I just had this conversation last night. Most of the people talking do not even watch track. They were praying for his downfall and tuned in hoping to see it. People have to be honest. He's making track the conversation lol.
He isn't the reason track is relevant, he adds to the hype yes but don't get it twisted track is relevant for only two competitions and leading up to these competitions the olympics and world championship after that no matter what lyles and shaccari or anyone does no one cares it's over it's back to the sports that popular NBA,SOCCER FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, thats the fact if he is making it relevant let's see in the off season if anyone talks about lyles and track isn't in the top ten sport remember that
I’m probably a lot like u. I did all sports growing up and was the TnF star from 8th grade. Ran in college etc. I’m the one that watches the 100m all up to 10,000m. I’ve run them all and know the people in them. But I know this country. And people can’t watch it like any said. One thing I know is TnF ain’t on Fox or NBC LIKE OTHER sports Peace N Love

Track rivalry especially between usa and Jamaica has been around and even more intense than now in Noah's time but the only thing that is different is content. Creators. Noah does not brought any more visibility to the sport than noah did. And I disagree that fans of the sport cannot praise and of quitiize an athlete. We can say he is fast we can say he is slow. We can say he is gay we can say he is loud. When you are a public figure that's comes with the territory sir, that's what fans do there give opinions for or against the athlete, base on the the knowledge intelligence and experience of the fan the opinion may may be sound argument or total rubbish
Making tracks popular while making an ass of yourself is a cheap way to say I am not that talented to make it popular. Tracks will always have a limited amount of fans unless you are a Usain Bolt. Lyles in it for his own attention. An attention that he believes he should get comparing to other athletes in other sports. Noah is trying to make himself popular not so much the sport.
It's working 4 him though. Usain told him personally 2 keep doing what he's doing...that the sport needs it. I'm not a fan of his antics, but I'm not mad @ it either. Usain Bolt was not quiet or bashful. He was VERY FLAMBOYANT. He didn't win every race either. Noah isn't coming n last place against gr8s. He's actually holding his own & people r watching, whether it's 2 c him win, or watch him lose.
You definitely right. But he's gonna be very divisive. you'll either love him or hate him. But there's a saying there's no bad publicity. My issue is they already decided to make him the focal point win or lose. Gabby Thomas for example should have gotten way more media... I used her instead of for tebogo cuz you might think I'm anti American and she even won the 3 gold medals that Noah couldn't produce
When it comes 2 viewership, quiet people don't bring attention. Gabby is nice...& what else? We respect & APPRECIATE her, but there's nothing 2 c. Noah & Sha'Carri have polarizing personalities. U either like them or u don't. That divisive aura brings eyes & keeps people talking. Some will want 2 c them win, other will want 2 c them lose. It all adds up 2 dollars. Winning 3 golds is not enough 2 keep the masses n the US attention. U need more.
