Was thinking of another 4wd trip up around Dargo and came across this YT post. Good stuff, thanks for posting. I’ve come up Wombat Range Spur track, but not done Herne Spur but after seeing this I wouldn’t mind giving it a go Cheers
@@jasonsonneman thx for reply. I’ve just detected you have posted a few other videos that look quite interesting so will be checking those out for sure 👍
Great work mate, just drove this on Monday. Second time now, first was 2 years ago, the track has definitely deteriorated a lot from the first time I drove it. Had planned on dropping the same sort of video, and just stumbled across yours. 🤦🏽🤣
This is a really well presented and very enjoyable video, inspirational even. Im now inclined to give it a burl myself. Refreshing to find a 4x4 that isn't full of Yahoos. You deserve more views a and subscribers. I know nothing about how to widen your reach, but i think you should investigate.
Thanks for your positive feedback! It's certainly worth a trip (in dry weather). The landscape in that neck of the woods is stunning. There's also some great camp sites down that end of the Wonnangatta Valley.
good vid like it that u talked through the vid from inside the car and not putting cameras on the side of the track. i did this track about 3 years ago by my self and have no problems did not think it was that steep accept about 1 section near the top so if this is in the top 5 to10 of steep i would like to see the others
Hi, Compared to the Blue Rag Range track out to the trig (2/10), Hernes is much more difficult - mainly due to steep sections and technical aspect (6/10). I havent been down the back end of Blue Rag past the trig point which is apparently much steeper though. Hernes is a fun drive, probably best done in the dry though. Cheers
Reckons there's much steeper tracks all over the place. There's some fairly steep tracks out the back of Aberfeldy, Dartmouth and even out near Tongio.
very well presented, no crap music intro, just straight to the point with good info
Not your average Sunday drive. Thanks for the beautiful video!
Great video and terrific narrative Jason
Very good content keep it coming very informative for people who just want to know what these tracks are like,
Excellent vid mate. Thanks for sharing

Cheers, glad you found it helpful. Herne's is a fun drive, take it easy and you'll be fine!

Definitely not in my top list of steep tracks! Great fun though!
Great video. Brilliant filming. How would you compare this track to Blue Rag Range track? What time of year was this video made?

Very nice! How did you film all this? The quality of this movie is very good!
Hi, Very simple setup, GoPro7 mounted on the windscreen. Cheers!
Nice video those 80 are a great 4wd just wondering what would your steepest 5 vic high country tracks be ?
Reckons there's much steeper tracks all over the place. There's some fairly steep tracks out the back of Aberfeldy, Dartmouth and even out near Tongio.
Lazirini Spur is a good one for steep tracks, not far out of Jamieson.
Any camping spots on the track next to the river ?
I recall there's heaps of good camping spots along the river. Noticed a few side tracks which must head down to camp sites.
Have you driven deep creek number 4?
Not yet. I've heard the Deep Creek tracks are interesting!
@@jasonsonneman I'm sure they are some of the steepest that are still open.
Thanks for the video, enjoyed that and liked the commentary, heading up there in a couple of weeks to do that track, only if it’s dry🍻🔥🇦🇺🏕
Hi Darren, Thanks for the feedback. Have fun! Cheers
Nice video thanks
