Back in the mid 90"s my Aunt was dating Mr. Meyers, so my family invited them over for a family diner (he was dating mom's sister). Half way through the meal Russ goes off onto a tangent talking about huge bosoms and making self love. Never forget my parents faces. They were both very conservative, meanwhile my brother and I were trying not to spray milk out of our noses. He was defiantly a unique individual.

Very perverted man. Never really cared about a woman's true beauty of any size. Because of his movies a lot of women are scarred and feel they will never measure up.

Daps to Conan for having him on...Meyer was one of a kind, for sure!

This is a terrific scene. It plays 'for real' & is really unforgettable. Last night, 2017--the Castro Theatre, San Francisco, was nearly full. We will remember Tura Satana long after we have forgotten Frances McDormand.

Conan was hurting for guests when he began, much as Letterman was in the early 80s.
So they were willing to have on these fascinating out-of-the-mainstream people.
A Russ Meyer could never get on Leno and Letterman today
    -those shows are milquetoast.
That's what cable TV is for.

Glad he got this interview. Faster Pussycat Kill! Kill! it hysterically funny, but still makes a good point about women not having to put up with crap from men.

From a war photographer to a man who defeated and knocked down the american conservatism, always with sharp humor, rough violence, arty manners and the most provocative point of view back then because nobody dared to do what he did with a camera.
Poor stupid people who feel offended just listen: you'll never find in cinema of today so powerful, strong and free women compared with those who appeared in Meyer's movies. Never.
