and tens of thousands of others.
Yep! Totally agree! Glad I’m not alone on that!
