It’s a little pricey I use Igl eclipse for my high priced packages. Believe it or not I’ve put tac systems moonlight on my mobile detailing van a year ago and it’s still going strong who would’ve thought.

Perfect timing on this video! I just had some wheels I've coated come back and I had to use some more aggressive cleaners to remove the brake dust that's accumulated after 3 months. Wheels cleaners diminished the hydrophobics
Great tips! I would have applied the tire dressing prior to lowering the car. This allows you to easily get the full tire, even that small spot where the tire would be touching the ground once lowered. It see that all too often when a car is rolling down the road, and there's that one spot that was missed.

Great video Brian. I don't know why Gyeon would supply that stupid block and cloths for application of a wheel coating. They should give the same soft applicator that comes with Mohs.
International info for you folks. Krystal Kleen Detail R-Evolve Ceramic Wheel Coating from the UK. Users there in the salty air & rainy climate are getting real-world 3-5 years. I’ve got it on my AMG wheels now. It is the strongest wheel coating I’ve heard of or used. It has a huge amount of solids. You can only do about 1/5 of the wheel face at a time before it starts getting hard to remove. If you can find it in stock, it’s the best.

Brain, I need your help. I bought new stock steel rims for my 2000 Camry. I bought the stock rims because I live in a crime area. These are strictly Summer rims and tires. Here's what I need to know what to do about cleaning rims and tires without damaging the rims. What I'm concerned with is how stiff or soft the brushes need to be so that they won't damage the black paint on the rims. I've ask others with no response. Please respond thanks much.

I use this Gyeon Rim. Avoid heavy wheel cleaners and you can get a couple of years out of it. Clean your wheels with SOAP, when they are not too Grimy.
What is your go to wheel protectant?
I’m a huge fan of the Gyeon rim coating and then upkeep with a spray and rinse protection.

On brand new powder coated wheels still in the box is it necessary to wash them first or is a panel prep solution adequate?

After the wheel coating has cured what is the best wheel cleaner to extend the life of the coating?
Ceramic coating has been the best overal for my wheels. Clean up after is easy peasy
Did you use rim coatings or paint coating ?
So when you recoat a wheel, do you treat it like any other painted surface and go full decon, polish, recoat?

Whats the wait time b4 reinstall rims and dress tire tire?
You can immediately install rim....just hold off from driving overnight minimum.
When is Apex wheel coating to be expected?
Early spring.....still testing.
I will use clay as well when possible depending on the pattern of the spokes.
What do you do when you get a set of used chrome wheels that have some rust on the inner barrel?
There are several polishes dedicated fro chrome that can address the problem. Clean them up....coat them.

You can...but if the barrel of the wheel is finished in a dark color....that may leave visible high spots.

None of this is needed if you buy new wheels. Just wash with normal none abrasive soap, dry, and ceramic coat. Lol
