Erin, Grace (Ready or Not), Sidney and Laurie... S tier final girls. Although Sidney and Laurie took time some time to getting to being bad asses, Erin and Grace both came out swinging once the s@*t hit the fan.
We can’t erase Nancy. She might not be the best fighter of them but she had arguably the hardest killer to deal with and was the first to do the whole trap thing.
This is one of my favorite movies to watch people react to; Erin does all the things we want horror movie characters to do, and does it well. The reason why Drake/oldest brother keeps picking on Crispy and questioning his relationship with Erin is 1. Drake is the "golden child" of the family, can do no wrong in their parents' eyes, which led to an inflated ego. 2. From what I saw, Drake and his wife (equally stuck up and judgmental) aren't having sex. Seeing his brother who has an inferior lifestyle, fewer achievements, in a relationship with a socially-engaging, intelligent woman who also genuinely likes him, is attracted to him, irks Drake. He sees Crispy as an under-achiever, and with the inflated ego, he's thinking "I'm the better brother. Why's HE in the playful, attentive relationship?" Boy bye🙄
I think You’re Next is a great movie for people who don’t watch horror because it has everything people want. A smart protagonist, scary killers, and a big twist. It’s a perfect movie imo
I've never understood the bad guy concept of getting angry at the victims for fighting back/harming one of the bad guys. Like, legit anger lmao. How are you upset they defended themselves? How do you think they feel 🤣
Such an underrated gem of a film and Erin is so underappreciated as a final girl. But you've always had taste so I can't say I'm surprised you're a fan of hers!

the actor who played Tarik the documentary director (not sure how to spell his name) actually is a film director irl. Also they are bolts the bad guys were shooting from the crossbow, not arrows.
I only knew Sharni Vinson because of Step Up 3, but between recently watching this and the movie Bait, which I also recommend, she was the underrated scream queen of the 2010s.
One minor thing that irked me about this movie is at the dinner scene when they’re being shot at with a crossbow is how no one thinks to close all the curtains so the assailant can’t see them
